This is my favorite massage studio in Austin. All the therapists are wonderful at their practice and good people to boot. My favorites are Stan and Morgan. I was referred by a friend because he was tired of hearing me complain about a back injury from skiing. It had been bothering me for about 6 weeks and after one body work session, resolved. I now go for maintenance treatments and they keeping me aligned and able to maintain a pain free, active lifestyle. This is not a relaxing spa-like experience. I've been frequenting F+F since the very beginning and it has always been an amazing, therapeutic experience. I have been to a majority of the well known massage places in Austin and Melissa gives by far the best deep tissue sports massage I've ever had. When I had years of chronic shoulder pain and doctors and physical therapists could not figure it out, I almost resorted to surgery - all it took was some good deep tissue work from this gal. In addition to being an amazing therapist, she is also a delightful person who is truly engaged in what she does and passionate about wellness for every patient she sees. If you can't get an appointment with Melissa, I highly recommend any of her other highly skilled staff, especially HanChing Wu who also does a great job with deep tissue and is very friendly and professional. I was fortunate enough to experience a 2 hour session the studio owner Melissa. As a life long athlete I have experienced plenty of injuries and have had a tremendous amount of body work. The work she did on my neck (which has had pain due to whiplash from a car accident) was incredibly healing and has made a considerable difference. Not only did Melissa's competence as a NeuroMuscular Therapist live up to the reviews that brought me to this location but her staff was warm and welcoming and the facilities were spotless with a warm ambiance. Although my current work schedule has kept me from visiting this place more regularly, my previous two visits with Elijah were wonderful. He was very receptive to my concerns regarding my body's aches and pains during our initial consultation and he worked out knots that no previous massage therapist was able to. I also greatly appreciated the time he took to answer any silly questions I had and to walk me through what I needed to do post-massage. After both visits I walked out feeling centered and relaxed. Hubby and I came in for a massage when we were in town for a wedding. Such a great massage with Kenia Bradley (worked on me) and Rhys Holec (worked on my husband). They asked what specifically you wanted to work on/problem areas and they gave an outline of what they'd do to address the specific needs. My husband said that this was the first time he actually enjoyed and felt like he was receiving a productive massage (he's been to ones where they leave him bruised and others where it's too soft). So thank you Melissa for being so gracious and pleasant to work with! NOW, the massages.... wow just wow! My husband had a great massage but sadly he couldn't remember her name. I got a massage from Kenia and it was amazing! She made sure I was comfortable, the pressure was just right, and she had a winning personality. It was like I was getting a massage from an old friend, she was just amazing! I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful to have met such a sweet soul. My therapist was Carrie and she was incredibly skilled with a very diverse therapeutic background and it was evidenced in my results. Ive dealt with sciatica for almost 20 years and she stretched me in ways never before experienced that were instant relief. I had a 90 minute massage with Katie -- super easy online scheduling and can cancel/reschedule on your own as well. The space was very welcoming and quiet during the massage. I was having some specific points of tension and Katie listened to those and allotted the time for the massage accordingly. I could feel that the massage helped loosen up tight muscles immediately afterwards. The massage did not feel rushed and Katie was friendly and caring.
