I don't usually post negative reviews, but after giving Fogo de Chão Burlington a couple of weeks to make things right, I feel it's important to share our experience. My daughter and I were looking forward to a special lunch together, but unfortunately it turned into one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've ever had. After waiting more than 20 minutes for my meal, I was served chicken that was visibly undercooked. I immediately asked to speak with a manager and explained that I was no longer comfortable eating meat. Instead of bringing a manager, I was incessantly pressured to accept another serving. I reluctantly agreed, only to receive another piece of chicken that was bleeding. It then took another 15 minutes before someone in junior management came to speak with us, and the only resolution offered was to remove my meal from the bill. No GM ever came by. I chose not to post immediately because I wanted to give the restaurant an opportunity to make things right. I contacted corporate and received an acknowledgment that my email had been received and would be reviewed. Since then, no one has reached out to have a conversation with me, no one has taken the time to understand the full impact of what happened, and no one has offered any opportunity to make up for what was supposed to be a special lunch with my daughter. What makes this especially disappointing is that Fogo de Chão has been one of my family's favorite places to celebrate. I've brought friends and family there for birthdays, Mother's Day, and other special occasions over the years. I was a loyal, frequent customer who enthusiastically recommended the restaurant to others. Mistakes can happen at any restaurant. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, the lack of meaningful follow-up has been just as disappointing as the experience itself. As a result, Fogo de Chão has lost a loyal customer. I have not been to a Fogo de Chao location in years, so perhaps it's just like this now (ahem private equity), but this visit was quite disjointed. Warning signs up front: - OK maybe this one was our fault for not just calling it quits. Our server was very confused when we asked about the corkage fee, which is fine if you're new - but it took 20+ min for her to track down the price. We OKayed corkage and initially said we'd self serve but she started pouring, so we asked her to pour 3-4 oz for each adult; She basically poured out three brimming full goblets and then the last person had (generously) two sips-worth in their glass. We had to "reorganize" the wine ourselves. - The lights over our table shut off a few min after we were seated. When we asked someone passing by (turned out to be a manager), we were told "we always turn the lights down at 6"? But given we couldn't see the food or the menu, she reluctantly went to turn it on. - Food service otherwise was fine, though we noticed several cuts of meat were seasoned but overly dry, and then others were tender but quite under seasoned. No Goldilocks. - Desserts took 45 min to come out. We would have taken them to go but unfortunately ordered several ice creams. Pluses: - The salad / hot food buffet section itself was pretty good, lots of fresh fruits and the mixed vegetables were tasty. - The molten chocolate cake and ice creams were a hit. - It wasn't crowded, its family friendly, and we didn't have a problem getting a reservation for a large party. Fogo generally isn't my thing but even if you love endless meats, this one may need some work. read more

Christopher was our server and did the bare minimum, but at the end of our meal, insisted that we scan a QR code to leave a 5-star review and mention his name, and wouldn't leave us alone until he saw us scan the code and type out his name, so here's your review Christopher! We also felt that it was unfair that when we sat down, he only offered still or sparkling water. We didn't realize until later that we could've opted for free tap water like most restaurants usually offer. Christopher ultimately wasn't even the one to give us the tap water either. The food was good, but there were many times that the workers carrying around meat made eye contact with us but didn't come towards us even though the tables next to us got served plenty of times. I came with my family for my birthday lunch, but the aggressive way we were forced to leave a review at the end left a bad taste in all of our mouths. read more

You probably won't have room fir dessert but what the heck, get it anyway. You only live once. The tres leches, chocolate lava, and nangi panna cotta are favorites. Flavor was good though, has the essence of the beef with some saltiness -Pork sausage dry, they only had normal sausage no spicy ones available during our time. -Garlic steak huge fat piece so if you like chewing on a large chunk of flavorful fat, this is its i opted to just bite it for the flavor and eat the beef itself. -Prime sirloin garlic, packed with garlic flavor and cooked well for us. Got few slices of this cut! Two rounds. Filet steak, lean meat but cooked medium and top with some butter... you good to go. Top Sirloin thin cuts, was a nice round off to our meal. Mash potatoes included in the price. Brazilian cheese bread balls superb, light chew and perfect cheese and hit of saltiness gimme more!!! But very filling. Plantains Salad bar Charcuterie setup Man, you have to show up hungry and pace yourself or you'll fill up super fast! Love this spot though and this location is clean, good AC, and servers are quick during lunch hour to bring over food. Now i don't think all the meat cuts were available or being cooked but either way we were full and happy. $49 for lunch cost which includes all good meat cuts! We went on Monday and maybe that was our mistake but it was a miserable experience the whole time. Our waters were only filled a quarter to start and it took forever for our bottle of wine to be served. We also weren't given the tabs to show we were doing the whole experience so we went about 10 minutes with food going by and not being able to have any. There were multiple times when our plates were clear because no one came by for 5+ minutes at a time. When we said something to our waitress a server came by with 2 burnt pieces of lamb and offered them to us. We passed. A lot of the meat was either too chewy/fatty and one piece was barely cooked at all. Another waitress came by asking if we wanted anything specific and we just said anything would be nice. We got offered lamb chops then (best thing of the night) and then beef ribs. But those were only offered to my husband. He said no so the server walked away without even acknowledging me and that perhaps I speak for myself and would have wanted some. The food was amazing but our dining experience was disappointing due to the terrible service and lack of cleanliness of the bathrooms. Our server kept disappearing or forgetting what we needed. When we did happen to get their attention, for more water, another drink from the bar, dessert and our bill. The requests were not handled efficiently and we felt forgotten often. Just one example, It took twenty minutes, asking twice and having a completely different server to bring us the desert menu. Also, had to ask different servers to order more drinks from the bar and to refill our waters because I couldn't lay eyes on our server for almost 45 minutes. When we finished our long awaited drinks and desserts, it took another hour 15-20 minutes to get our bill. The bathrooms needed cleaning and toilet paper refills. Two of the stalls in the ladies room were empty. The trash near the sinks were overflowing with paper towels. For the price they charge, they should have a server in training walking the floor refilling waters for the customers. Also someone checking the paper products and the trash in the bathrooms is very much needed The only reason I gave 3 stars and not 2 was because I absolutely loved the food So if you can get past the bad service the food is definitely worth it read more

Love the atmosphere of this lovely, roomy, restaurant. The waiter was awesome. My friend and I had the buffet. It was enormous and very tasty. So many choices and very fresh salads, fruits and antipasti. The all you can eat "Market Bar" included soups and some non-vegetarian items such as salami and a delicious creamy chicken soup. Today was my first time trying Fogo de Chão-Burlington! We decided to go for lunch while at the Burlington Mall. Initially, we were interested in doing the "Best of Brazil" special for $49/pp that the chain is having until the end of the month, however, this option does not include certain meats, such as the beef ribs and sirloin cuts. The regular AYCE lunch full churrasco price is $49/pp anyways and included everything, so we went with the normal AYCE lunch full churrasco option since it's the same price & has better meat cuts. This comes with premium meat cuts, the market table, and Brazilian sides. Here's what we had: -***beef ribs -***lamb chops -steak w/ bacon -chicken w/ bacon -flank steak -garlic steak -***prime top sirloin -top sirloin -bottom sirloin -filet mignon Brazilian apps: -caramelized bananas -cheese fries? -garlic mash potatoes -cheesy bread/warm pão de queijo Market table: -marinated mushrooms -mixed olives w/ citrus herbs -roasted artichokes -roasted beets -asparagus -roasted garlic -papaya -dragonfruit -pineapple My favorite cuts were the beef ribs and the prime top sirloin! Everything had the perfect amount of salt, that was not too salty and complimented the meats well. I love getting the sides from the market table... I can never get enough haha. All very tasty and fresh ingredients! Water we got was Saratoga still water, one of my faves, ~$7-8. The dragonfruit, pineapple, and papaya were great for end of the meal, all were perfectly ripe and sweet :) I would definitely come back again! First time there for a special occasion. Also my last. This place wasn't for me. I was expecting it to a pleasant fine dining n fun experience. We sat by the meat roaster. Thought it would be cool to watch them cook. The noise level in general was very loud then you add loud staff talking while cooking the meats became inaudible. We had to lean into to try to talk with the person next to you. we couldn't have a conversation. What's the point celebrating there if you can't converse. You don't have a designated server so getting the attention from a random server was challenging. Drinks ordered were a draft beer, gin n tonic and a coke, took 15 minutes plus and had to find a manager to ask again for them. They did not have all the meats that are listed when they come around which I couldn't comprehend because this to me was supposed to be a fun celebration. How can you not have chicken during the time we were there. The staff was pleasant when they came around with the few meat choices. The meats were all extremely over seasoned. Way too much salt. I was hoping the dining experience would've been different. They didn't offer dessert. We got dessert elsewhere. Then the bill comes and they charged for 4 people. There were only 3 of us. I've been here so many times so this is me finally getting around to reviewing the spot. I've only been to the location in Burlington which is great for the parking accessibility. I know there's the spot in Copley that's been around forever too. Also I can compare this to Alma Gaucha in Seaport. Upon arriving they have a small paper disc with Yes and No to flip to let the servers know when they come around with the meat whether you want any more or you're all set for the time being. They have fixed prices if you are partaking in the meats. There's also a more premium tier as well. The drinks I've tried were solid but they're not the stars for the dining experience. They have a large space to accommodate larger groups. I've gone here with co-workers with a group of ~25, and they were able to arrange a very long table. I've also gone with friends. They have a great salad bar with a lot of other fresh options to complement the overwhelming amount of meat you will be offered. Some of my favorites are the sweet mini peppers, cheese, fresh fruits, and smoked salmon. I don't know how anyone can come here and leave here not moderately full but more likely stuffed. The main downside was the rotation of meats. We saw a lot of repeats and you probably need to inquire if you're looking for something specific that hasn't come by yet. We had to ask several times about the Filet Mignon. Plus given how the meat cooks on the skewers there is some variability to the rare or well-doneness of the cut they give you. One of my colleagues was grossed out by the bloodiness about some of the cuts of meat. Overall great for the quantity, but if you want to enjoy just your typical steaks, I'd recommend still going to your high end steakhouse of choice. read more

At times, it felt more like Fogo de chaos, and I wonder if they regret having a business name so close to that in spelling. It was the Friday of a holiday weekend, so that undoubtedly contributed, though I have to believe they can be busy quite often, and during the time I was there, there was never a point where every table was full. Be aware that there are 2 tiers of offerings, Full Churrasco and Indulgent Churrasco, the latter giving you and costing you more. If you say nothing, you will automatically be assumed to want the Indulgent option, and you will be given the green/red discs for that (which look different). The idea of the entire staff being your serving team can work well... except when it doesn't. We had multiple servers try to take our drink orders, and the drinks did not all come out at the same time. If we wanted to get something special, unless someone had explicitly come to our table asking if we needed something, we had to try to flag someone down - and we would have no idea if they were already running an errand for someone else. I liked the salad bar a lot, especially the assortment of salad and greens, the smoked salmon, the papaya, and the large amount of roasted garlic cloves. We sometimes went long periods without any servers coming to our table offering meat, and very often their skewers were almost empty. In a lot of cases, they would run out and have to get more after serving only 1 or 2 of us. A lot of the beef was really rare, and sometimes they actually decided to go back in for a different skewer after cutting off the ends and seeing how rare it was inside. Yes, many people like their beef that rare. Others don't. Some of the cuts of beef were REALLY fatty. I was much more satisfied with the chicken, lamb, and pork options. Overall, it was an okay experience, and I'd certainly come back. But I've been to numerous other Brazilian steakhouses - both larger chains and smaller businesses - that can do it better. read more

We dined here on last month to celebrate my son's 16th birthday. He chose this restaurant based on a previous visit, which was very pleasant. Unfortunately, this time was a completely different experience. The restaurant was extremely overcrowded, and it appeared as though more tables had been added, which made the atmosphere feel cramped and uncomfortable. Service and food quality were disappointing. We received very few cheese bread balls, and the sides were served in tiny portions--barely a scoop each. We were also promised up to 10 different cuts of meat, but only about four kept coming around, and the same ones were repeated over and over. We had to keep asking where the other cuts were, but they never came. For four people, we spent around $400, and it did not feel worth it. The value and quality were nowhere near what we expected, especially compared to our last visit. Sadly, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not return. A good steakhouse with quality meats would have been a much better choice. read more

I wish I had a bigger stomach because everything tasted so good! I was a victim of the salad bar because they offer such a great variety of sides, salads, and more! The meat selection is huge, the meat servers come around so frequently and you are never left waiting for someone to come by. I really enjoy the lamb and beef selections, they are super flavorful and nicely seared. When going to buffets like this I don't recommend eating chicken. I made a mistake of getting chicken and the server gave me a whole chicken breast. Like girl this chicken breast is bigger than my hand! The chicken breast was dry and I just couldn't eat it. I don't recommend.. However for all the beef and lamb options they only give you a slice. I'm sure if you ask for extra slices they will give it to you but I'm sure its a tactic that they give you extra chicken portions over beef and lamb. The desserts are also amazing! This is a special occasion kind of place. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay . We went for the upgraded experience which included lamb and fillet mignon. Everything really was great. The service was very good considering how busy they were. We happen to go when they were packed with a waiting line. There was a little bit of a delay between servings of the meat, especially the better cuts. Overall not the best experience. We were seated in the area next to the market table and feijoada bar. It was nice to see the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables offered. A person from my party ordered the mango habanero caipirinha and it was not what she expected. She said that it tasted exactly like the passionate caipirinha, which was a drink someone else in my party got. She brought it up to the attention of our server who took the drink and brought it back with no change. She was not satisfied so she tried to order some wine. There was some kind of wine event going on and she tried to order some to try but they were out of every option she wanted so she had to settle for one. We opted to do the full experience but for some reason we never got to try all of the meats included in the menu. We never saw chicken or ribs. We were only able to get the sausage once we asked for it around 3 times. Eventually after asking for the chicken numerous times, a server finally brought a piece over to us. March 18, 2026. This might be my worst experience I have ever had at Fogo. We came in at 7pm. And there wasn't a lot of people. The cold station looked like a leftover plates. Took forever for the meat to come out and when they are here, it was like small pieces of leftover meat. The server didn't know how to cut the meat, gave me chunks of steak instead of slices. Incredibly disappointed with this visit to one of my favorite restaurants. Our first server offered us only the option of still or sparking water, we chose still wanting no bubbles and were annoyed to see it charged for $7.75 on the bill. Tap water would have been fine had that been an option offered to us. I had a finished drink of the table for 20 minutes before a server checked in with us for another. With regard to the meat, The same sorry pieces of lamb were offered to us at least three times before they were retired. Their prime meats were only offered once over the course of an hour dining. Most of the gouchos had chicken, pork, lamb, or the lesser quality steaks like steak in bacon. Four of the five pieces of steak that I received were cooked medium well to well even when I asked for medium rare pieces. Once I asked a gaucho if he had anything less well done, looking for medium rare. He said he would bring some and came back with yet another medium well piece. I appreciated that he tried, but I guess there was nothing less done available. At this restaurant chain, the managers are often more present than usual and stop by the table to check in. This did not happen in this visit and I did not see the managers talk to any tables though they were walking around. Unfortunate that they wouldn't correct some serious flaws to the quality of the service and food in their restaurant. The Burlington location has always been the weakest that I've visited, it is definitely going to be a long while before we try it again. Hopefully we have a better experience at one of their other locations. read more

We had rented the private space for a recent work event at Fogo. It was good, however I noticed that after awhile the meat servers stopped coming through with the meat. We had to specifically request they come back - despite people still having the green side up on their flip card. Our dedicated waitstaff was good, attentive enough. I did have an issue with the pre-coordination of the event in that I have a number of food allergies and wanted to see if I could be accommodated. I contacted the individual who handled the reservation for our group and they never got back to me. I ended up being unable to eat with my group due to this communication failure. read more

I think he came over once to give sides and then we had to flag him to get water. He never checked in after the first 20 minutes. He lowkey avoided eye contact and the table completely. Also, it seemed like some of the people holding meets would skip over us purposefully unless we flagged them down. It feels like the servers prioritize folks toward the front of the restaurant and those who order alcoholic beverages and Saratoga water. We didn't even have our original server bring our desserts. Luv this place but if you're looking for good service you came to the wrong place. I'll explain. We luv eating in the bar & we luv the bar menu but the service is F-. When you're lucky enough to get a server it's just someone that's passing by. Was there very recently and as usual was ignored but watched friends of the manager get served before us even tho we were there 10 minutes before him. Lucky guy , he had a lobster tail dinner comped by the manager and didn't tip his server. We were close enough to understand what was going on cuz the managers always have their friends sit at the same table. Have easily been to the Burlington store 20 times and it's consistently terrible service. Hey, at least it's consistent. Oh and the food is great. Beef rib, filet board & lamb chops are fantastic. Hamburger is the best around by far. The prices of the food went up byut it's still a good deal. Prices of the drinks are too high though. read more

I've been a fan of Fogo for over a decade. Regularly frequented the Boston location in my earlier years and now frequenting the Burlington having moved to the suburbs. I even went to Fogo in Burlington for my last two birthdays. However, I regret taking my family here last Saturday. It was a disaster.... First, I was pleasantly surprised to see us being sat right away (which usually we have to wait to be seated, even with a reservation). We were even seated at a round table that had plenty of room for our stroller (for the baby to sleep) and a high chair for our toddler. Well, it all went down hill from there. One hour into being seated we only had two meats come by our table including a top round roast and chicken. Everyone knows you don't fill up on chicken and while the top round was good, I definitely wanted and expected more steak. Steak is Fogo's "bread and butter"....right? What was weird, is that most tables around us (including the 20+ person party seated behind us) were getting all of the meats. After being there for the first hour, I asked the server if other meats will come. I got a nod. Twenty minutes later, they came to our table with the same top round roast while I still see all the tables around us getting served several different varieties of cuts. Ok....after an hour and a half of being blatantly ignored, I knew something was up. I felt as though they were playing a game with us since they kept bringing the same top round roast. This started to get extremely annoying and quite frankly, insulting. Having slept on the experience, I am not sure what they had against us; all interactions were pleasant and standard until we realized we were in fact being ignored (and maybe slightly taunted by their staff). After 2 hours of not getting anything but a round roast (offered 6 times), chicken and finally a bacon wrapped steak - we asked for a manager......who never came. In the end, they comped our food. Thus was obviously the right thing to do, but again, I was there for some choice steak cuts at the table and not to leave hungry at 8:30 pm with a toddler and a 5 month old baby (parents...you know what I mean!). No apology, no manager, just standard indifference. I would have tipped the server and a part of me feels bad for not tipping him; I'm not in a position to encourage NOT taking ownership of an issue (I didn't want a refund, I came for steak!) and NOT valuing a customer's time and experience.
