I chose this place based on Yelp reviews, and I have to say, I'm glad I did. Dr Nguyen was very attentive and professional. He addressed all of my concerns and made sure I was comfortable with the lenses he thought were right for me. I tested a couple of lenses out, and he was patient with me through the process. Dr. Nguyen was so kind during my 3 year old's first eye exam. He was patient, encouraging and complimentary to her so she felt comfortable enough to answer all necessary questions. He also had cartoons to watch while the exam was taking place so that she hardly knew the exam was even happening. Dr. Peter Nguyen is awesome. read more

None of the opto offices I go to are EVER, in any way, conveniently located from where I work or where I live..I go because of service Eye Q Opto on Capital express way used to be very good..very friendly, but I noticed that they had just way too many customers and i feel they just want to get you in and out. They may seem patient when picking your glasses, but they definitely leave you strangling to help others that come in...It's fair..but it's not as good as it used to be the ONLY reason why I went to Focus Opto in N. Milipitas is because it was next to New Bambu..well since the owner there sold her store, I stopped going...anyway...to be fair, Focus Opto is nice and friendly, Dr.s are brilliant and know how to talk to you, but their reception desk is not the brightest. While the person helping me finally admitted she billed me incorrectly from my insurance, I was not happy for 2 reasons...1. I was sorta tricked into getting 2 exams because it "utilized my insurance" well, news flash..I had to pay more out of pocket..regardless..and 2. I CLEARLY worked for Johnson & Johnson, acuvue clearly states "Johnson & Johnson" but NONE of the receptionists were willing to help me figure out how to get my discount on my contacts okay...now is where i get to the point Foresight Opto to the rescue! I was super happy that Michelle, their current Office Manager, went out of her way to figure out all my insurance stuff for me. I didn't do a dam thing except provide her with my personal information. Got my contacts at a great price, no out of pocket money..therefore..I was not TRICKED into these other services & fees And of course Dr. Nguyen is very professional and open to listening..yep! I hate to whine about the details but I have spent way more time then needed to trying to figure out how to get our contacts and such ordered. Dr is AMAZING and I love his exam and the time spent with my honey and I. What i can't seem to figure out is how the office staff handles things. I have had to stop in several times, call, and finally get mad before the simplest question is answered. Hopefully they can get it together before our next yearly exam or I see it being time to find a new eye dr. read more

As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted, made comfortable, and taken care of. Dr. Ngyuen is Awesome and takes pride in what he does. You feel in good hands over there, and not rushed through feeling like another number. What i liked the most about Foresight Optometry is that they are honest people and will not sell you on a prescription if you do not need it. I have forgotten how long ago it has been since I transferred my eye care here, but it has to be a handful of years now and I have never looked back (or anywhere else for that matter!). Been coming here for five years now and always a pleasant appointment. He's always helpful and friendly and doesn't waste any time. My appointments last a maximum of 15 minutes, but they never feel rushed. My appointment and my wife's are always back to back so we always go to Five Guys and/or Krispy Kreme afterwards. read more

I visited Dr. Nguyen for my eye exam, and am glad I did. I recommend him to anyone. The Dr. took the time to answer my questions about reading glasses and pointed out the otc drugstore glasses are not the best because my vision in each eye is different, and the otc drugstore glasses are the same power in each eye. He snapped a couple of pics of the back of my eyes and later explained what he saw, nothing bad. And, we talked about eye drops. I have only been using eye drops a couple of times per day, but need to use them ....before...my eyes dry out...it is sort of like drinking water when it is hot, you need to drink water before you get dehydrated. I was recommended from a friend. So I went to check it out. The place looks nice and neat. Dr. Nguyen was great and answer all my questions. The front desk wasn't as friendly. When I walked she ran the program to see if I was in network with them. She had told me that we were so I decided to give them a shot. Then she explain what my cost was going to be and it sounded off because I had called my insurance 2 months ago to see what my coverage was. I didn't really pay much attention to it because I was in need on getting new glasses and also it was time to have my annual exam. The next day I called my insurance and and they had told me that no claimed has been file with them. They also had told me that we were not in network with them. She could of done a better research instead of having me call them. read more

Great experience. Came here for an eye injury not my regular optometrist so I was a little nervous about the level of care I would receive but Dr. Nguyen quickly relieved any concerns I had with his professionalism and patient care. I needed a few follow up appointments and Now I am actually establishing myself as a permanent patient of his. He listens to your concerns and is very thorough with his examination and explains everything so you can understand it. I feel safe knowing I can depend on him for any future urgent eye issues as well as routine exams. His office is conveniently located near a Target that has a pharmacy if you need to fill an RX and plenty of restaurants and shops too. I am a nurse and know how good patient care should be done and Dr. Nguyen gets it right! read more

I chose to go to this place because of good yelp reviews. I was disappointed by their lack of response and lack of straight answers. I went to the office on a Saturday, as I had broken my glasses and needed a quick repair or replacement. They took my broken glasses and said they would call me by Monday. I never heard from them till Wednesday and then I finally called them and went over to the office on Thursday. Dr Nguyen was there and he looked at the broken pair and said they could not be repaired. I had lost a whole week and now I was stuck with no new glasses or no repaired ones - there was no apology whatsoever for leaving me high and dry. I decided to try another optician the next day - and they offered to fix the glasses and make me new ones at a better cost and schedule. I now have a new pair and the old one all fixed up as a backup - go to Altos Optical in Los Altos for much better service and straight answers. read more

yep. i've found my eye guy! dr. peter nguyen is friendly, easy-going, knowledgeable and thorough. his staff is pleasant and so patient in helping me with finding my frames. she listened to what i was invisioning and had chosen many frames for me to look at. the office is neat, clean and comfortable, not crowded and cluttered. i had a very good experience overall and will be recommending Foresight to friends and family. the office is next door to Five Guys burger and Wing-Stop. good idea to come for lunch and get an exam all in one day! FYI: ask about the 50% off on all frames on your second pair. with that discount, i've decided to get another pair. read more

Excellent! The young man at the reception desk was courteous and very helpful. I was taken in by Dr. Nguyen within 5 minutes of my arrival. They respected my appointment time even when another customer walked in who was very late for her appointment. The Dr. was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I loved that they did not try to force me to buy glasses there even though I had an allowance through my insurance. The Dr. even suggested I buy my reading glasses in a 3 pack at a major store for less. I will be bringing the rest of my family here for our eye care needs. 1st class service! read more

Got some prescription regular glasses and sunglasses here a few months ago. Can't speak to their optometry service because I got my vision checked elsewhere. Very happy with the service. I didn't shop for prices because office hours and good service were more important to me (thank you, HSA!) and they stay open late one weeknight and Saturday mornings. My first experience was so good, I came back and got new lenses for an old frame, too, so I now have a spare. read more
