This is my favorite restaurant in Eugene! All of the meats are so good and pair perfectly with the sauces. I can't get enough of the brisket and lamb. The entrées are amazing, too. My personal favorites are the spicy squid and mackerel. The LA Galbi (short ribs) is also a must-try. The portions are generous and you will leave very full! The service is great, too. The servers are always so kind to us and quick to get us anything we need. Whether you want to do BBQ or just get an entrée, this place is the real deal. First, and foremost, I'm a single dude most of the time, but love dining out when I can. I love all you can eat Korean bbq, but this place is biased to couples and groups as their menu states that a two person minimum is required for all you can, so unless I find a group of people to commit to going here with me, I'll never get to experience all you can eat, like I can on my own at various places I've been to in Orange County, CA. 4 + 3 BBQ, please consider allowing lone wolves to enjoy your ayce menu, otherwise bum deal. read more

The food is fine, nothing is too special and nothing is bad. The service here is not bad as well, they're not fast in taking order or asking us often but they're nice to us. It's pretty hard to get their attention to order though. The important thing is we did not find the limit time anywhere in the store or on the menu. No one has telling us about it when we ordered AYCE. So we just took our time slowly to enjoy the meal. But then when we ordered some more food for round 4, they told us that we already passed the time limit and they cannot give us any more food. We're really disappointed and none of us are full after the AYCE as well. We feel very bad for spending the money this way. All of us are students and we just want to have a nice meal before new year. I hope they can be more informative before hand next time for other people. read more

Great place for Korean BBQ, I come here all the time and it's been amazing every time.

For the price, I would have expected either better quality food or bigger portions. I got the Bul Go Ki (marinated, grilled thin sliced ribeye). The meat was an opaque grey, devoid of life. It was surprisingly still somewhat tender, despite its boiled appearance and texture. I'm willing to wager it was less than 3 oz of meat, though. Rice was good, no complaints there. The ban chan was alright. The kimchi was great - perfectly soured with a good level of spice. The cucumbers and bean sprouts tasted like they got a bare amount of seasoning; maybe sesame oil, salt, and rice vinegar. Simple *can* be good, but it was pretty underwhelming. If you want some meat, rice and veggies at an equitable price, I would recommend Hawaiian Time (yes, the infamous Hawaiian chain) over this... you can get the same amount of food and save about $6. $14 just feels like kind of a let down for what I received. read more

We had a small party where 4 of us wanted the all you can eat, we had a table that was "split" but because we wanted the divider removed we couldn't do this. So they lost money because I don't eat much with ayce, I just wanted to try two meats. I then ordered something cheaper. I also didn't order a beverage because I didn't want to give them anymore money. Further, they add a 15% gratuity automatically. No matter the party size. That's annoying. It's pretty expensive as is, and there isn't much service. So, i guess glad we tried something new, but certainly won't be back.It didn't taste bad, but portion for price wasn't great, it's annoying you can't order what you want, and the auto gratuity was stupid. Looks a little run down from the outside, but it's gorgeous inside! Nice seating when you're waiting for a table. Staff was friendly and timely. The best, realest Korean food in Eugene. I lived in Seoul for 3 years and I went to zillions of Korean barbecue restaurants during my time there and this is the only one I've been to in Eugene that actually gets it right. If you want the real thing, go here. The staff and owners are Korean and they know what they're doing and they've basically airdropped a Korean BBQ restaurant from Korea to our small town. As a Eugene native, I'm pumped that this restaurant exists. The food: Basically any kind of KBBQ you could want, I'd go with the Samgyupsal as it's the most common and popular Korean BBQ dish in South Korea. They include all the right fixings - Lettuce for wraps, small side salad, bean sprouts, sauces (many of them made at the restaurant, excellent Samjang sauce) and the kimchi there is awesome. One thing you can judge a Korean restaurant on is its Kimchi - and this place gets it right. The meat itself is frozen but comes pre-cut so all you have to do is grill it. Tastes exactly like what I loved most about Korean food. Savory and spicy and fresh and juicy all at the same time. The restaurant itself is pretty simple, but the grills are all that really matters. They play KPOP videos (not my thing really) but I get that it's part of the atmosphere and gives the place some nice energy. There's plenty of spaces and if you don't want to be near a grill and just order plates from the menu, you can sit in a less smoky or noisy area. Excellent for parties. All the staff are great, attentive, fast to act and obviously are working hard to make a great experience. Jin, Byron, and the rest have always been incredibly kind and helpful and will explain anything you need, or if you're a pro at KBBQ like me, they'll get you exactly what you want. The owners and staff make frequent trips to Portland so they can get the ingredients they need to make they authentic Korean kimchi and spices. One thing to note: You can order small dishes, but if you're looking to ear Korean barbecue, it's not like you're going to have it made for you and fed to you. One of my friends said it was too much work and next time he would just order a plate. That's fine, but you come here to get a KBBQ experience of eating grilled meats and constructing awesome lettuce wraps. I've been to almost all of the other Korean restaurants in Eugene, and this is the only one I will go to anymore. Everything else just feels like an Americanized or low-quality imitation. Always a great experience at this Korean bbq establishment. I've only ever come here for Korean bbq and I've always gotten the all you can eat! Which is delicious, the four meat combination is the nicest. I prefer the bulgogi, pork belly, and spicy pork! The brisket is okay but not my favourite. Really displeased with the service, especially the waiter (receipt says Byron) we had for our table. I really have never been treated like this at a restaurant before. It started off badly from the beginning. He gave us the menus and then within 10 seconds returned to see if we wanted anything other than water. He seemed visibly annoyed that we weren't ready with our selection and since we felt so rushed we decided to have only water. I had one question about an item on the menu and he quickly cut me off and said "can you read it right here" and pointed at it. He very aggressive about a simple question for clarification. From then on, it got worse. He pressured us to hurry and order even thought it was early on a Friday night and there were only two other tables of customers. He was very pushy and loudly exclaimed "one at a time!!" when I picked up three napkins to pass out to the three people at our table (after he told us to get our own silverware and napkins from the table drawer). He basically ordered us to put certain sauces on meats that we had. Even though I politely declined, he used a spoon and grabbed a large serving of sauce and put it on my food. It was such an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. We felt like he was watching us like a hawk when we were eating. There was one other waiter who had assisted once at our table and had no sassy or rude comments, so I would say this review is specifically written about Byron. This was a terrible experience, especially since we were coming with our friend who was visiting from TOKYO, JAPAN and had wanted to eat Korean BBQ. Our usual choice was Maru, but since it has closed, we tried out this restaurant from the reviews on Yelp. The meat for the Korean BBQ did not appear to be the best quality, and very small amounts of banchan given. Because of this horrible service and the ok food, I won't be returning because of the slightest chance that I would have this same waiter. read more

This was the worst Korean bbq experience I've ever had. The food was not good or traditional to normal places. KKOKI is way better if you're in Eugene. Their meat was gritty and tasted old. We cooked two meats out of the 4, and then asked for our check. To my surprise he asked if we liked it, which we told him we did not and what we didn't like, and that the meat tasted bad. He brought back the full check without taking anything off as well. $60 wasted, but at least hopefully saved myself food poisoning. They don't oil their grill or offer vegetables with the all you can eat. The traditional sides you normally get, are lacking and they charge to get more than twice. Very disappointing. The quality of meat is not up to par for the price they charge for eat all you can compare to kkoki restaurant. To sad bec this place is closer to where we live and that's why we gave it a try. I would rather drive a little bit farther and get my money worth it at kkoki next time. I was also surprise that they charge adult price to a 10 years old kid. The air conditioning is not comfortable while doing an indoor grilling too. We were all hot and just want to get out of there. We've been living in Eugene for many years, and tonight we wanted to try the Korean BBQ place that we've driven by so many times. We weren't interested in the buffet as we didn't want to have too much - but instead we decided to try the Bulgoki Beef, Bi Bim Bob (w/ pork) and Chicken Katsu. All the meats were fresh, cooked well, and tasty- full of flavor. The veggies were very good as well. The Bi Bim Bob was especially good, just the right combination of crunchy rice, tangy, spicy and sweet. The Kimchi was fresh, and seasoned perfectly. Our daughter loved the K-Pop on the screen. The sauces were all very delicious. Our server was friendly and very personable. We will be going back again for sure. read more

I stopped in here for lunch with my boyfriend and while the place was empty I have a feeling they get busy around dinner time. Their main attraction is the Korean style BBQ that you cook at your own table but be aware that the prices are a little high so if you're looking for something on the cheap side this probably isn't your place. While they do have other items on the menu, you all have to get Korean BBQ even if only one person wants it. They were also very strict about if you wanted the all you can eat you cannot share with the other person which makes me think they watch you like a hawk while you eat but I could be wrong. Because we didn't want to spend 16-25 dollars a person we both went with the bibimbop meal that come in a hot sizzling bowl for $11. It was a really nice portion and the nice man who was helping us told us the correct way to mix our ingredients so we could get the full experience. I really appreciated this because when you try something new its nice to have a little bit of direction or at least a suggestion from your server. We liked that it was the right amount of spicy and very authentic. The dumpling appetizer was just ok in my books. While cooked nicely on the outside the inside didn't have much flavor and was a bit salty. I definetly want to come back and do the full BBQ experience here with some friends because it seems really fun! I think they also have karaoke in the back but I'm not sure when. I love it here! The food was good! The table was spacious and I didn't feel like I was squish up at the table. The table itself was loaded with napkins and utensils, so don't always have to ask the waiter for it. I wish there was a little bit more variety for the sauces and side dishes. My bestie has been a resident of Koreatown, Los Angeles for the past 5 years, and her ZIP code is an endless source of joy for me. Not only does she mail me Korean beauty products and Choco Pies, she also visits me with a cooler of marinated galbi and candied lotus root, and takes me (on my trips to LA) to all the best soju bars and KBBQ joints in town. Its all you can eat (AYCE) Korean BBQ includes fresh pork belly and thinly shaved beef brisket (that cooks on the grill as fast as you lay it down), an assortment of banchan, warm steamed rice, hand-mixed condiments including (ssamjang & salted vinegar with sesame oil), fresh lettuce and julienned salad. Although I intended to plow through a couple platters of brisket and pork belly, my dining partner and I only made it through 1.5 rounds before throwing in the flag. The entire time, our super attentive and friendly server kept coming by to check in on us, turn our meat, and roll us three or five perfectly-seasoned lettuce wraps. Tip: If you're going to Four Plus 3 for the kbbq, wear a shirt that you don't mind imbuing with the smell of meat and oil. In fact, go out and get yourself a kbbq shirt now. Maru started offering Korean barbecue back in December 2014, but their service left a lot to be desired. Korean BBQ is labor-intensive for the server, as they have to monitor everything continuously and cut the food into bite-size pieces as they cook. Maru apparently didn't train its staff in the finer points, and left it to us to do the work. Real Korean BBQ is finally here thanks to Four Plus 3. The former Kabuki spot on West 11th is nicely redecorated and surprisingly big, over 100 seats. About half of the tables are set up with overhead ventilation and gas burners on the tables. You need to indicate whether you want BBQ or not when you are greeted, so they can seat you at the right type of table. They have other dishes as well, but BBQ is the big attraction. DLW and I checked it out for a Saturday dinner. The pork belly combo is their featured BBQ offering, so we took it. Yep, it's the real deal. We've eaten loads of this stuff at various spots around the country, and they do it right here. Included in the combo is tofu stew, banchan (small side dishes) and fried rice at the end. Four different marinades on the pork are given; I liked the hot and spicy one best. They put kimchi on the griddle along with garlic and onion, so you can include it in your lettuce wrap along with the pork. They also give you salted vinegar, ssamjang (bean paste) and gochujang (hot pepper paste) as condiments. It's times like this I'm sorry I only have one mouth, because I can't cram the flavors in there fast enough. The owner is a veteran of the Korean BBQ scene, and he knows the proper way to prepare and serve it. He also makes his own tofu, ssamjang and gochujang. If you're a newbie to the form, and a couple sitting next to us was, he is more than happy to offer instructions. We were so happy with our experience that we literally touted it to three people at Fred Meyer afterward. Too bad it's only open for dinner right now, or I'd lead a caravan on my co-workers there for lunch Monday. read more

My 4 year old son got his leg burned under the table. He was sitting in his booster next to me and all of the sudden he started saying mommy my leg hurts. He was in a lot of pain and crying and I ended up having to treat his burn right away at the restaurant. We had just started eating, but we were not hungry after. The waitress cooked the food anyway. This is my 1st time trying Korean bbq. We were served by Ashley. Ashley was very friendly and attentive, she explained the process of how to cook the foods and how the ordering went. We actually had a fun time grilling our own food. I know it sounds weird to enjoy making your own food when you go out but this experience was definitely one we would do again. The only reasons I gave 4 stars were because the price point is a bit spendy and there wasn't much of an option of vegetables for the grill. Friendly Korean family run restaurant. Prices a bit higher than Southern Cali but then it's Eugene with almost no competition. Ordered a-la carte since the all you can eat was only brisket and pork belly. Bulgogi was great, tongue was good, and chicken was OK. Sides were OK - not the best. Salad was great - nice mix of mints, lettuce, green onion tossed in a soy dressing. Service was much better than most Asian restaurants. I am a little torn. The food has opportunity to shine. The banchan is confusing on the "all you can eat" menu. I have been multiple times and have been told differing rules each time. From "as much banchan as you want" to "no more banchan for you!" to "$1.00 for each additional bowl". Also, I don't understand why you shouldn't be able to get a different type of meat than your previous 4 chosen meats after eating through all five. Why would you deny a guest the pleasure to trry everything on the menu in an all you can eat scenario??? I have also heard stories ( I know, it's his opinion but hearing what others have gone through I believe him ) of children accompanying adults who aren't eating all you can eat with their parents and ordering off menu are trying to charge additional even though they aren't eating or sharing from all you can eat? The service could use a change in attitude and execution. The food could really shine but some of the personalities on the floor are abrasive and weird. Love the kpop playing on the screens and I love one particular server who is super friendly and always nice (and is worth the automatically added tip). More warning could be served to patrons about this automatic tip too. It's kind of weird to just do that with out warning. More banchan and open up the meats and I'll come back!
