This is THE best affordable takeout I have ever had, in any city I've lived in. I eat here at least twice a month. When someone visits me from out of town, I always pick China Dragon up so I can blow their minds because it really is better than all the rest. They have good quality vegetables and they know how to properly cook tofu. The lo mein is phenomenal, not greasy, perfect amount of veg, nice grill taste. Best of all, they are consistent. Don't be put off by the non-standard styrofoam containers, their packaging holds PLENTY! I was stuffed, couldn't eat it all (comfortably) in one sitting. They also offer an good lunch special. For one, they were open on Memorial Day when everywhere else was closed and I was starving. their wonton soup was fresh and deliciou. I ordered pork lo mein and requested it to be spicy. We were visiting the neighborhood, and decided to get some quick takeout food from here based on fairly positive reviews on Yelp. Shrimp Lo mein- was a little soggy to our liking and didn't have much flavor to it. Vegetable Chowmein- We were expecting a noodles dish, but their chowmein is basically bland vegetable soup with some crisps on the side that you mix together. Not as expected and even this wasn't good. Chicken Szechuan combo- We were expecting this to have more flavor, but even this was kind of bland. On the menu, it lists this item as spicy, but it's pretty bland. May be, they have 'Americanized' their dishes to have not much flavor and the customers need to request more spice/flavor while ordering. But we will not be ordering again to find out. This is the first time I've tried this new Chinese food restaurant that's around the corner from my new house. I ordered the beef teriyaki sticks. It came with four of them and when I open the bag & pulled a beef stick out, they were bright red.... Stupidly I decided to try it anyways and regretted every second of eating it. It completely melted in my mouth and not the way you may think a nice rare prime rib would melt in your mouth... It was the equivalent to Putting a spoonful of chunky peanut butter in your mouth and letting it disintegrate on your tongue. Like a mouth full of sand... I'm sure I will be regretting actually swallowing it later.... I ordered the house Ponsett. and maybe I just think of Ponsett a different way but this Ponset had zero taste whatsoever. It was the blandest food I think I have ever eaten and the noodles were not even seasoned or cooked all the way. it was just bland nastiness! After this now being strike two on this to go order I was hesitant to even open the beef and broccoli order and just throw everything in the trash. I'm glad I decided against that thinking I could at least eat the steamed rice. The beef and broccoli was actually pretty good. The vegetables still had a little bit of crispness to them, making them not mushy as hell and like they had been sitting in a bowl for hours like some places. The only reason they are getting two stars is because: 1-- the beef and broccoli was actually good and 2-- they were super fast making my order (granted it was 4:00pm / off hour). Although the more I think about it, the more disgusted I get & I think I need to put it down to one star... I.E. = never going here again!! :( read more

If you like tofu and Chinese food, this place has really good General Tso's Tofu. The tofu is cut into small cubes so it's crispy on the outside unlike other places that serve huge squishy chunks of tofu. I went during lunch and they have the usual lunch specials along with two vegetarian options; Sesame Tofu and General Tso's. You have the choice between a side of steamed rice or pork fried rice and a can of soda or bottle of water. Total price is very reasonable at $6.30 and the portion was big enough that I had leftovers for dinner. read more
