I'm a new customer here and I only started coming here because I shop at most of the stores in this plaza(Gould Plaza) sadly I've decided to no longer give them my business. The lady Doctor who did my eye exam was super nice. The rest of the staff however needs lots of work in the service department. They are cold and unfriendly and downright neglectful. The first time I picked up a pair of glasses, the clerk simply put them on the counter and went back to her station. No "thanks" or "how do they fit" or anything. Most other Optometrists I've been too, take out the time to sit you down and have you try them out to make sure everything is ok. The second time I picked up glasses, the staff was once again unfriendly. Once again they place my glasses on the counter but this time without even it's protective Case. When I asked for the case, they gave me the wrong one. Way to small. They didn't even care to make sure it fit. I've had enough. There's so many Optometrist out there, lots of competition. I'm also wondering if my ethnicity is the reason they are this way. They seem to only hire Asian people and most of the patrons are Asian. I hope this isn't a Discrimination issue against non Asian people. read more

Went in to pick up my daughters glasses and the receptionist in the front was extremely rude just like the very first visit. Came in just to pick up waited in line quietly to be ignored then a man comes in she greets him but couldn't even give me some kind of acknowledgment. When she decided to she said "Do you need help or no?" I let her know "of course I do I'm picking up" she proceeds to just point not speak to me at all and continues to speak to the patient behind me in Vietnamese. Didn't appreciate being ignored or The attitude she gave off. She made it very clear she did not want to help me! Thanks for the experience, will not be returning! read more

I have been going here for years, and while the staff may have changed ever slightly over the years, they have always been patient, knowledgeable, and very attentive with me. I KNOW I have a procrastination problem... so when they can get me in for an appointment last minute that is a HELL YES from me. FRAMES -- It has been easy to get my frames adjusted, so any issues I have had are usually resolved in good time. I always bring my own frame, but it looks like they do have a wide selection of their own! Although, I haven't given it a closer look yet. DOCTORS -- I have had both doctors in this practice, both are friendly and answer your questions well, cannot recommend one over another! COVID STUFF -- They have a mini station set up at the front. A giant hand sanitizer bottle, lots of signs at the door, and a barrier for the receptionist desk. Eye exam equipment is also sanitized after each patient is done. This place is a scam! First things first: their front desk staff does not answer the phone. If you want to make an appointment or have any contact with staff, walk in is the best. This place is close to where I lived so I ignored that they made a horrible first impression and I scheduled an eye exam appt with Dr. Bui. The visit itself seemed fine despite witnessing staff ignore phone calls while I was there. After the exam, no one assisted me with my glasses selection. I found and bought 2 pairs: one for long distance and another as computer glasses. They informed me that my glasses should arrive 2-3 weeks. I had waited over 3 weeks for a call and they did not notify me that my glasses arrived until after I called them and left a voice message following up. They notified me within 10 minutes that my glasses arrived... it made me wonder if my glasses were just sitting there the whole week or two, with no one doing their job and contacting me. When I went to pick them up, I felt rushed; they didn't want to see how they fit or if I was satisfied. I soon found out that the pair for long distance was too strong - it completely warped my sense of space and made me dizzy. And my second pair were not computer glasses but for long distance. I didn't know until recently that those glasses were the exact same prescription of the old glasses I wanted to replace, assuming my prescription changed. I wouldn't have bought new glasses if my eyes didn't change prescription, but Dr. Bui wasn't transparent with me at all and allowed me to spend the money when I didn't need to. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

Dr. Khanh Bui was very professional and I had no issues with the eye exam. But in selecting glasses, I received almost no help whatsoever. No one sat down with me discussing what I was looking for or showed me catalogs with different options for the different frames. Basically what is on display is all that is offered (to be fair, they did have a decent selection on display). Also, when I picked up my frames, there was no adjustment of the nosepads or frames behind the ears with special tools, no fit checks, and no checks to see if the adjustments affected the distance between my eyes and the lenses. I was just handed the pair of glasses as is and left to do all adjustments by myself at home with no tools. In short, I paid a lot of money for very ill-fitting frames. I've received much better service at several other places, so I would definitely say that the service here is very sub-par. I would not recommend this place for anything other than just the eye exam. read more

Called here for an emergency check up for Momma since I suspected that the vein in her right eye popped. The girl that answered my phone tried her best to squeeze Momma in for an 11:30a slot. We arrived and waited for over an hour; I'm totally fine with it and appreciated that they let Momma in for check up. The office is clean and have many frames to choose from. The Dr. seems very nice and friendly. The in only area to improve is that the assistances should have smile when greet the customers. read more

Dr. Khanh Bui is a great doctor. Fluent in English of course. He's very nice and friendly. Every time I come in for my eye exam, he makes sure to take his time during the examination. He explains step-by-step what he is doing and always gives me lots of tips on how to keep my eyes well. He provides me with a lot of options when it comes to my decision of contacts (day vs month, color vs clear, type of degree on them). The front staff ladies have always been nice to me, even on the phone when taking my appointment, I've never had a problem with any of the staff. In fact, they always try their best to speak clearly to me in English, even though I can tell it's not their first language. Note: I never knew I needed two different fittings if I wanted clear vs colored contacts. Make sure to specify that if that's what you're interested in. It would take twice as much time. read more

The receptionists working here are so kind, knowledgeable and detail-oriented. When I come in, I always see their bright, beautiful smiles. The wait isn't too long and they have some magazines to read while you wait. This place also has a lot of different brands (nike, kate spade, lacoste) for lenses and many different varieties. In addition, the optometrists working here are very friendly and patient. Only con is that parking here can get really crazy, but I'll be back here. read more

Covid-19 PREPARED!!! If you're like me and haven't forgotten that the virus is still out there, you would appreciate businesses that take serious precautions and maintain a safe environment for their patients. When you first walk in, you will have access to their hand sanitizer (a must have for every business but surprisingly some don't provide). Their entire counter is covered with plexiglass. An employee will take your temperature and ask you a few questions regarding your health and contact with others to ensure you are ready to proceed. There is a sink with soap that you are welcome to use and sanitizers everywhere. Everyone wears a mask. Even during my eye exam, I noticed a mini plexiglass on the machine to protect me and the doctor. I never noticed that before but thought that was quite clever. When patients try on eyeglasses, they are told to place them in a separate box for disinfecting afterwards. I am one of those people who really appreciate a business that is caring and considerate of their patients. I try to avoid businesses that don't follow protocols or take this pandemic seriously. I started going to Envision a few years ago after a recommendation from a friend. Their place was recently remodeled and is a nice, cozy environment for an eye check-up. The staff there is also very friendly and efficient. Each time I go there, one of the girls will perform a preliminary eye check before I meet with the optometrist, Dr. Vu. Luckily I still don't need glasses yet, but my wife does wear glasses and Envision has a large selection of designer eye wear to choose from. read more

After hopping around to various optometry offices the past few years, I've finally stumbled upon a place that actually knows what they are doing. Envision Optometry is my new place to get my eyes examined and frames ordered. The staff at Envision was very helpful in assisting me during my visit. I just started at a new company so I wasn't sure about my insurance coverage but the staff was more than happy to look it up for me on the spot. After explaining the coverage to me, I went on to have my eyes examined. Dr. Vu was very professional and knowledgeable. I was surprised that he did not have a heavy Vietnamese accent (my previous optometrists were located in the same area and all had strong incomprehensible accents). This was a huge plus. It totally made the visit smooth as I was able to get in and out with my eye exam in a very timely fashion with all my questions answered. As far as the location is concerned, it is very convenient as it is right off the 101. The facility seems to be newly remodeled, probably within the last year, because it was very clean and updated. The selection of frames were decent. I wasn't able to find the specific frame I wanted but they were able to order it for me and it came within 3 days! That's what I call service!! All in all, it was a good visit and I have definitely found myself a new optometry office. read more

Dr. Mai was such a good optometrist, she was very friendly through my eye exam. She also explains in details about how my eyes are in both English and Viet for me n my mom to understand. I always go to LensCrafters and they are expensive and Im still paying the charges I made 3 years ago! Then I found this place. At first I was hesitant cause it looks like a small place located in an ok neighborhood. When I tried them, wow I was amazed. The glasses that usually other places will charged me like $ 300 to $ 400 dollars only costs me $ 90.00 and they accepted my VSP insurance right away. Im planning to come here from now on every year. Optometrists are excellent, but the sales team is a bit shady. The sales manager, who I suspect to be the actual store owner, doesn't care about quality customer service; she only cares about making the most money from you. If you have eye insurance, an eye exam is cover but you have to pay $25 co-pay. If you want a prescription, you have to pay an additional $70. What a rip off. I went to get my old frames adjusted to fit my face better. The sales manager placed my glasses in warmer too long and ruin my lenses. The heat from the warmer cracked the anti-glare coating on my lenses. I kindly asked for a replacement. She aggressively refused. What a sham! Don't go here. It's not worth it. The selection is slim, old and grossly overpriced. The sales manager is a total douche! read more

A decent place for you to get your eye exams if needed. We needed an emergency eye exam and since a lot of places require pre-booking for their exams we couldn't get it done with our optometrist. I called around and finally landed here. They were able to fit us in a 40 minutes time slot (not sure if it's because they are nice, or it's because they don't have enough business). The appointment was good and we got things taken care of in a timely matter, but definitely did not like one of the older receptionist there. She was definitely on the rude side. read more

I usually don't give reviews, but for this place I just had to because the service really pissed me off. The receptionist is rude and seems confused all the time. I saw a bucket that was labeled "Finished Glasses" behind the front desk. The receptionist was working on a pair of glasses, and when I came in, she carelessly threw the pair of glasses into the finished bucket. I have never seen an employee handle their merchandise so unprofessionaly. My mom and I requested to see the doctor to discuss my mom's previous eye exam because we needed referral papers to see a different eye doctor who specializes in eye surgery. When the doctor came out, he was absolutely rude and had a complete temper. My mom explained to him why she needed the papers. He yelled at her that he didn't understand what she wanted, and just told her to take a new eye exam without listening to her. Then, he sent her away. When I saw him treat her so badly, I got really mad. My mom's eyes have been hurting really badly for a while, but when she told him, he seemed to not care. When I requested the documents to leave, he went inside and he didn't even reply. The doctor has major temper issues, doesn't care about his patients, and all he wants to do is make you take more eye exams. Don't go to this place unless you want bad service. There are many other better places that you can go to. read more
