    Seaweed Tofu soup
    Lucia C.

One word...FLAVORFUL!!!! Great Chinese food in a nice setting for the price! Our waiter was attentive and helpful! Seems like lots of locals judging by the waiters knowing the clientele coming into the restaurant. I started off w/ their seaweed tofu soup which I enjoyed. There could have been some bigger pieces of seaweed but I am used to the Korean version of seaweed soup which has bigger pieces. Maybe in this version it's supposed to be this way? Not sure. It was good either way. I could easily have this w/ some rice on a cold night. I tried one of my husband's vegetable dumplings. I used to make these w/ my Mom. These tasted homemade. Tony loved his fish dish and I loved my shredded chicken. Both very flavorful. The price point is fantastic. Note: Better to pay in cash and forgo some of the additional charges unless you don't care. We want to try their lunch special which also looks like a deal. We will be back!

So good that I dined here in person and then ordered takeout the next day! Every dish was so tasty. Some standouts were the dan dan noodles, the pea shoots, and the dry pot! I loved the tofu skins and the wood ear. The shredded beef was a bit hard to chew/more breading than meat. Service was good and speedy and it was very spacious inside! Will definitely go again!

Found this place by accident as it was near our son's pediatrician. We were looking for parking one day and happened to find a metered spot across the street from this location. The first time we tried food from here was a basic take out order. We ordered their lunch special and I also ordered their soup dumplings. The food was delicious so my husband and I both knew that we wanted to return. We dined in a little more recently, at the end of February 2024 and had a wonderful experience as well. The space inside was a dark colored interior of red and black but it felt spacious and open. There were plenty of tables and booth options. We chose to sit towards the back because we had our baby in his stroller so it was more spacious and quiet. We ordered their lunch specials. I had chicken with broccoli with white rice, came with a side of soup and I chose a spring roll. My husband ordered chicken with garlic sauce and we each placed an order for pork soup dumplings. Each soup dumplings order comes with 4. Our food was delicious. Soup dumplings were fresh and flavorful. We were adventurous and also ordered the spicy beef noodle soup. It was hot and spicy, warm and comforting. Noodles were firm and the beef was so very tender. The broth was fresh, hot and had a depth of flavor from the smoky spice used, and the hints of beef that infused with the broth. It was delightful. We took that one home because we couldn't finish it after eating our large lunch specials. The lunch specials offer a good sizable portion of white rice, some pickled cucumbers, spring roll and your choice of meat in a very big bento box. Overall, we enjoyed our dine in experience and will be returning again. They have high ratings and seem to be locally popular amongst a varied group of people from nearby workers to tourists and regulars. Highly recommend checking them out! Their lunch specials are the highlight of this place. With great affordable portion sizes, you can't beat that.

My coworkers and I ate lunch here on a weekday. It was about 1pm and the tables were not busy; it seemed like their to go was busier. They have a great lunch deal! I ordered the beef broccoli and it came with the appetizer (spring roll) and a soup of your choice. We enjoyed our lunch here as it was spacious and they did not rush us at all! We paid about $18PP including tip.

Good spot for lunch and dinner. They offer lunch specials M-F 11-230. Put an online order for pick up and it's ready in 15mins. Quick service. I like the shrimp with asparagus and eggplant with garlic sauce. Vegetable fried rice is too salty for me. I like their mahjong decorations. It's fun for me but I don't know if everyone will get it.

I have a taste of a shrimp fried rice.So I came over to For U when I hopped off the bus. The staff was friendly and patient. It seems like a lot of folks either are locals and/or regulars. It took a while to get my order, about 30 min. The rice was okay, a little bland. I had to add a generous amout of hot oil and soy sauce. Maybe the other dishes have more flare. If im feeling adventurous, id give ot another go. Be sure to arrive early. Evenings are when they fill up quickly.

So glad to have this spot right across the street. It's so authentic, delicious and affordable. I've tried almost all of their dishes and none was a disappointment. Both dine-in and takeout are great. I always order the fish in pickled cabbage dish and it's phenomenal. Can't wait to visit again!

The lunch special was a great deal! For about $16 it came with a soup and an entree. I got the hot and sour soup with the chicken and broccoli special -- both were pretty good! The soup was more impressive, but at less than $20 for a hearty meal, I'm not complaining! Good service as well -- I can see myself dropping by here again when I'm in the area.

The food was fresh and delicious. Although we chose take out, the restaurant was clean and inviting. It would be nice to have a lunch or dinner there. Service was good!

The hot and sour soup was perfect.

Was curious about the lunch special, picked the hot sour soup, sauteed green beans with brown rice. The table water was excellent, came with lemon in a filtered carafe. The food in the boxes didn't all come at the same time but who really cares when you're eating? Bonus for the waiter already knowing what I thought was a hair in the tray was a crack in the plastic.

Good sichuan place near union square. Enjoyed the mahjong themed decor. We got a couple of dishes - all were solid bites. Nothing mind blowing, but good food. Would come to this place if nearby and craving sichuan.

Had a really great spontaneous dinner here. Food was all delicious, portion size was huge, presentation was neat & thoughtful, and service was great. Couldn't ask for more. We stopped in on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too busy or cramped. Nice option for Chinese food if you aren't in the mood to squeeze in at one of the st marks Chinese restaurants.

Good basic Chinese and Chinese American food. Service is good and the ambiance is nice. Overall nothing particularly special. Beer and wine only, but the wine is at best generic.

I wish the sauce was sweeter though since the flavor was more j spicy/ salty. I think a different sauce like a hoisin chili combo would make the dish a lot tastier. They have a variety of sichuan dishes. I wasn't a huge fan of the swing pork belly since it's served cold and mostly tastes like cucumber- it was lacking flavor for me even with the red sauce/oil. The sour cabbage beef soup was interesting! It tasted nice and beefy, but was a bit too sour for me. The lemon dessert was my favorite! It was a cheesecake mousse with lemon curd in the middle~ so pretty and tasty! Service was top tier! I'd recommend coming here for the vibes!

I did not expect to find a sit down Cantonese & Sichuan Restaurant in the heart of Herald Square…read more For sure a hidden gem worth trying. Came here with two other friends for dinner and we pigged out. We started off with Scallion Pancake with Shredded Duck ($15), which tasted amazing. The pancake was flaky and not overly soaked in oil, while the duck meat enhanced the taste. I think everything should order this for the table. We also got the Dan Dan Noodles w Minced Pork ($8), which is a staple dish in Sichuan cuisine. Make sure you stir the bowl to mix the sauce and minced pork. For veggies, we got the Sautéed Green Beans With Eggplant ($18), which tasted great. I usually get sautéed pea shoots for a veggie dish, but this was worth ordering as the eggplant tasted great along with the green beans. For entrees, we got the Spicy Green Pepper Fish Filet ($28 for filet). A classic Cantonese dish that comes with bok choy, so it turns out I didn't really need to order a veggie dish. Delicious. We also tried the OOHU Mao Xue Wang ($34), which may be one of the most spiciest dish available on the menu. This dish combines blood curd from a duck, tripe, and chicken gizzards along with other organs into a simmered broth containing chilis and peppercorns. They also use spam, vermicelli noodles, mushroom, and other things. If you're adventurous and you like spicy, I would recommend this. Best eaten with a cup of rice. Service is great as our server made good recommends and was overall friendly. They also have a party room you can book, which sounded pretty affordable. Don't recall what their minimum spend was, but it was super reasonable compared to a lot of other spots in Chinatown and Flushing.

We ordered multiple dishes which came out one after the other. Some of the standouts for me were the Pork Intestine Dry Pot ($20.95), Crispy Tofu with Salty Egg Yolk ($23.95), and Sauteed String Beans ($16.95). Many spicy food options since this is a Szechuan spot afterall. Some dishes were a bit too salty and spicy, which they did discount after we brought it to their attention. Overall, decent spot and good for large groups. Otherwise, I didn't find this spot to be too memorable (not bad, not great).
