The ambiance was really nice and the service was amazing. Usually at Brazilian steakhouses they keep bringing meat nonstop and you end up eating in a rush trying to keep up Here it felt much more relaxed and enjoyable. The buffet was super clean and everything tasted fresh. The meats were cooked really well, juicy without being overly burnt outside. Also it didn't feel like everything was covered in heavy butter because after eating we didn't leave feeling sick or overly full, which I really appreciated. We celebrated my husband's birthday here and they brought complimentary dessert. Everyone saying "happy birthday" when we walked in was such a cute touch and made the night feel more special. The inside is modern, spacious, and designed. Definitely one of the best Brazilian places we've tried around here. Pretty sure this is going to be our go-to spot now whenever we want Brazilian food.

Molten chocolate cake for my birthday. But my favorite dessert is the papaya cream!

I love the remodeled new indoor space. The salad bar is not in the middle of the restaurant. The candied lightly spicy bacon was yummy! The chicken salad was not included in the salad bar, but everything else was present. Service by Samuel was friendly and attentive.

Fogo de Cháo in my opinion is the epitome fine dining serving delicious Brazilian steakhouse food. The food is marinated and grilled to perfection. Their servers are quick as serving the meat straight from the kitchen oven to you quickly so that the meat is still fresh and piping hot. The quality of the meat is top notch. The selection is also abundant. The included all-you-can-eat salad bar, soup, bread is fantastic. Great selection of greens and salads, cold meats to choose from. While I am not a big wine person, I can see that Fogo de Cháo offers are wide variety of wine selection for its customers. They have newly remodelled the restaurant at the San Jose, Santana Row location and the ambience is magnificent. I have been to this restaurant location many times and this newly remodelled space is great.

The full churrrasco experience is worth it if you want to try different cuts of unlimited meats. They served pork chop, lamb chop, ribeye, top and bottom sirloin, roasted chicken, bacon-wrapped pork, grilled pineapple, Brazilian cheese with honey, and many more. Some of my favorites were the ribeye, pork chop, grilled pineapple, and roasted chicken. A few of the other meats, like top and bottom sirloin, were a bit dry and bland compared to the rest. In addition to the meats, the churrasco experience also includes access to the salad bar, which has a variety of salads, breads, fruits, cheeses, cold cut meats, and vegetables. I also tried the passion fruit caipirinha, which was surprisingly good. Cocktails can sometimes be too sweet or too strong, but this one was perfectly balanced. It had fresh passion fruit pieces and was refreshing. Our waiter was friendly and polite. Service was slow at times, but he still provided great service throughout the meal. Another staff member also came by to check in and ask if we needed anything, which helped make sure everything was going smoothly. There's a parking garage nearby that is free for the first two hours, but you will need to pay if you stay longer. Just remember your license plate number, since it's required when paying through the QR code app.

Im honestly sad to post this review, but unlike my other fogo experiences at this location and others, our last visit was a nightmare. I made reservations for a group of 6 for a Saturday at 3:30pm for their $39.99 special. We thought about a very late lunch so hoping less people. Got there at 3:15pm and checked in for our reservation. Our table wasnt ready at 3:30. A couple more minutes passed, and at 3:45pm we still werent seated. We were finally seated at 4:40 pm. A whole hour and 10 minutes PAST our 3:30 reservation!! Got seated to an empty table. No plates, utensils, water, sides. We sat for 15 minutes and no server. We went for the salad bar, got our own plates. Finally, 1 gaucho came. We still didnt have utensils! We had to ask for water, sides, and utensils - all at freaking different times. We had maybe 4 meats during the entire dining experience. At this point, i had just lost my appetite and wanted to leave. To make matters worst, i ask for the check and we were charged at the regular price instead of the $39.99 special - their reasoning: IT WAS DINNER TIME (not eligible for promo at dinner) and cut-off was 4pm!!! Im livid at this point. I explained what happened and that we wouldve qualified for lunch $39.99 promo price if it wasnt for their mismanagement of guests and reservations. Still, they didnt budge and we still paid full price. That was my Dad's birthday that we tried to make special. They had lost a loyal customer for sure....

Great food and overall experience. Service was attentive throughout the meal. My favorite meat was actually the chicken thigh/leg -- the skin was super crispy and the seasoning was on point. Second favorite was the picanha, which was very tender. I also really liked the variety at the salad bar. I was surprised to find papaya that was actually sweet and ripe, and the heart of palm was a standout too -- nice crunch and acidity that helped balance out the heavier meats.

Holy smokes. Best happy hour around. My coworkers had been raving about their Happy Hour for what seems like decades, so I finally went yesterday. It's taking everything in me to not go back today. Did I mention their happy hour is all day? Everyday? It's only at the bar/their bar tables so I wouldn't recommend that you go with a large group. Food was so good, filet mignon (8 oz, $17.50) was cooked to medium perfection. Lamb chops ($14) were juicy and tender with a fresh mint sauce. Empanadas were crispy with a savory picanha filling served with a chimichurri on the side. Might I add, as a sauce lover, I love the fact that almost everything came with some kind of sauce. The lobster and shrimp tacos were eh. And the heart of palm and spinach dip was yummy, and came with a soft bread that held the dip nicely. I appreciated that the bread wasn't so crusty to the point where the roof of your mouth hurt. Now here's the common issue where restaurants with great food tend to go awry: service, which is where the star is subtracted. While it wasn't the worst service I've ever had, it was real slow. At first it was quick enough, but after we had gotten all of our food, we hardly saw our server, so we didn't really get the chance to order more. By the time we got a hold of someone, we didn't want to order anymore. Which may or may not be a good thing. I should note it was busy, so we were understanding. So, it could be a management issue for not staffing more, especially since this happy hour seems to be such a hit. I hope they never get rid of this deal or change it because this alone will have me coming back over and over again.

My friends and I came here during the week for a birthday dinner. The ambiance is what is expected of a Brazilian steakhouse. As vegetarian, I only ate the salad bar, which was plentiful. Fogo is one of my friend's favorite restaurant so my friends enjoyed their dinner! The food seemed to come pretty regularly, so service wasn't too bad.

We had the best dining experience ever at Fogo De Chao. Our serve was Samuel and he was very respectful and constantly checked on us . Very helpful with the menu and made my boyfriend birthday dinner enjoyable . The food was great but the desert was the best ! I recommend having a reservation made if you do end up coming.

We're big fans of Brazilian steakhouses -- my husband and I have practically made it our mission to try as many as possible around the Bay Area. Unfortunately, Fogo de Chão ranks near the bottom of our list. We had visited years ago and decided to give it another chance for lunch today, but this visit was noticeably worse. We ordered the Indulgent Churrascaria Menu, which is essentially an upgraded version of the standard experience, including dessert and a choice of lobster tail, bone marrow, or crab cake. Naturally, I went in planning for the lobster tail... which they were, of course, out of. Shrimp was offered as a substitute, but I opted for the bone marrow instead, while my husband chose the crab cake. Credit where it's due: the crab cake was excellent -- easily one of the best we've had. That said, we didn't come to a Brazilian steakhouse for standout crab cakes. As for the main attraction -- the meat -- the selection felt limited compared to other Brazilian steakhouses, and much of it lacked flavor. The Parmesan pork, in particular, was extremely dry to the point where I literally spit it out. Gross. The top sirloin and flank steak were decent, but even those cuts are executed far better at competing restaurants. The bone marrow was just okay, leaning more toward slimy & gelatinous than rich & buttery -- unfortunately the least desirable bone marrow I've had. Service was also surprisingly inattentive. Water glasses sat empty for long stretches, and we frequently had to flag someone down for refills or to clear plates. The ambiance didn't help matters. The restaurant is currently undergoing construction, with plastic coverings and unfinished walls throughout. Even setting construction aside, there were visible ceiling gaps exposing wiring, and many mirrors and windows were noticeably streaked and dirty. Normally, great food and service can make us overlook these issues, but this time we found ourselves searching for positives -- and the surroundings only made that harder. Dessert, sadly, continued the trend. The chocolate molten cake tasted like it had taken a quick trip from freezer to microwave, and my husband's crème brûlée lacked the signature crisp caramelized top. Honestly, how does a crème brûlée miss the brûlée? All in all, this visit confirmed that we won't be returning. As longtime Brazilian steakhouse enthusiasts, we know how great this dining experience can be -- and for us, Espetus remains the clear favorite by a wide margin.

Good place to have a celebratory dinner. We had our reservations for Christmas Eve dinner. The place was buzzling but we were seated on time. The steak options were great and plentiful, and Jerrell our server did a great job with explaining the menu. I was not a fan of the salad bar, and it was a long and challenging walk ( due to crown ) to the salad bar from our table. Crème brûlée was not the best and did not meet my expectations. Overall I'll still give this place a chance, maybe on a lest crowded day. The service and ambiance were good.

We had a very nice dinner. Louis served us well and provided extra bread and plantains that were delicious. The manager also checked in and put in my request for filet mignon. It came out quick. It was a very pleasant dinner. Good salad bar spread too!

You can find parking on the street across the restaurant

Can I go at 2pm for lunch ayce on Friday?

Yes you can take advantage of lunch prices at that time frame. You can eat for as little as $18 per person

    Is this unlimitted steak?

It's supposed to be unlimited but the amount of times the servers come to your table, it feels limited

If You get the salad bar any one meat selection, is that one meat portion or as much as you want of that meat?

As much as you want and as long as your green circular card is facing up, they will keep on offering different kinds of meat.

    Solar, lunch, & dinner!

Is there a special new years fixed menu or pricing?

I just looked at that and it looked like fixed prices for the New Year's Eve, hope this helps

Is there parking? And can we come walking in?

There is garage parking near by, you can show up as a walk-in but I highly recommend doing a reservation to avoid waiting too long. This place gets pretty busy during the weekends and evenings.

In our group we had two kids and they were half price so $35

Does the $39 Best of Brazil include salad bar?

    It did, when we went.

You can fill it out yourself. They have preset options to circle and an option to provide a custom tip.

    Is it all-you-can-eat style?

    Yes!

Does the entry price include Market Table and Feijoada bar ? For example, does the $48 for Chilean sea bass covers access to the market table? Thanks?

To answer your second question it is yes. I went to the website to verify.

What's the difference between menus of dinner and brunch, ? Which one is better to attend?

Price point for sure as Dinner is $68 vs Brunch's $53. Meat selection is relatively the same but Brunch will serve Brunch-style items at the Market Table and Brunch cocktails. In terms of which one is better, that really depends on what you're in… Read more

The staff here are really nice and helpful too. They even give you complimentary containers of their salt rub. My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

Our waiter was especially friendly and helped us decide what to order. I really wish I could remember his name, as I'm posting this a bit late, but he was a huge reason why we had a great experience! Here's a quick rating on the food itself: Stuffed mushrooms (3.5/5): This was recommended by the waiter as a favorite among patrons. The mushrooms weren't bad or anything, but for some reason, it gave me combination pizza vibes that I wasn't expecting. It was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again personally. Bone-in ribeye (5/5): an amazing cut that was cooked perfectly. Exactly what you would expect from a good steakhouse. The compound butter was fantastic! Bone-in apricot glazed pork chop (3.5/5): this one may hit different for different folks. The pork was perfectly cooked and juicy, but the apricot glaze was definitely a little too sweet for our palettes. If you're looking for something more savory, I might try something else. But hey, sweet might be your thing too! Caramel popcorn sundae (4.5/5): we got this one complimentary for being our special day, which was a really nice surprise! And it was a full serving! This one was obviously sweet, but surprisingly more subdued than it sounds, which was really nice! Overall, it was truly a memorable night with great food. And though some things didn't quite work for our palettes, I can totally see that it may for others--so that didn't impact my ratings because they were still good--just not for us. That said, the care that we received on our anniversary was what truly made me land on a 5/5 rating. Definitely coming back for future special occasions!

They've raided the bubbles and brunch prices $10 since we were last here and truthfully that's not so bad considering how much everything else has gone up with inflation. We both definitely felt we got our moneys worth in caviar alone. And an addition they've added since we last dined here were crab legs. I used to comment that the one item I felt missing were crabs. The porchetta and beef Wellington still slaps. Very tasty. I finally tried the filet today with some chimichurri and it was tasty. Their oysters and shrimp were super fresh. The person shucking the oysters was working non stop. We appreciate the variety here. Much better quality than those popular Vegas buffets. Shout out to our server, Kimberly, who was also on point. Extremely kind, quick and courteous. Several years later and this place still hits it for us. I'm actually raising my original rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Sat at the bar again. Disclaimer is this is just my experience.... As we sat down we were greeted just fine. Ordered a couple cocktails. The wife received hers and about 5-8 mins later I asked for mine. Whether or not it was true the bartender said it needs time to set. Well you could have said it takes time while my wife was waiting to sip on hers(mediocre communication). We then proceeded to order the scallop appetizer. While the presentation was good. The scallops were rubbery and overcooked. A few mins later we had to ask to order some entrees. Key words "had to ask". I got the hot stone trio. She got the lobster risotto. We decided on indulging a little. While we were waiting I asked for a wine list... 5 minutes later I asked again different server finally got the list. No revisit. The food came. Still looking to order wine about 8-10 mins in a different bartender came in and asked, we ended up getting a bottle wine. The food: the hot stone trio, for $230, mediocre cuts of supposedly A5 Japanese wagyu. They were out of the Sanuki and said we'll substitute with an Oregon beef. Just not worth the money. The lobster was ok, the risotto was already cooled off, seemed like it was sitting. So for 2 of us with a $700 plus meal the service was not on par with other similar establishments. Combine that with food that was definitely not worth the $$$$, it is not a return for me. Including hosting business here. Not sure if they judged us cause we weren't all dressed up, due to just coming from the local movie theater or what, but service was not there, unfortunate.

Henry's remains one of the old-school steak houses I keep coming back to because consistency here…read moreis not marketing. It is culture. This visit, the Prime Rib was already sold out. At many restaurants, that would be a problem. At Henry's, it becomes a reason to test the rest of the grill. We ordered the Porterhouse and the Sirloin, both medium rare. The Porterhouse was solid: balanced seasoning, clean grill flavor, no unnecessary tricks. A lot of restaurants can do a good Porterhouse because the cut already has drama -- bone, fat, tenderness, presentation. But Sirloin is different. Sirloin exposes the kitchen. Especially that strip of fat running along the edge. If the grill work is careless, that fat becomes chewy, greasy, or wasted. Henry's handled it beautifully. The meat stayed true medium rare, while the fat edge was properly rendered, lightly charred, and full of beef aroma. That is real steakhouse skill. Medium rare lean meat plus properly rendered sirloin fat is not automatic. It takes timing, fire control, and experience. The baked potato was simple and correct. The salad was classic old-school steakhouse style. Dark beer still feels like the right companion here. Henry's is not trying to become trendy. It is not chasing presentation. People come here to eat steak, drink beer, and trust the kitchen. Prime Rib is still the ritual. But this visit proved something important: Henry's is not only a Prime Rib place. They know beef. - Dr. C Fire controlled. Fat rendered. Medium rare verified.
