Came to eat here on my way to work. To my surprise, mom and pops were in the back kitchen making the original food. So I had a great treat here! Full of flavor, amazing service by their son. And had a good conversation with him as well. If I lived here, this will be my spot for Chinese food!!!!!

I have eaten from here in the past, and while never stellar, last night was the worst! My spring rolls were so greasy I had to wash my hands. My wonton soup broth was good but the wontons themselves were bland. And finally my chicken lo mien had ZERO sauce or seasoning. Thank goodness I had teriyaki sauce at home. I won't be coming back.

We have been going to Foon's for at least 5-6 years and it is by far our favorite within 5 miles of home. Everything is always made to order. The sesame chicken is the best and my kids love the lo mien and the vegetable fried rice!! Lastly, the staff are great - highly recommend! read more

Foon's came with high praise and pretty solid reviews, but it was pretty mediocre. I am not a giant Chinese food fan and every time we order it I remember why. We played it pretty safe and went for beef and broccoli along with sweet and sour chicken. It was average Chinese food. Nothing stood out as great about it and I'll probably wait about another year before we order Chinese food again. read more

Went here for dinner tonight the food was good well average Chinese to my opinion I had better but one thing I do like out this place and it's that food comes out fast and hot to ur table and the workers are very polite. As for the restaurant it's self well it needs a make over there's boxes all over the place making the place look dirty got couple of bugs flying around lol but it was cool only like too table too eat so I guess u order and go lol over all if I live in va beach I would deff order from here again. read more

Food is consistently good. John will do whatever variation on a dish you want. My thing is tofu. He'll make it anyway and on any dish the way you want it. Call it in and it's ready pronto! Never had a messed up order, you know, you get home, open the bag and somethings missing or not right? Never here! Give it a try, you'll like it! read more

DELICIOUS CHINEASE FOOD. BEST IN VIRGINIA BEACH. Love this place. And the food is sooo tasty. I would never order Chinese food from anywhere else. It's sooo fast I swear they make it in the car!!! Ouch! We called to order delivery for a company event and picked Foon's because friends live in the shore drive area and we have had it before. The man on the phone told me they are short people today and can we pick up. I explained it's not possible for us and he then hung up on me. Ouch! My daughter loves orange chicken, and I was contemplating on either ordering pizza or going to our usual spot at Jade Garden. So I went on Yelp and found some great reviews for Foons, so I decided to give them a try; after all the pictures looked good on their website and I eat with my eyes. So on we went to Foons Chinese Restaurant and order take out. I got the dinner combo with vegetable fried rice, orange chicken and Wong tong egg soup and a large order of Lou Mein noodles ( sorry if Mispell) anyways, the orange chicken is probably the best orange chicken iv had this far, certainly beats Jade Gardens orange chicken and My daughter loved it. The soup was great very tasty, everything was good except the fact they forgot our egg roll which was included in the dinner combo. But no big deal, the pricing is decent and we've found our new favorite Asian take out spot. read more

I found this place on Yelp and thought it would be a typical Chinese take out spot but I was so wrong. This place is incredible. I was skeptical going in but as soon as I went through the door I was welcomed in and treated like family. The boss came out and saw me with my family then commented on my "Awesome" shirt and immediately made us feel like we were in some big fancy restaurant. He tossed two tables together with some chairs for all of us and took our orders which were done quickly and most excellently. Some of the best Chinese food I've had. He kept checking on us and bringing us what we needed and it really felt like we were eating in a family member's living room. The prices are great, the food is delicious and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Virginia Beach or even for locals who haven't tried it yet, it's a short drive from the beach but it is the most bang for your buck. They say New York has the best Chinese food but Foon's is definitely better than most I've tasted in my home town. read more

Since my goto place has gone down hill I have been checking out others, this place is 20 minutes from my home but worth the drive, the dumplings are tender and moist like they should be and the sauce fantastic. The beef teriyaki is soo mouth watering it is amazing. Yeah it's a drive and cuts down on how much Chinese we eat but well worth the trip!! read more

So I live on great neck road and was craving for some take out chinese food and wondered which one is decent in my area. I believe foon's is the answer. I'm chinese so I'm not gonna tell you this food is a delicacy but in comparison to other chinese take out places, this place is prob the best. Decent serving size and really cheap. Not great not horrible. Two combos for $18. The general Taos chicken was not as flavorful as we would have liked. Kind of bland and the chicken was breaded. The rice was ok but still left some things to be desired. The combo came with a shrimp fried egg roll which was delicious! So the price and the egg roll was the best part. They will only deliver about 4 miles out but I wouldn't think this place was special enough to drive any further. read more

I found this place on Yelp because it had good reviews. Well, I ordered food, gave them our address, and all seemed good. 30 minutes later I receive a call that they don't deliver to our address. They even had already made the food. Should have told us this 30 minutes ago when I ordered. Now I'm hungry and pissed off. Ugh. read more

I tried Foon's today as a result of other plans falling through. Glad they fell through because the General tso's chicken that I had was fresh, spicy, and very tasty. The egg roll was great too... All for less than $10. I would call that a deal. If you want some good Chinese food, definitely give this place a try. They deliver for free also. read more

Food was prepared extremely fast....so fast that when I got home and opened the package, the meat was raw, vegetables were uncooked, and extremely bland. There are better selections in VB and Norfolk area. Check them out. read more

We tried Foon's tonight because of all the ratings. Their pancit and fried rice was delicious and had lots of veggies in both. We enjoyed most of our dishes, but the dinner combo was smaller portioned compared to other restaurants. We have tried a few other Chinese places and this one is worth coming back to. read more

Great Chinese food. Almost under salted which was a shock, but not disappointing. I like the American version of crab rangoon and this place doesn't have that. However, this is the most authentic fast Chinese food I have ever had and it won't disappoint. read more

We have lived in the neighborhood for years and finally decided to check out Foon's......needless to say, it was our first time but will certainly not be the last! The food was ready quickly, the to-go packaging was excellent and the food was still piping hot when I got home! And, the best part was the meal itself- it was probably the best quality chicken I have ever had from a Chinese restaurant! Foon's is perfect Chinese food for your belly and for your wallet! We love to order take out and it always comes quick, fresh, and hot. We normally order from the dinner combination menu which we think is a great deal! The pork fried rice is delicious with huge chunks of pork. I have ordered multiple items which have all been tasty! Can't ever go wrong with either egg drop, wonton soup or an egg roll. Foon's also delivers to us down at the end of the north end which is sometimes hard to find! read more

For an inexpensive little take out Chinese place, quite good!! very fresh and they offer brown rice. there are a couple of small tables and a (nice and clean) restroom, but definitely mainly intended to be a to go place, as their sign says.. You can tell these people take pride in serving a quality product, and it shows. read more

Our experienced chefs only use fresh and high quality ingredients, and we make everything from scratch including our sauces! In addition to our general menu we have a board of specials that changes every couple of weeks. Come in and try something different! We specialize in customized special requests like gluten-free dishes. Just let us know your preferences, and we will make something catered just for you. He responds to most names though, but he prefers John or Mr. Chiang!

He came over and said, "I overheard you said the scallion pancakes, did you want to put in that order?" My girlfriend said no, she wanted everything to come out all at once. He said ok and then we walked off. Next thing we know, the pancakes came out WAY ahead of everything else we ordered. By like 15 minutes at least. When my girlfriend said something about it, the waiter said, he said outright " I never heard her say not to order them, she never said anything, and they are out right now". No apology, no I'll go ahead and fix that...nothing. When we we on the way out, we talked to the owner about the experience and the only thing he mentioned was that, the server was new and it's hard to find good employees because they revolve so quickly. Which wasn't really an answer at all. It was definitely a 180 degree turn from the first experience we had here which was 5 stars all around. I think given the experience, we unfortunately won't be coming back

The café wasn't busy when we visited there was only one couple dining in, it was clean, and the customer service was great. The employee who helped us was friendly, welcoming, and very kind. Since they were out of the malasadas, I decided to order the banana latte instead. I'd give it about a 7/10. For context, I'm always searching for a great banana latte because I love flavored coffee. One thing that frustrates me is when coffee shops advertise flavors like cookie butter, lemon pound cake, or red velvet, but the drink just ends up tasting like sweet coffee with no real trace of the advertised flavor. I was pleasantly surprised because this latte actually tasted like banana. It wasn't the best banana latte I've ever had that title still belongs to one I had in Las Vegas but it was definitely one of the better ones I've tried. The only reason it wasn't rated higher is because I noticed a sugary base flavor that overpowered the coffee a little for me. I personally prefer flavored lattes where I mainly taste the coffee cut with milk and the featured flavor heavily, not just sweetness. That's purely my preference. The fact that I finished the entire drink says a lot. I've had plenty of flavored coffees that I couldn't even finish because I disliked them so much. This wasn't one of those. I enjoyed it, and I definitely didn't regret ordering it. Now...the real star of the visit was the lumpia. It was AMAZING. Crispy, flavorful, and easily some of the best lumpia I've had. I actually tried another lumpia spot recently, and while it was decent, Ohana & Co.'s lumpia completely won me over. It's honestly the reason I'll be back. I have an eye appointment in the area next week, and I'm already planning another stop. I'll definitely be ordering the lumpia again, and this time I'm hoping they have the banana malasadas because that's what I originally came for. I also want to try one of their platters. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend giving Ohana & Co. a try. The customer service was wonderful, the café was clean, the banana latte was one of the better ones I've had, and the lumpia alone is worth the drive.

I had the fried shrimp which was delicious and I got broccoli and mashed potatoes as the sides. The sides were ok but the shrimp were wonderful with a light breading and great cocktail sauce.

The calamari was ok! not what my wife wanted because she is picky but the general tso chicken was the best we've ever had.
