I enjoyed speaking with the staff and doctor. I even got free contact solutions when I picked up my contacts. Usually most offices don't do that but they were really nice. I took my 93 year old mom to Eye Q for new glasses, and the staff was very kind and accommodating with her limitations. (About a year ago, I took her to a different place, and they didn't understand that some elderly people lack the stamina and need for extensive tests, and they were impatient and annoyed. I suspect they only cared about being able to bill her insurance for a bunch of tests.) The staff at Eye Q did what was necessary for them to determine the best prescription for new glasses. They had a large selection of frames to choose from, in a wide variety of price ranges. Something for everyone. The woman who helped my mom select frames was super patient and helpful. The new glasses arrived much quicker than expected, fit perfectly, and my mom can see better. An all around win! read more

Called the office in order to get my previous glasses prescription and was abruptly/rudely told no due to them being expired. Not sure what the policy is but I should have the right to my old glasses prescription numbers especially after paying hundreds of dollars for the test. I acknowledge the prescription was multiple years prior and was expired, but I just wanted the number in order to compare to current and to also track progression. I didn't even ask to buy new glasses, contacts or use the old prescription for anything. The man who picked up the phone call was very short with me from the start/kept repeating its expired in an agitated tone. He hung up the phone call as I was saying "thank you anyways". Highly recommend all to not go to this location and just go any Costco optometry instead for much more streamline and higher standard of care/customer service read more

I went to see this Dr. MINHNHAT LE over ear ago. I paid out of pocket for an eye exam. Come to find out months later, while trying to get another eye exAm i find out he used my VSP insurance for the exam, I didn't even know I had VSP! I paid out of pocket!. I've been a patient of Dr. Le for the last few years and I keep coming back for the amiable service and wide selection of frames. Dr. Le is friendly but not too chatty. His staff is approachable and knowledgeable. The office is spacious with plenty of waiting room and bright cases of glasses to browse. They do get pretty packed sometimes though. On one occasion, I brought in a pair of glasses that I did not purchase at Eye Q, to ask if Dr. Le would be able to fix it. I had bent the metal frame a bit and was unsure if it could be bent back, but Dr. Le quickly and easily fixed it with no hesitation. Super awesome, thanks Dr.! A bit far from me but considering my friend's recommendation I went. Nice office and impressed with the latest equipment. Staff was friendly and inviting from first walking in. Had an easy well explained eye exam and thankfully didn't have to get my eyes dilated. Sat down and patiently allowed me to choose frames which I'm glad I didn't feel rushed or upselling me "expensive designer" frames . Staff were super friendly and helpful. I was able to walk in and get an appointment to see the OD the same day for eye exam. If you have VSP eye insurance, I recommend this place over LensCrafters. They have a tiny selection of medi-cal frames. The optometrist insists eye dilation and retinal scan is a required, not optional part of an eye exam, or an upgrade fee for a non-dilation retinal scan. For a person greatly affected by eye-dilation chemicals this is a non-starter. Clean place, sure, but they are rigid and inflexible vs. customer centric. Not what I expect from a business I would trust with my eyes or eyes of my loved ones. Go elsewhere for better service and selection, you'll be glad you did. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Le's for a very long time. I think 10+ years when I used to live in the evergreen area. I have moved twice since then and still continue to go to see Dr. Le. He is a no fuss doctor and always on time for appointments. I only purchase contacts here. They seem to be cheaper than most places and ships free to my house. Glasses I always got online but he has been very nice with providing signed paperwork (even when I forget to ask) so I can purchase RX lenses/frames at various retail stores. read more

When I came in, they didn't ask me if I needed help or if I needed anything. They stared at me and so I had to tell them about my appointment but at first they didn't help me effectively. After, they told me I was late to my appointment but at first I understand that I was late but they didn't have to scold me for it. My appointment window should have been long enough to the point where I could be late and still do my appointment. They also were rude and gave me an unwelcoming attitude just because I didn't have the most expensive insurance. They all were rude and mean. They were nice to others but to me, they were cold and didn't make me feel wanted there. I understand you don't have to be all sunshine and rainbows to me, however the least you could do is give me the bare minimum and not make me feel uncomfortable. read more

They're open for Covid-19. Upon entering, face masks are required. When entering, they ask you to wash your hands first then they take your temperature. I've been coming here for years since I switched from my old optometrist since they kept overcharging me for everything. Every staff member I've encountered is super nice and helpful. The eye exam itself is pretty quick as well and the doctor is very thorough when he explains to me if either my vision is the same or got worse. Clean interior and spacious parking lot. read more

I've been going to Eye Q Optometry for the past 12 years, possibly longer--prior to Dr. Minh taking over this office and this is still the best provider in town. Dr. Minh and his staff are knowledgeable, personable and very efficient. There's always a large, updated selection of glasses ranging from knock offs to name brands. And the no name ones are just as cute! (They aren't displayed so you'll have to ask to see them.) As mentioned, their scheduling is very efficient. I was a little leery seeing that there seemed to be a large crowd in their waiting/sitting area. I am on a time crunch these days between my 4 year old tot and newborn and from the time I was seen to picking out my glasses and all it's options and upgrades, I was out the door in less than an hour. Bad customer service. My niece had an appointment with him to check her eyes. Doctor saw customers buying expensive glasses behind us, so he wanted us to leave as soon as possible. He rushed his assistant to quickly check my niece's eyes and asked my niece rudely what is this, what is that. This place is like my eye-glasses savior! They have great pricing on designer glasses frames that are at least $30-$100 cheaper than other places and if you want a frame they don't have, they will order! I've yet to hear of a place that does ordering since when I got my glasses I called around to over 10 places to try to find the frames I wanted. They have great service otherwise and are very reasonably priced for eye check-ups although I've never gotten one there. Overall highly recommended. read more

I have been coming to this place for nearly 4 years now and Infact was recommended for Lasik by this place which I don't regret at all and was probably the best decision ever! They have quite trendy eyeglasses but since I got Lasik I still come here for regular eye check up and have started buying sunglasses instead of eye glasses. They really have a great Chanel collection! The customer service is great! I always come across the sweetest people there who are really helpful and go above and beyond to help. Poor service, bad doctor. Avoid at all cost especially if you are paying through insurance. Dr. did not do a great job with eye checkup - he barely checked my eyes and gave me a wrong number just based on the specs I was wearing. I asked him several times before leaving office to confirm if the number he is giving me is correct as it was fairly different than current and he barely checked my eyes, and he kept insisting it is. I kept using my old specs for some time and then when I finally made specs based on new number it was all wrong. I called the Dr again got second check up and they told me I will have to pay again as it has been more than 3 months. They wouldn't listen to me or do another exam without payment. I only get one check up through my insurance and now I am stuck. Either wait few months or pay the money!! read more

Do not recommend going here if you wanted to get frames. Eye exam went well and was told they can order any brand they hold if I give them the model number. I called back today with and spoke to a young lady that i assume work the front desk. I provided the Maui Jim model number, and Sunglasses Hut and Maui Jim site price these at $249.99, and the lady told me the total they'd get it for me is $650. I asked how come it's almost triple the price, and she said that's the discounted price they get it for, but if I use my insurance, I get $150 off + 20% discount, which came out to something like $350-400. She asked the obvious question if I wanted to buy it for $350 despite having told her it's $250 at Maui Jim / sunglasses hut :|. I asked if she can confirm these prices are correct and if she has the right information because $650 doesn't sound right. She put me on hold and came back with, "you can buy it with insurance or not with insurance, i have customers here so i have to go." It's not a big deal, I just found another place that does have those sunglasses for the actual same price so i can use my insurance. The place is ClearSight optometry on Blossom Hill and they have good service. It's become a hassle because I have to get my vision insurance unlocked from this place because they pulled my file, which will take a few days. Prices are jacked up here, and customer service is hilarious. read more

I've been a patient/customer here for at least six years, and I used to love the service I received here for my eye care. However, my recent customer care experiences and the UNSANITARY COVID-19 CONDITIONS completely changed my opinion of this establishment. A little background on myself to understand where I'm coming from. I'm a healthcare provider, and I've helped my hospital administrators in creating drug treatment plans and steps for further prevention from COVID, so you can say I at least know how to stay safe during this pandemic. Anyway, throughout my interactions with the receptionists, specifically an older Asian lady, and the doctor, they were very rude to me and to another patient, treating us as if we were very unhygienic. For example, the doctor screamed at the other patient for being too close to the receptionists, but if he truly cared for their safety, he would have installed plexi-glass around their area to avoid their exposure like many other businesses have already done. Towards me, the older Asian receptionist tried to educate me on cleanliness even though I was already wearing my mask before stepping into the establishment, already had washed my hands in front of them, and already had my temperature checked. My BIGGEST CONCERN was that they never seemed to sanitize the equipment after another patient had already used it. Prior to the pandemic, the staff would clean the machines with rubbing alcohol in front of me, or the doctor would spray IPA on the examining chair before I stepped into the room, but this was the one appointment I NEVER saw any of that cleaning happen when it counts the most! Perhaps I didn't see it, but I would expect to have noticed something if I've seen the cleaning happen at all my other appointments. It is true that it is more difficult to get cleaning supplies, but medical offices and hospitals tend to have more resources to obtain those supplies or have a big stock of them compared to the average person, so supply shortage is not a good excuse either. Finally, even though they expected me to wash my hands, I never saw employees wash their hands before or after working with a patient in the 3 times I've visited the office in the past 2 weeks, so how can I guarantee that the health service I received was sanitary as well? read more

Had a really bad experience with this doctor. Took my son there for an eye exam and glasses. After a few months, I noticed my son was getting a little crossed eyed. Then I took him to a specialist , who said the glasses were the problem. Then I went back a few days ago, to tell the doctors if my concerns. He then looked at my son again, and now his prescription is off by over 1 degree. Then blames me and tell me my son was crossed eyed from get go, without ever noting it. Then wants me to pay my deductible, when he clearly gotten my son's wrong the first time. Then when u complained, he just brushed me off and tells me to go find another provider. Some doctors really care about their patients and others seem to only care about money. Sadly this doctor is only about the $$$. read more
