Over and above service from Dr. Nguyen, hands down. We were faced with an accident with our 7 year old that brought us to call upon Dr. Nguyen for an emergency. He took a caring approach on a very stressful incident, especially when your son is screaming that he is blind. He immediately took it upon himself to make sure my son was taken cared of, no retina tear and confirmed injury of which, Dr. Nguyen recommended a Retina specialist, that handled the future proceedings of care. If it wasn't for the Drs' caring nature, his willingness to help and his expertise...we may have had a different outcome. Our son's vision has come back and he is on the road to a full recovery. I am so fortunate that I live super close to Foresight Optometry. It is such a convenient location for me. I recently started coming to Dr. Nguyen a year ago and I have been pleased with all my visits. He really talks you through the eye appointment process so thoroughly that you won't have any questions at the end because he probably answered all of them already. He is just a friendly guy overall! The staff is really helpful as well. I always come here for my contacts. I was telling a girl who worked at the front desk how I desperately needed to get a new set since I only had one contact left (I don't know how that happened!). Without me having to ask her, she offered to give me an extra contact so I wouldn't end up with another odd number of contacts with my new box. How thoughtful! Nice place. I used to get my contacts at costco for the longest time. I hated the lines at costco optometry. This is a pretty cool place cause they take the time to actually help you and pick out some nice pair of glasses. I mainly went here for an exam and to order more contacts. Customer service was excellent and a big plus? My contacts come in a whole lot quicker than costco's 1 week. Definitely will be coming here to get my contacts. Optometrist Nguyen was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I love going to places that don't make you wait. My previous optometry place overbooked and I would end up waiting an extra hour because they were running behind schedule. I really dislike places like that so I was on a search for a new Optometry place. Long behold - My husband and I are walking our shih tzu to the plant to have starbucks (we always go every weekend when it's not raining) - Foresight Optometry! I didn't realize that they have been open for 8 years! This whole time I was driving out of the way or having to wait a really long time to see the optometry. All of the 5 star reviews LIE! (Kidding.) -- If you look at my other reviews, you'll notice that it's quite rare for me to hand out 5 stars. I like to keep them in my safe box for businesses that actually deserve them. But I deviate. I *had eye problems like no tomorrow and have been to numerous, I repeat numerous eye professionals around the bay area. I needed to find an optometrist that actually treated me like a human being and not just "sheep" flocking in and out. I found it odd that they were situated by a bunch of restaurants but either way, this is a great / courteous place. Any eye problems / concerns / questions I had, I felt at ease speaking to Dr. Nguyen (and I'm not the type to shy away from asking anything). Not the cheapest nor most expensive place for eye care but it is precisely what I've been looking for. Competence and courteousness. I made an appointment with Foresight Optometry because my regular Optometrist was on vacation, I needed new glasses stat, and it's conveniently located where I pass on my way home from work. First impression coming in: the place is very clean and modern. The receptionists are very friendly and effiecent. I love that they greet you right away when you walk in and get you started on your appointment. No unnecessary wait time. The Optometrist is really nice and very knowledgable. He was on point but does not make you feel rushed. Reason for 4/5 stars: Unlike my regular optometry which have tons and tons of frames to choose from, I feel like there is very limited choices of frame here. Lucky of me, it just so happened that I knew the specific frame I wanted and they actually had it. What I also found weird was they charged me copay for the glasses purchase (on top of the with the cost of the lens and frames and the exam copay). For years at my regular optometry, I only paid copay for the exam and was never told to pay a copay for the glasses. Probably they included the co-pay in the cost and not mention it to me? I don't know. When I asked the receptionist at Foresight about it, he said it was part of my insurance. I still thought it was weird, but I really needed the glasses . . . . so I went ahead with the purchase. The glasses came in two weeks. I like that they include a spray bottle of lens cleaner! The lens prescription is good . . . . no need for readjustment. I can finally see well when I'm driving at night. It's been about two months now and so far, the lens and frame are holding up well. I would definitely come back for my eye exam but for frame purchase . . . . I think I might head back to my regular optometry where I have more choices. I remember coming here a few years ago for my eye exam back when he first opened his practice. Since then I've moved on because of insurance changes but I won't forget Dr. Nguyen's friendly demeanor. My exam was straightforward, in and out, no upselling or any fishy undertakings at this office. The person that was staffing the front desk was also friendly and helpful. Been going here for a few years now. I love it! They are friendly, professional, and timely. I bring my son and daughter here as well. My son wears glasses. They have a great selection to choose from and the receptionist is awesome at letting us know what our insurance covers and what our out of pocket expenses would be. I am updating my review AGAIN. Dr Nguyen really came through with our issues getting things ordered and set straight for my bfs glasses and contacts. They followed up and took care of us right away with no issues and it seems that the one person that was the issue at this location is now gone. I know that Dr Nguyen really cares about his customers because he did not have to personally respond to me via email when I contacted them about my issues, and he did not HAVE to address them directly either. The office was nice and clean and all their equipment looks modern and up to date. I had a few things done at Foresight, that I never experienced at other offices.Dr. Nguyen even took my contacts out and put them back in for me. I've never experienced that, I've always had to do it myself. It was a nice touch. Dr. Nguyen was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining things to me, I never felt rushed or like a number. Another HUGE plus, they use a different machine to test your eye pressure, so no blowing air into your eye, which everyone hates! Yesterday 07 - 24 19 was indeed an unfortunate day. I have chosen that word which also happened to be the recurring answer from the receptionist. After visiting Dr Nguyen's office on several occasions since at least 2013 including providing two new patients to his office and the receipt of at least three pairs of glasses from his office, this is the first unfortunate encounter involving Dr. Nguyen's office. The receptionist was more interested in her phone than my medical needs and more interested in her sippy cup than she was in providing me with an appointment card. The second woman at the desk was even less helpful. I will keep my appointment for August 06 2019 and I will also keep Yelp posted! read more

Love this place. The Dr. is super nice and so is everyone else who works there. I've gotten my glasses and sunglasses here. Both look fantastic. My sister even came here after I told her about it. They have the best selection of glasses. Burberry, Gucci, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Chloe, and sooo much more. They are one of the very few places that carry Chanel glasses and sunglasses. I have my eye on a pair of Chanel sunglasses too. They are very knowledgeable of all the glasses they carry. I HIGHLY suggest this place. I've been visually impaired for about 20 years now. So that kinda makes me an expert on visiting optometrists. I can't say enough wonderful things about Foresight Optometry. From the moment you walk in (fresh and clean decor), to checking in, and seeing the Dr., and leaving, the experience is second to none. I know that these days, most people are looking for a deal and sometimes with that I find that I lose value. I found that not only are the prices comparable to those of places like - dare I say, Costco or Walmart, but you receive VALUE. The value is the care and quality of service you receive from the staff and the doctor. I came in for an appointment which happened to be scheduled the day before and I was scheduled to be the last patient of the day. I promptly checked in and was seen within 5-10 minutes. I didn't feel rushed to leave and all my questions and concerns were not only answered but the Dr. also communicated everything very clearly and thoroughly. I had been looking for an optometrist who took my insurance and who could see me pretty soon because of suspected eye damage. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and up-to-date the place was. Dr. Nguyen did a thorough eye wellness exam, patiently explained what he was doing and reassured me that my fears of eye damage were unfounded. I mentioned that I had an appointment with an ophthalmologist immediately after the one with Foresight and he told me that I did not need it because he had done everything that they would have done, given the health of my eyes, and that if he had seen anything to be concerned about, he would have referred me to one. So I canceled my ophthalmologist appointment and they were gracious enough to accept the cancellation. I also appreciate the fact that they did not try to sell me anything I did not need. And in that regard, what some might have perceived as a 'hands-off' receptionist, I viewed as someone giving me my space! Dr. Peter Nguyen is a saint! I went to see him recently and I can honestly say that I've never had an optometrist who took care of my eyes like he did. I wear contacts and have a really strong prescription with astigmatism in both eyes. Before I came here my eyes were at its worst. With my contacts on I'd still have to squint to see things and at night I felt like I was blind as a bat! But Dr. Nguyen was able to help me figure out what the problem was and thoroughly explained everything I needed to know and what to do to better care for my eyes. A couple of appointments/follow ups later I have a new prescription/new contacts and I can see clearly again! It's like everything is in HD! After reading some of the reviews about the receptionist being not so cordial i was a bit skeptical. But when i entered and spoke to the receptionist all my skepticism went away. I guess they must have replaced the person after those reviews! Overall i had a really good experience. The receptionist was super sweet and easy to talk to. Dr Nguyen was really nice. I had called before to get an estimate of the charges cause I only needed to get lense fitting done. Most places I called were not accepting my old prescription and were charging for the whole exam. Since I had not bought eye insurance this year so cost was a main concern for me. Dr Nguyen charges are very reasonable. Even lower that what Walmart quoted me. For the exam, the wait time was minimal! He took me in for the exam in less than 5 mins. I also asked him alot of questions about lenses and he patiently answered all of them, which was very sweet of him. He gave me two different types of lenses to test out and see which one suits me best. I have a follow up appointment with him for the fittings.
