The food wasn't very good. Rice came stuck together, the shrimp dish was more bell peppers than anything and the flavor was off.

I also really enjoyed the Lychee Jasmine and the tang yuan. The other dishes were decent - the lamb and the beef. We didn't love the snow peas though: I thought they weren't cooked enough and my friend thought they were a little stale. I'd come back for the fish filet.

This was close to home and since we were celebrating Winter solstice (cultural holiday for some), we felt it was super appropriate to come here for dinner. We came at 5pm with 4 adults and a toddler (high chairs available!) at this hour on a Sunday, it was like a private booking! Wait staff were amazing and attentive. I like how they divided up the space. Bar in the front, slightly narrow dining hall in the middle, and the backroom that would be good for large groups. The menu is great for 4 people since some of the dim sum come in four pieces. We ordered Soup dumplings, Pan fried pork buns, veggie dumplings, mala fried rice, crispy rice duck confit, spicy fish fillet, pumpkin cake with salted egg yolk (sweet and crispy but soft on the inside!!), served along with a pot of rich Jinxuan tea. Though I pretty much enjoyed everything, I was a tad disappointed in the crispy rice duck confit served with a sweet and sour sauce. It's for sure crispy, and duck was present but it didn't click for me. Having this restaurant close by does bring up some feelings. This didn't exist when I grew up in the area and definitely not at this price point. I wish the owners and staff an abundance of success.

I wish the sauce was sweeter though since the flavor was more j spicy/ salty. I think a different sauce like a hoisin chili combo would make the dish a lot tastier. They have a variety of sichuan dishes. I wasn't a huge fan of the swing pork belly since it's served cold and mostly tastes like cucumber- it was lacking flavor for me even with the red sauce/oil. The sour cabbage beef soup was interesting! It tasted nice and beefy, but was a bit too sour for me. The lemon dessert was my favorite! It was a cheesecake mousse with lemon curd in the middle~ so pretty and tasty! Service was top tier! I'd recommend coming here for the vibes!

The food is why we are all here and this place did not miss! We sat at the bar because we didn't have a reservation and it was a Sunday night. We were told the specials for the night with great detail, we snagged one of the last soup dumplings and they are incredible. The only other place I've had soup dumplings as good is in flushing - that's high praise from this queens girl. Next up we ordered the scallion pancakes - which ruined all other scallion pancakes for me. They were ultra crispy and flaky. The dipping sauce was deeply flavorful and the portion was perfect. We also ordered the chicken wantons that came in a chili crisp oil and peanut sauce, delicious. The pork noodles were the secret star because the description was pretty straight forward. But my partner is a chef and insisted we get them. They were some of the best noodles I've ever had. Definitely made in house and they were coated in a flavorful sauce. The crispy garlic chicken was so good that I had to take it to go because we were stuffed, still amazing the next day. The bartender with the cool tattoos that gave me extra coconut candies, you are truly amazing and really made us feel well taken care of. Can't wait to come back and try mo

Overall 4/5: 2 hot pots and stir fried potatoes (expensive appetizer) with tax was about $40…read moredollars. Their entrees are pretty affordable probably why this place is so popular. Food was decent and there are a lot of options on the menu. Would I come here again? Maybe to try their rice dishes after reading other reviews, but I wouldn't come back for the tomato based hot pot. Ambiance 3/5: A little chaotic. A lot of kids (middle or high schoolers) probably because of the cheaper prices and according to other reviews a discount with student ID. Another large party came in and started moving tables around and people that appeared to be regulars seated themselves. Service 4/5: We were seated immediately at a table for 2 on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. It became busier towards the end of our lunch and it was hard flagging someone to bring us a check. Food 4/5: Decent. Main selling point is its affordability. I regret not looking at other reviews before coming here as people say their rice dishes are pretty good. We got their pre-made tomato hot pot soup base, GF got the original soup base, and some stir fried potatoes. - Tomato hot pot 3/5: I did like this at first. Not sure if the saltiness of our appetizer overpowered the flavors of the soup but it started to taste too sweet (kind of like ketchup?). Slightly disappointed at that. I tried the original soup base and like it more so probably pick another base if you come here. No complaints about the ingredients you get to add though, those were delicious. I chose Udon, fatty beef, fish filet, honeycomb tripe, and enoki mushrooms. - Stir fried potatoes 4/5: They look like fries but they're not crispy. Very flavorful though; salty and spicy. I can see the appeal and would be great as a separate snack but it made my noodle soup taste bland in comparison...

The seating is spacious, the interior is nice, and the service was kind and attentive, which made the visit still feel pleasant.
