Review is long overdue. Did a fairly extensive and quite expensive residential remodeling and painting project with Rick and his crew. Including kitchen reno, bathroom remodel, laundry room remodel, millwork, wet bar reno, plumbing, electrical, lots of painting and more. They never completed our job. They promised over and over to return to finish painting, fixing issues with grouting and much more. Despite Rick setting numerous dates to come back, then canceling, they never returned. His subs permanently damaged marble slabs that were installed in our bathroom shower. One of his subs threw a temper tantrum and put holes the marble mosaic floor when he dropped tools. The workmanship with respect to tiling and grouting was very poor, we found many places they missed. They also installed our toilet so badly that you cannot shut off the water at the bottom. The pedestal sink they installed has millwork behind it, the plumbing connections were never put together properly. They left behind materials that they never came to pickup. I paid for services we never received. These pics are just from the bathroom. Unlike the marble, most issues we had could have easily been fixed, but Rick chose not to. I can guarantee if he hadn't been paid in full, he would have returned. Unfortunately, he had a complete lack integrity to complete the job and correct his mistakes. read more

Over the course of our home ownership lives, we've worked with some bad contractors who let us down time after time. Rick Forehan has never let us down. He's responsive, thorough, personable, makes sure the job is done right; and all of his employees are the same. We were put in a very bad spot due to a series of bad contractors prior to Rick. Rick came in and saved the day. He dealt with the city, architect, and our regularly changing minds. We will use Rick and his team again, and recommend him to anyone who needs a reliable contractor. His quote may be a bit higher than other contractors you can find, but he's worth it. Save yourself the headache and go with Forehan Construction. read more

Rick literally changed our lives. My wife + I were referred to Forehan Construction through a friend & it has been the most fortuitous introduction of our year. Rick's team knocked out a very busy month of renovations for our new home, completed on time + on budget, and was a great resource throughout the process. We've all heard horror stories of what home renovations can turn into - not with Mr. Forehan and crew. We will continue to use Forehan Construction for any & all work on our current home & any future residences. Highly recommend. read more

Wondering if this company is still in business or accepting new customers. Seems like I'm not the only one having trouble getting a hold of them. Called the number on yelp, as well as the one on their website. Also sent a message through the website. Nothing. Super disappointing because their style is exactly what I'm looking for. read more

Since the very first day Rick came to the house to give a quote for a two stage remodel, I immediately knew this man would be our contractor -I must mention that I have worked with many as I used to flip to houses and that is why, although budget matters, it's the contractor and his team that make the whole experience a bearable and fun one or the complete opposite-. Every single person that walked into my home that works for/with him, was happy, respectful and most importantly, passionate about what they were doing! Everything from laying down the deck to electrical installation (which was also done impeccably, I must add). And since this renovation is the home I am actually living in, and I am very creative, I asked for ideas and changes here and there and the response was never "no" or "that's not possible" (maybe sometimes, "that's a great idea, but it's waaaay out of the budget" which I'm grateful for lol) but even the team was always willing to help and to create and to innovate! I have been around construction for many years, and it's almost impossible for every detail to fit to an estimated time frame when you are renovating (since you don't know what can come up or what you might add on), but Rick has a calm demeanor about him that actually calms you down too and even when he has other projects, you can trust that he will be there until the very end to assure you are happy and will always respond, even after the project is complete. The bottom line is that when it comes to construction, it's all about the team and I have never met one as amazing as Forehan Construction. I do, of course, highly recommend them, and I personally, would never consider building from scratch or renovating another property without them! read more

I cannot believe that I never updated our remodel! Forehan Construction once again exceeded our expectations and finished our gut and remodel to our 2000 SF home and added 1300 SF in 6 months time while we were able to live there! Their work is high quality and beautiful. The crew is like family. I am not only grateful to have found a contractor but also someone I consider a great friend! read more

Forehan Construction - closet remodel built new wall and created new doorway to access a full walk-in closet - General Contractors Near Me

Based on the reviews and other research, we decided to give Forehan Construction a call for multiple projects including 2 bathrooms, turning the back garage into usable space, new flooring, and other work. First call on a weekday, no answer. We made a second call later that same day and left a voice mail. It's been nearly 2 weeks and have not received a return call from them. Based on the photos, their quality of work looks very nice and we were hoping to talk with them. Unfortunately their customer service is lacking. Perhaps they don't need the work, or don't have time, or have a number of reasons why they didn't get back to us, but a return call would have been more professional than no call at all. They have a pretty website, but it won't help if they don't get back to potential clients. read more

We hired Forehan for a major remodel in 2017-2018 where we took our home down to the studs, new plumbing, wiring, interior walls, it was basically a brand new home. From beginning to end, Rick and his team went above and beyond. Many of my other friends were doing similar remodels at the same time and were stressed out and had huge issues with their GCs...Our experience was stellar. Rick is just a pleasant person and his subs are great. I would hands down recommend Forehan for large scale remodels. read more

This is a lot of Edits but they did call back on 09/10/18 to say they were swamped with work until March of 2019. So, if it's after March 2019 consider giving them a call. Edit to my edit- on 09/04/18 on 09/07/18. I called the 714-602-7511 number and left a message. I gave my phone number including area code, my name, and letting them know I wanted to remodel my master bedroom and bathroom. I thought things can happen in business so lets give them a try. As of 09/06/18 no call back (I didnt count today because it's 7 am. Like my previous review said I cant say good or bad on their work but you have to wonder how follow up will go if you use them. Edit- Nice to see follow up. 09/04/18- I'd give that 3 stars. Called the 714-602-7511 number. The message said "mailbox full". Cant say anything good or bad. If you call and get the same message I would wonder how well they will communicate with you. read more

The best of the best. Rick and his team took my 60 year old kitchen and made it modern and beautiful. Every person he employs is professional, friendly, patient, trustworthy, and treats your home with respect. They arrived on time, stayed as long as was necessary to do what I needed, and did the quality of work you would expect them to do in their own homes. What a pleasure. Rick is always available to discuss questions, help with suggestions for your space, or give you guidance throughout the project. I actually looked forward to seeing the entire Forehan Construction team every day! I have recommended Rick to family, and will continue to do so. read more

Rick and his team remodeled my kitchen superbly. I found their efficiency, communication and execution of the original bid to be outstanding. After discovering a leak, they informed me of the issue and made making changes to the bid comfortable and understandable. They offer excellent pricing and service and do what they say they'll do. I trust Forehan Construction. read more

Rick's team installed a telescoping down draft system in the kitchen and a external blower. The price was fair as it matched other bids, however we went with Rick as he indicated that he would install it the way he would do it for his home. The work was great and unlike my previous contractor, they were here 8-10 hours a day to get it done in a timely manner. The work was nicely done and very clean. I definitely recommend Forehan Construction. read more

Rick and his team at Forehan Construction are great. He is a man of his word and if he says a job will be done Tuesday, it is done Tuesday. His team comes in, takes care of business, and gets out of your way, leaving you with a great and finished result. Forehan Construction does not cut corners, which was exemplified when one of their employees inspected every single outlet in our home - fixing things along the way - to find and fix the one that was faulty, which could have later caused a fire in our home. We are so thankful to have such a great team to call. We will definitely be calling them again when we are ready to do remodeling in our bathrooms and kitchen. read more

Rick and his company are great. As a young woman, I felt like he talked to me on a equal and professional level. He and his company were prompt with their correspondence and scheduling the consultation for some small projects and a kitchen remodel. I decided to have him start on one of the smaller projects - my front door overhang and roof fix. The first day the team came and did a great job with the tear down and clean up of the existing roof. A different guy came and did the rebuild and painting. We felt it was a little sloppy as some nails were showing. We emailed Rick and his team and they got right on it. The next morning it was completely fixed and then the roofing was done and project finished perfectly. So although there was an issue, they fixed it immediately. Owning my own business, I know that you can't always control what your employees do, but you can control how you react and how you fix the issue. And they fixed it 100%. I will definitely hire them for more jobs and recommend to friends. Gv read more

We are extremely happy with Rick Forehan and his team. They completed a remodel of our fireplace and family room and were professional, knowledgeable, hard-working and a pleasure to work with. Rick offered reasonable prices and completed the job in a timely manner, while ensuring the final product was of the highest quality. My husband and I will definitely use him in the future and will recommend him to others. read more

Rick and his team are awesome and we would highly recommend them. We moved into a home in Orange, CA with the idea in mind to convert a bedroom and den into a Casita and build a CA room outside our family room. Rick's bid was very competitive, but he won the job on connecting with our vision and commitment to working with us. We were concerned about all of the construction activity with our dogs. Rick volunteered to setup a large dog run which worked perfect - the first of many things we appreciated. Along the way, Rick and his team were proactive in making adjustments by seeing details that we didn't, including adding a window in the Casita for more light. These details ultimately made a big difference in the project. Our architect, David Michaels, worked with Rick and highly recommended him - a great choice. And when we needed extras, Rick made excellent recommendations - we added a home theatre with Terry and upgraded our landscaping with Kevin. Both were awesome. Everyone Rick brought to the job was top notch, very pleasant and nice to work with. We are very pleased with the quality and look forward to enjoying the new additions. We will be calling Rick for any future home improvements. Thanks Rick - great job!!!! Mary and Mark read more

If you select Rick Forehan of Forehan Construction you will be in very good hands. Rick recently completed a full home remodel for us and we could not be more pleased. Lots of contractors tell you they can or they will do something, but Rick actually delivers a high quality product on time and on budget. We did not have a designer, but Rick freely shared his opinions and experiences which really helped us to make the right decisions on items big and small. Rick has our unconditional recommendation. Since we were so pleased with the remodel of the interior of our house we decided to ask Rick and his crew to re-do the front and backyard as well. Again, excellent quality work completed on time and on budget. If we had anything left to do, Forehan Construction would be our choice. Fortunately were done with remodeling (for a while anyway). Thanks Rick! I highly recommend Forehan construction for both interior and exterior projects. read more
