We had Kevin as a server and he was funny and recited the menu sooo perfectly, he could be a cars salesman and I'd buy the car he's selling! We started with the Cesar salad for 2 and my husband got the lobster bisque- 10/10 for all! Next the food came, perfectly cooked, perfectly explained and plated! We each got steak (of course) with the mooo flight sides, added grilled broccolini and my husband got bone marrow - 10000/100000 for all. Let's just say we brought home so much leftovers because we wanted to try everything and are both dieting! Yes, we were definitely overfilled and could barely breathe but desert? Needed to happen. Came here for a baby's 1st birthday event and wow what an amazing team they have here! All staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend coming here for a meal or to host one of your own events! They had multiple rooms available for different needs. We had a dining area and then a different area for activities. The bartenders were quick and drinks were on point. The lobster bisque was delicious. Very creamy and just the right thickness. Their bread was definitely a win too! Warm, soft, and flavorful with their ball of butter. I got the filet and it was made to my liking with a sauce under it. It came with mashed potatoes and veggies, which completed the meal! Last thing was the chocolate cake- so moist and flavorful. Also had a scoop of ice cream to go with the taste and texture. Shout out to one of the staff members- I believe his name was Mark? (We talked about his neighbor's baby named Lucas.) He was so attentive to our table and he was entertaining the little toddlers as he walked by, which helped with getting them distracted so that they don't get fussy. This was my fourth time at Mooo..., and while it's a solid steakhouse, it's definitely not my first choice given the other great steak options in Burlington. We had to wait about 30 minutes past our reservation time, and eventually were told we'd need to sit on the bar side unless we wanted to wait even longer. The bar side itself isn't bad, it's actually more secluded, which is nice, but the service over there is extremely lacking. We had to ask for the complimentary bread multiple times, and it didn't come out until after our appetizers, at which point it kind of defeats the purpose. The apps are definitely delicious. Calamari fried perfectly and has great spice with the added peppers and big portion size. Steak tartare always has a good flavor profile as well, However, you could tell our waitress was definitely out on the bar side and not the dining room for a reason. That said, the steaks are pretty solid, which is obviously expected at that price point, and I do like that they all come with bone marrow, which is a nice touch. Dessert was a highlight, the cookies and milk are delicious and a great way to end the meal. They also offer a beef wellington which is the only big time steak house i've seen do this. Solid food and service. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The place has a dark dimly lit vibe. The setup is different than its predecessor (L'Andana). The east coast oysters were fresh and the accoutrements were top notch, especially the mignonette. The sirloin tartare had a visual vibe. The beef was nicely chilled but the smoke overpowered the flavor. My wife's beef Wellington was solid and perfectly cooked. The combination of foie gras, mushroom, greens and steak was delectable. I ordered the dry aged porterhouse but the waitress accidentally put in the dry aged ribeye. When I commented on the error the staff and management were very apologetic, even removing the steak off the bill for making me wait for my steak. I felt like that was above and beyond service. The porterhouse arrived only a few minutes later so I didn't have to wait too long and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The chocolate cake is a must get for chocolate lovers. Needed to find a place in the area for a fancy private dinner and landed on Mooo...Burlington! Definitely did not leave here hungry at all! Since we actually had booked a private room, we had our own menu. I think I was full even before we got to the actual menu, because the hors d'oeuvres were plentiful! Had tuna tartre, wagyu dumplings, crab cakes, wagyu meatballs, and mushroom risotto...many times over. Had lobster bisque as a starter, which was good but creamier than I would have preferred. I was only able to eat so much of this before it became too much. Had our pick of different entrées, of which I picked the ribeye. Solid ribeye, well cooked. The butter that it served with definitely added to the flavor. The beef wellington though was absolutely insane as it was stuffed with foie gras, spinach, and mushroom duxelles. I've never seen a beef wellington go this extravagant! Sides were whipped Yukon gold potatoes, creamed spinach, truffled Parmesan fries, and mixed exotic mushrooms. I enjoyed them, but I had little room left at this point. By the time we got to the desserts, which was a dessert trio of chocolate pot du creme, classic creme brulee, and mixed berries with champagne sabayon, I had nothing left. Managed to finish it, but could barely enjoy it. So stuffed! Service was fantastic, as I would expect from having a private room. They kept bringing endless hors d'oeuvres and made sure we were well taken care of all night. A great visit and I wouldn't mind coming back. read more

Went here last night. The staff is very professional and polite. We got an amazing espresso martini and the devils advocate drink was good but very strong. We started with the wagyu beef dumplings which were amazing, I literally wanted to drink the leftover sauce. However after we ordered our entree I think we were forgotten about. We were waiting for our food for about 45 minutes and we had to ask another server the status on our food. They were very nice about it and brought our food out shortly after and comped one of our drinks but for somewhere so prized on their service it did feel awkward that they totally forgot about our meals. Nonetheless, my New York sirloin was delicious, honestly the best steak I've had in a while and the tater tots are so damn good and cheesy. The steak frites were also great. I really enjoyed this meal I just had to knock it one star because of the service since this is part of the experience you're paying for at a restaurant like mooo. We were given a gift card to enjoy here and we're excited to try somewhere new. You definitely need reservations as we made them about 5 days before and could only get bar seating! However, we weren't on top of other guests at the bar and could hear each other just fine. I'd sit there again! We were sat right away and greated right away. My husband got an old fashioned and said it was the best one he's ever had. I can't remember the name of my cocktail, but that was also nice. They immediately brought out delicious bread and butter. We decided to skip appetizer and go right for the meals with some sides. I got the wagyu filet medium rare and my husband got the New York strip medium rare. My wagyu came out extremely overcooked, I would say medium well-well done. When our bartender asked how everything was, I showed her the steak and they made it right and got me a new one. Normally I wouldn't have said anything, but it's a $120 cut of steak and my first time thing wagyu so I wanted it the way I ordered. There was no fuss and the next time it came out perfectly! It was very flavorful and juicy. I am now spoiled by Wagyu forever. The mashed potatoes were our favorite side, followed by the spicy broccolini! The lobster mac and cheese was surprisingly bland. Great food! I had the Beef Wellington and it was perfectly made. My fiancee had the steak frites and loved it. As for service, there were some high points and some low points. The valet was absolutely amazing, so friendly and so efficient. I sat at the bar and it took a while before anyone noticed me, took my drink order but I was never offered a menu. It was 5 PM. It was only moderately busy. They were empty seats at the bar. I ordered a beer and they gave me the check, and told me "no rush." I then asked for a menu and explained that I was waiting for someone and they made two place settings. My fiancee arrived and they completely ignored her for about 15 minutes. Weird. When they finally took her drink order and served it, it was made well. We then sat there for about 20 minutes before they asked if we wanted to order food, which we did. I expected to drop a lot of money here, and I was not wrong. All in, with tax and tip and parking was $756 for 4 people. This included 2 drinks and a moderately priced bottle of wine. Atmosphere and service are 5*, although the wine sommelier seemed disappointed that I choose my own wine rather than asking her advice. I was happy with my wine selection. The only negative thing I can say about the service is that they delivered one roll per diner, and when they were all eaten, a refill was not offered. 3 of us had steak and one had lobster. All of the steaks were perfectly cooked and extremely tender. I had the $95.00 60 Day Dry Age Ribeye. It was a good piece of meat with virtually no waste. At home we get boneless rib roasts and cut them up into steaks at about $13 per steak. Then I cook them on the grill. Mine are juicer and more flavorful, but not always cooked to perfection. I had never had a $95 steak before, so it was an interesting experiment. My conclusion is that it was not worth the money. Two others in our party got Filet Minion. My wife thought it was everything you could ever expect in a Filet, except that it was not warm enough by the time it got to our table. Our lobster eater seemed very pleased. I started with a Caesar Salad. The ingredients were all there, fresh, and high quality. However, the dressing lacked any of the traditional Caesar flavor. The anchovies were particularly large and of much higher quality than the canned ones at most restaurants. The Sea Salt Fries were good but not exceptional. Asparagus was very good. Everyone seemed to like the Roasted Mushrooms. I was very disappointed in the Bananas Foster. All the ingredients seemed to be there with the right consistency, but the flavor was totally lacking compared to Fosters I've had at other high quality restaurants. We also tried the classic roasted bone marrow, which was unique but I would have to say it was a bit too greasy and probably not my type. While the ambiance whispers of elegance, the food screams mid-range. Thankfully the drinks were stiff because a $29 burger is sacrilegious for the quality of the meat itself. Charred to hell on the outside and pink on the inside isn't fancy, it's robbery. Ketchup at the very bottom of a shot glass wasn't inviting for consumption, it inhibited it. Not to mention that the same burger was ordered twice and the amount of aioli differed vastly in each dish. Bar was crowded due to baseball game (Red Sox v Yankees) and about 1/3 tables were still occupied with diners. Hostess informed that kitchen closed at 830pm but we could sit at the bar for drinks and apps. She left to check for three seats at the bar and returned to say there were none and none were anticipated due to the game. No one seemed to be planning to leave until the game was over. We asked if we could sit at a table near the bar and limit ourselves to drinks and appetizers. We were informed that would NOT be possible. At the same time (now 850pm) a couple arrived and were informed by the same hostess that their table would be ready in just a moment. When I asked why they could be seated for dinner with the kitchen closed as we were informed, I was told that they were sent from the Ritz Carlton, who had called 10 minutes prior. When I asked if that same courtesy could be extended to us having arrived prior to them, the answer was absolutely no. This surprised myself, and my two guests quite significantly as that has not been our previous dining experience at this location and due to the hour and expected time that the restaurant would remain open due to the Red Sox game. This was my first time at the Burlington location. It's Mooo so it will be a bit pricey, and justifiably so (don't you hate high prices that don't match the quality?! Not the case here). Kim O. Was our server. She was extremely pleasant and attentive. Kim recommended pairings for my steak and was knowledgeable about both the wines/cocktails and the overall menu. We had the steak and lamb. Both were mouth watering. The vin cotto and mint jelly were perfect with the lamb. I dipped my steak in the sauce too (10/10 would recommend). I found this location to have more of a hip vibe. After much deliberation, we dined here for a wedding celebration as a party of 8. On a rainy Friday night, there were a good amount of parking spaces in the lot. And the entire experience was incredible. Our waiter was super nice, accommodating, and went the extra mile for all of us. Before I start with what we actually ordered, there's complimentary warm parker house rolls. With soft butter. Heaven. We started with the Grilled spanish octopus and the roasted bone marrow. The octopus was super tender and delicious. The presentation of the bone marrow was fantastic, but despite the size of the bone, there wasn't much for everyone at the table to get a proper taste. Each order of bone marrow is probably more appropriate for 3-4 people to sample. The marrow, though, had a good flavor and also a big fan of the roasted garlic. Definitely saved some of the garlic for other dishes. We also got two orders of the side flight that includes whipped potatoes, creamed spinach, mushrooms, and truffled parmesan fries. Every side was delicious, and the table favorite was the fries. Super crispy, and nicely salty from the parmesan. And now the steak. I ordered the Brandt Prime Ribeye, and my goodness it was probably the best steak I've ever had. I ordered a medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The meat was marbled and super tender, something you just can't get from any supermarket or casual restaurant cut of beef. Everyone at the table was super impressed with their steaks. It had a heavy cucumber flavor and I risked hoping it was subtle because I like mescal. The wait staff is very attentive. While the bananas foster wasn't the show you usually expect it tasted amazing and it was the best dessert. This was a $300+ dinner for us. It's definitely not a good suit for a light dinner. You will be quite full. It offers beef Wellington which is always fun to try. I personally liked theirs better than Ramsay's kitchen. The flavor was amazing. This is a beautiful place! It's a great alternative location versus having to go into the city and paying gif parking. Service is always very attentive. I sat at the bar given that I arrived about 2 hours before closing. Food- idk I wasn't impressed. I've visited a few times in the past and always enjoyed their food. This time it was meh! I only did appetizers Bc the meatball dish upset my stomach. On other visits I ordered the dry aged steak which i always enjoy with no sauce needed. There is a parking valet available, because those spots in front fill up fast. I was advised you can self park at the church next door, which doesn't seem too bad a walk... But the valet service is complimentary, remember to tip the nice fellow! If you give your valet card to your server before you leave, they will try to have your car waiting for you out front. Inside is definitely a cow theme - lots of black and white. There's a small seating area across from the bar to wait, but since they take reservations online that seems to be the most expedient way in. My server, Kevin, was very kind and informative. There is complimentary bread served with salted butter - curses, it is wonderful! The lobster bisque was more sherry than bisque, but the puff pastry it was under was delicious. It's definitely more adult of a bisque though. There were also real lobster meats in it. The meat was well seasoned and well cooked. It included a butter spread displayed in a bovine bone you could apply to your cut of beef. The special cauliflower was amazing, and the truffle not too overpowering. The mashed potatoes - mwah! Creamy, hot, lumpless, they were perfection. If you are dining alone or with one other person, the sides are HUGE and meant to be shared. They will give you paper to go containers, but if you're not in the area maybe have some more substantial ones. You'll want to try to save the sides for later. read more

Preface: we arrived half hour late to our reservation which we were admittedly aware and extremely apologetic. Because the kitchen was closing within minutes I inquired before being seated that we would be able to still order from full menu and receive the same service. The two hostesses were very friendly and explained they would be able to accommodate. Our party of six rushed to our table, sat quickly and soon met our waitress, Kathy H. The second she arrived, we could feel her eyes rolling, her annoyance with the fact we were late, and pretty much gave us this poor attitude by reminding us that the kitchen is closed. She continued serving us with forced politeness. While she eventually eased towards the end, by the time we had all our orders (which came out super quick) in front of us, half the party was so uneasy by the treatment that we had to take some of the food to go. I was both disappointed and embarrassed that I had recommended this place based on a positive experience the first time I was there. And now, unfortunately Moo just lost 6 customers. And the bill for the night was a hefty bill (to be expected at a formal steakhouse) but just as some of the other reviewers mentioned, we don't mind spending this amount, but we should be getting the service we are paying for. Overall, food was good; atmosphere is very nice, staff (namely Kathy) needs to work on being more pleasant. Initially greeted by Pat at the bar who provided great service and made a perfect Bombay Saphire dirty martini . Started with very fresh and tasty oysters and shrimp cocktail. Our steaks , prime sirloin were great. 1 au poire and one simply grilled. Sides of carrots, and onion rings were both fantastic. The dessert was also tremendous, chocolate cake that was way above ordinary. Assistant general manager, James Fava was a true gentleman and offered to help us with anything we needed. I didn't really liked the dark decor of the restaurant. I thought the Beacon Hill location was a bit more brighter. For appetizer, we got the roasted bone marrow to share. We ordered the tenderloin of beef wellington as our entrees and got sides of roasted mushrooms and creamed spinach to share. There was also complimentary rolls for the table. The rolls were sprinkled with sea salt and piping hot. The rolls were delicious! The roasted bone marrow came with grilled bread. It was good but not something I would crave to order again. The star of the show was definitely the beef wellington. Inside the beef wellington, there were stacks of foie gras, spinach, mushroom duxelles and the beef fillet. It was phenomenal! The side of Joyberry Farm roasted mushrooms was also good but the creamed spinach was way too small to be shareable. For dessert, we got the lemon tart to share. As for the atmosphere, I think they're going for edgy/modern and they're actually giving bat cave and eye strain. We ordered the Caesar salad, calamari, tuna tartar, the sides flight and of course some steaks. The calamari was 75% fried peppers and a calamari here and there (boo), the tuna tartar was okay, the Caesar salad was 7/10, the sides flight was decent and the steaks were just okay with a side of lemon zest butter (this did not add to the experience). This review will be as much a rant about steakhouses as anything else. Firstly, stated plainly, I am a steak aficionado. I pan sear ribeyes all the time and frequently indulge even at non-steakhouses, some of whom do a pretty good job. Now, for whatever reason, in the Burlington area we have about a half-dozen of them- Mooo, S&W, Bancroft, Eddie V's and a couple more. I think I've eaten at all of them. (Not to mention Morton's and Abe & Louie's in Boston). Here's my problem with steakhouses in general: I will avoid the word 'gouge' and discreetly use the word 'overcharge.' They know people are coming out for a once-a-year thing and so, take advantage of that fact. (Question - if they charged less would someone like me not visit more frequently?) So, Mooo. Pros - nice atmosphere, quiet, good service. ( We got a kick out of the guy who came over and told how excited he was that chef had told the staff his specialty with lamb was mint jelly. Seriously? My wife does that when she makes them at home.) My wife pronounced the lamb as 'up in the top ten,' the corn and mashed sides were excellent, albeit smaller than other ones I've seen. And the steak? I got the $95 bone-in dry-aged rib eye. The waiter advised it wouldn't look the same as a traditional rib eye. What he didn't advise is that it would be hard to cut (heresy!) And while very good, just was not great. And for 95 bucks it damn well better be. And it just wasn't. Disappointing. The tab for for six delicious oysters, rib eye, lamb chops, two sides, two glasses of wine? $320. Pre-tip. Thank God we didn't splurge for dessert or 2nd glasses of wine. Look, for me it's all about value. I don't care if I drop $400 on a meal once or twice a year but it had better be worth it. You're all Yelpsters, right? So if you're going to a steakhouse in Burlington/Woburn you have choices, lots of 'em. Number one rated steakhouse in this area? Eddie V's. Been there, wrote about it. Spectacular. Ditto Bancroft, both I believe in Top 5. Mooo? 16th. Would I return to Mooo if I felt the value was better? Why should I ? For their 6 oz Weygu that costs $190? Or their $275 (not a typo) Tomahawk for two? You can (and I have) get a 4-pound Tomahawk at Tuscan Kitchen (also in Burlington) for 85 bucks. You can buy THREE at Tuscan for the price of one. So, no, won't be back. I'll consult Yelp and Google reviews and go for the best value. While Mooo is very good, it just ain't the best bang for your buck. read more

After quite some time, we decided to dine at Mooo.... Burlington again with some friends for a birthday celebration. After a hard miss from our first experience, we were optimistic with how this experience would turn out. In the end, we actually had quite a pleasant time. Our servers, Kim / Kevin were great. They were very attentive and knowledgeable on the evenings menu / specials. Kim had a great sense of humor and provided exceptional service, tending to us an exceptional amount of times. Our reservation was at a later time / 8PM, and the restaurant was still fully housed. The ambiance was nice, but we feel like it could be that much better if they had a live jazz band or so like some nearby establishments have. We began our dinner with the Calamari, Sirloin Tartare, and Wedge Salad. The Calamari was great, cooked Rhode Island style with a nice fry. The Tartare nice as well. It had a very mild, yet subtle flavor. We were really disappointed that the Oysters Rockefellar was no longer on the menu but it wasn't a deal breaker. For dinner I had the Prime Ribeye cooked MR. My wife had the Faroe Salmon. My Ribeye was accompanied with the Madeira & Black Truffle sauce which turned out to be a very nice add on. We've experienced many times with steakhouses very poor sauces that are either overly salty, or similar to that of A1. Our sides were nice as well but nothing special. For our sides we had the Panko Onion Rings, Asparagus, and Whipped Potatoes. We wrapped up dinner with a few desserts being the Classic Creme Brulee, and the Bananas Foster. Our dessert was brought out with a little candle for the birthday we were celebrating. Our friends really enjoyed the desserts. On a side note, I was very excited to see that the Dry Aged Bolognese was now on the menu. We've had this item many times at the Boston location and it alone is worth the trip. We'll be returning here in the future for this item. read more

Came on for my birthday dinner with my wife on a Wednesday night. The service was fantastic across the board. The star of the night though was the food. They started with fresh bread and then we split the wagyu dumplings which were absolutely delicious. For our entrees my wife got the Caesar salad and I had the Australian wagyu sirloin. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered (medium rare) and was probably the best steak I've had in my life. I've been to most higher end steakhouses in the Greater Boston area, and this one is probably my favorite. read more
