This is hands down the worst korean bbq food I've ever had. I've eaten in Korea town in LA many times. The meat tasted off, they only give you 4 side dishes of veggies and can only refill once then they charge you. They have no veggies to order to cook on the grill with your meat. We tried two meats, both tasted gross. We then asked for the check to leave and he asked if we liked it. No, we didn't. It was the worst I've ever had. He says oh it's not what you're used to then, haven't been to many all you can eat korean bbq places then I guess. I have, to many. I travel for work and try to stop at kbbq in every city I go to. They bring the check out, it was full price didn't discount it and said thank you for coming in. Awful awful customer service. We tried the all you can eat and felt unwelcome from the moment we walked in. They force you to eat every bite even if you don't want to. We were served pieces of pure fat and set it aside because that's just gross. However, the server refused to serve us more because we didn't eat the pieces of pure fat. He then mumbled that they couldn't control the fat content of each piece, which tells me that I don't think he knows what butchery skills are especially considering every slice of meat was served frozen as it arrived. Eating here feels like a labor camp where I'm the labor. I felt like I was forced to eat meat in order to be ready for the slaughter. And on top of it all they shove a mandatory 15% tip down your throat whether you like it or not. I'm never going back. This was the absolute worst customer service I've experienced. Went there to eat all you can eat korean bbq. Was given only 1 type of meat- brisquet. That is not all you can eat korean bbq when there are not a variety of marinated meats, veggies and side dishes. Also when I asked for more kim chi since I had no food to eat when I get all you can eat supposedly, waiter took the RAW MEAT tongs and put it in the restaurants shared kimchi container to get more kimchi out. That is complete violation of any food code to use raw meat tong from customers table to serve more kimchi out of.. ABSLUTELY DISGUSTING-Eat their at your own risk of salmonella poisoning. read more

Beef bulgogi - - expensive, flavor was fairly decent but I would give it 3 stars overall. Chicken katsu - - priced ok, was a bit overcooked and it could have used a touch more sauce. Went for option B and was super satisfied will all the options. Definitely ask for a side of their Kkakdugi (radish kimchi) and be sure to take advantage of their delicious Ssamjang (spicy dipping sauce). I would eat there every day of my paycheck allowed it. read more

This place is my absolute favorite place to eat in Eugene. The food is amazing, my personal favorite is the marinated brisket and the curry pork belly they have! Other BBQ places i have been do not marinate their meat they just pour the sauces on before they bring it out to you, but all the marinated meat they have is always full of flavor!! unlike other BBQ that have 2 hour time limits, this place lets you sit down and relax while you eat and you don't feel like it is a race to finish your food to get another order. I have not tried their ramen yet but i have had their Kimchi Fried Rice and it is so satisfying. Their Kimchi stew is also great soul food when its cold outside!!! This place was GREAT! We love Korean BBQ and love to find places like this when we travel. We were in Eugene for a basketball tournament and decided to hit this place up. The food was great and the service was friendly and prompt. We had the all you can eat option and had ordered tteokbokki and japchae as well. Fantastic! We had a group of four and we all did the $20 all you can eat Pork Belly and Brisket. This is a fun and different way to eat for most people. Being able to share with your table mates and cook your own food right on the table is entertaining. The meat was of good quality and the flavors of the side dishes (Banchan) and dipping sauces were excellent. There are lots of other non-all-you-can-eat options as well with what appear to be even higher end and more quality cuts of meat. We saw people enjoying many great-looking soups in clay pots as well. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! Having dined at many good Korean BBQ restaurants up in Washington and Japan, I was disappointed when I moved to Oregon. But then my Korean friend told me about Four Plus 3. My husband and I drove 1.5 hour- he was hungry and complained about the drive, but decided after eating that it was totally worth it! This restaurant is super legit. They do Korean BBQ as it was meant to be- metal dishes filled with sauces, amazing side dishes, lettuce wraps... When we arrived, only one other table was occupied! The kind man who served us ended up cooking our whole meal and showed us the best ways to eat everything. I wanted to eat there again before we even left the restaurant and I have been dreaming about going back ever since. I really hope more people go, because I want them to stay in business! And they rotate the sides you get with it so you almost always get to try something new. Their Soon do bu, tofu soup, was warm and comforting. I ordered beef soon do bu and it came with steamed rice and ban chan (side dishes) on the side. Their side dishes are refillable for free. Their portion was also big. I came in exhausted and hungry and left more than satisfied. I was happy! My friend ordered Jjajang myun, Korean black soy bean noodles, which was also really good! I love how they fried the onions and pork together with the black soy beans and the noodles. We were looking for something light and comforting and our meal hits us on the spot! From the entrance, staffs warmly welcomed us, and guided us thoroughly with the menus. We ordered Four Plus 3 Combo, which was their most popular menu, and got good portion of prok belly and tofu soup. Long story short, food was great, especially pork belly was juicy and tasteful. This was rated as the best Korean Restaurants in town. We were very happy here merely because it's the only Korean BBQ restaurant can accommodate over 30 guests at the same time. We did enjoy the foods, although it may not be on par with the Korean BBQ restaurants in LA, particularly the price, the number of Ban Chan.... (It's not fair to compare them anyway). The facade outside is unimpressive, but the interior is simple yet elegant. The service was quite bad. The server forgot to give us utensils and was unable to answer/explain our questions of the menu. The food was tasty (reason for second star) but the portions were exceedingly unimpressive. We payed the minimum (they make you get two portions of meat for on the table cooking) of approximately $50 for about a half pound of meat. We have been here twice now and everything we have gotten so far has been delicious! I love that you pull out a drawer on the side of the table to grab chopsticks and spoons. The first time we went I got kalbi tang and I am drooling just thinking about it! The broth was flavorful and the beef fell right off the bones. The portion size was generous and the meat so tender it melted in my mouth. The second time we went I got the seafood jjambbong and I couldn't even count how many different types of seafood were in my soup. Even after a few bites you could barely tell -- they give you a lot of food! Even when I was almost done I kept finding more shrimp, clams, calamari, etc. The broth was again so flavorful and so tasty. Coupled with the various complimentary side dishes, I was in heaven! More authentic than most people would recognize. This is a winner. I can't wait to come back for dinner (just had lunch) and take my time. All you can eat sign said $19.95 - a bargain. You cook your own meat on a grill in the middle of the table. The owner took a personal interest in our having a great meal. I was able to learn a little and he was surprised that I make Kimche at home. In Korea, no one would even mention that, it's expected in every household. The owner in this place will show you how to eat everything and all but put food in your mouth for you - it's the traditional way. On to the food, The GRILLED TOFU! was superb. It's house made tofu (unexpected) and grilled perfectly. The sauce was the perfect compliment. I had 4 others friends with me so we all picked something different so we could share meats, nothing was good not even the chicken. Four Plus 3 = Zero. Hey, Eugene math is funny. NO. Don't do it. Really. Overpriced mediocre food, incorrect banchan with no refills, no water refills, being talked down to and pestered. Here's an essay: Just ignore any rating above two unless you have more money than you know what to do with, want to order multiple meals for one person and love being rushed and not having refills. No refills of water. No refills of banchan. They have enough time to come by every 30 seconds to mess with my food, which I don't want, yet don't refill water. Snarky, condescending waiters who think they're comedians with comedy that is at the expense of the customer (psst: keep your day jobs guys). If you do go here, get the all you can eat, so that you might possibly end up not hungry. Otherwise $20-32 for 2-3 slices of meat (4oz total by my estimate), lettuce, salad, rice, some dipping sauces, and banchan. The banchan was as follows: a dish of 2 pieces of soy sauce potato (one large piece, one small), a dish of 2 one and a half inch halves of one broccoli piece covered just with gochujang in a blob, a tablespoonful of very lightly stir fried bean sprouts, and three one inch pieces of kimchi which was not fermented at all and was undersalted and was just a rice paste and hot pepper powder coated bunch of limp cabbage. With zero fermentation. That is the banchan for two people. They inform us that they do not do refills on banchan. So maybe you should bring more than one 1.5inch piece of broccoli cut in two as one banchan, for example? Then they come over and talk way too much, multiple servers asking if we know what we're doing, repeatedly try and put on the meat and shift it around (a huge pet peeve - these places always put meat on so it doesn't brown and flip it before it's browned at all and keep poking at meat when its still sticking to the grill). I repeatedly tell them that I can do it; when I do start cutting up the pork belly with scissors I get one of them coming around congratulating me loudly (- if the girls working at Evergreen can smile and be polite to people asking for chopsticks, why can't these asshats be civil to someone doing it correctly?). Same guy comes back and insists on moving the pork belly pieces, a third of which is still not eaten, off to the side of the grill and putting on the marinated rib meat ($32 for about 4oz of meat, and two big bones which has meat left on it and they whisk away instead of putting on the grill) and fiddling with it until we have soggy, unbrowned, cut up with scissors way before its browned, little pieces of meat. I'm pretty sure the korean server overhears us going ??? this is it? And he comments how it's very good quality meat, and great quality pork belly etc. Yes, I can get the same amount of black pork belly at Asian markets for $2, not $20+, and the meat part is tough, and it's 80% fat, and they almost didn't let me try and brown the pork belly and crisp up any of the fat. How's the taste? The $32 4oz of rib meat is decent with good marinade and good quality. The pork belly slabs are ok, tough, and fatty. The meat is the best part. The banchan is ok if underseasoned (bean sprouts), to good (potato), to terrible (unfermented incorrectly made kimchi, one piece of small broccoli cut in two with plain gochujang dolloped on top), to meh (salad with ??? tasteless red pepper flakes and nearly no dressing). And no refills on the very small, very low variety banchan? Incredible. We're incredibly rushed (and we eat FAST), the flame is constantly fiddled with, the snarky ass of initial server who asked us if we had been here before (we say no but we've been to lots of other koreans) then makes a snide comment about us not knowing where to get our own napkins and chopsticks, and maybe we should have listened to him instead of saying we knew what to do at a korean bbq (because fifteen years of going to them in Los Angeles isn't enough for him). Same asshat as mentioned in other reviews, Byron. Who still works here, yes. Who isn't at all the most condescending one (the korean waiter is worse), or who makes us feel unwelcome the most. Again, we were rushed, and it was 6pm on a weekday, and the place was maybe a third full. We had a 7pm movie and were worried we'd be late. Nope! Had PLENTY of time to spare. There is 15% gratuity added to the bill. For everyone, even two people, even one person. Either so you forget and get scammed for more, or because they know their service sucks and want to not risk us walking out. I'm sitting here a few hours after eating there eating cheetos, and wishing I had stayed home to eat leftovers. Do not go here unless you have zero cooking skills, are curious as to how awful the experience can get, have more money than you know what to do with or want to leave hungry and angry for.
