Who's hungry? I was..Neighborhood gem. Small, cute establishment. Upon entering, warmly greeted and seated immediately. Upon conversation, our waiter was the owners son Aaron. Such a warm friendly accommodating young man. Very engaging when taking orders and a very dynamic interaction. The food: Started with fried calamari and baked clams both were delicious. Loved the fact the calamari was lightly breaded and not overly fried, paired well with the marinara sauce. Baked clams delicious only drawback and it's because of my preference a bit garlicky but for the garlic lovers you would appreciate. My main dish penna in vodka sauce with shrimp scampi delicious. Well seasoned but for me a bit heavy with the garlic. My reason for 3 star, the shrimp was not deveined. My dining partner had the penne pasta with grill lemon pepper chicken which he absolutely loved. Other dining partner enjoyed her shrimp on marina with a side salad. Salad was fresh and crisp with delicious dressing. Dessert: wasn't the cheesecake I was expecting. It had a spongecake type consistency but it was delicious and we devoured it. Tiramisu, I don't usually partake but there's was such an awesome blend of coffee, moistness, not overly sweet I found my "just one little taste" turned into several little tastes. Lol All in all great experience, definitely recommend and I will return. BTW.. l love the fact I stated my favorite gelato flavors are passionfruit and raspberry which they didn't have.. he actually wrote it down to relay to his Dad. Whether or not it happens I appreciate the fact he listened. Bonus.. it's on Seated. Download the app enter my code Michelle1454 to be rewarded for eating out! You're welcome!

Soooo delicious and mouth watering. Came hot and fresh

I've ordered from Fontana's in the past and their food is always pretty delicious. Normally I get the penne a la vodka with chicken but this time I decided to be a bit more adventurous and try their Chicken parm hero sandwich and mozzarella sticks. The sandwich came nicely packaged and it's a great size which I was happy about because it lasted me all day lol Taste wise, it was pretty good just needed some more seasoning or flavoring. Something was missing from the chicken, but it wasn't the worst thing. I would rate it a 7.5. The mozzarella sticks were a perfect 10! Hot and crispy and served with sauce. They tasted fresh and delicious. Delivery was great too and I ordered via Grubhub. I would def recommend and would order again. P.S. I've eaten in here as we before Covid and their sangria is to die for! Nice and strong, not weak (I hate weak drinks lol) and their service is great for dine in as well. Enjoy!

Ordered here during the Covid-19 pandemic for the first time. I'm trying to do my part by supporting local businesses during the crisis. I've always wanted to try their food and they didn't disappoint. Since this was a take out order , I called the restaurant about three times ( I kid you not!) to find out about the menu items , portion sizes and delivery times. Delivery took 30-40 mins and the food came piping hot , the delivery man was also very courteous. The portion sizes were large and filling for the two of us. My belly was thoroughly pleased and full. I cant wait to go here once this is all over....

The correct location is 1140 Utica Ave, Brooklyn, NY, the day we went it was at a designated pickup locker where your food is stored. This confusion added an extra 30 minutes to my trip. Wait Time & Ordering Experience The kiosk estimated a wait time of 6-16 minutes, but we ended up waiting around 40 minutes for our order. That was upsetting. What We Ordered Mains: Fried Chicken, Honey Glazed Salmon, Catfish Sides: Blueberry Cornbread, Candied Coconut Yams, Mac & Cheese Food Quality Catfish: Easily the standout of the meal. Perfectly cooked, an easy 10/10. Fried Chicken: A major letdown. It was dry and under-seasoned, tasting mostly of salt. Honey Glazed Salmon: Unfortunately, there was no noticeable glaze and the fish was also dry. Sides Candied Coconut Yams & Mac and Cheese: Both were delicious and classic comfort food done right. Blueberry Cornbread: Tasted more like a blueberry muffin. While not bad on its own, it didn't complement the savory items well. Value & Final Thoughts Combo platters (1 main + 2 sides) run about $20-$24. For that price and the long wait time (40-45 minutes), I expected a bit more consistency. The catfish and sides were worth the trip, but the other mains left much to be desired. Pros: Halal soul food is a great concept and rare to find. Cons: The chicken and salmon. Would I return? Possibly for the catfish. But considering catfish is halal almost anywhere, and the other mains didn't deliver. Wonderful concept!

There was no time like the present to finally give it a try. We made a reservation, and I'm glad we did because the restaurant is on the smaller, cozy side. I would definitely recommend making a reservation, especially on the weekends. They also have happy hour from 5-7 p.m., so we ordered drinks and oysters. The oysters were good, and so were the drinks. I tried the Kid Creole, which is made with Barbancourt, sherry, lime, guava, and simple syrup, and it was delicious. For our appetizers, I had the Summer Crab & Corn Chowder, and it was very good--creamy and well-balanced. My friend had the Fried Green Tomatoes and enjoyed them as well. For our entrée, we both ordered the pan-seared snapper with three-cheese stone-ground grits, truffle oil, and a charred pepper and onion medley. The fish was well-seasoned, and the grits were excellent. I'm not usually a fan of grits unless they have cheese, and these definitely didn't disappoint. For dessert, I had the ice cream, while my friend ordered the bread pudding. The bread pudding was a bit tough and wasn't served warm, as it typically is. However, they corrected the issue, which we both appreciated. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back to try other dishes. I especially appreciated the friendly welcome when we arrived and the excellent customer service throughout our visit.
