Overall (A-) I have been a few times over the last few years but this time my expectations were exceeded. We went during lunch and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. I would recommend to go - but don't get the AYCe options - actually order food from the bar menu. Excellent and great value Food (A-) The food from AYCE was a B+ while bar ordered food was a A. So one of my daughters got the churrasco experience and enjoyed the house special and ribeye . The other meats were good but a bit salty. The salad bar was pretty good also. Especially the bacon. My boyfriend and I came for a special occasion. We had a reservation but still had to wait around 30 minutes for our table... the place was packed! In the meantime, we got a few drinks at the bar, which were very good. I knew going in that the food would be filling, but I truly wasn't ready for how often they would come by our table! They respect your space though if you flip your card to red, which means you don't want any food at that moment. I mostly kept mine on green since I wanted to try a bit of everything. Fogo is terrific. There's a meat variety here that can seldomly be found elsewhere. A couple of tips to consider to maximize your meal: 1. Come on an empty stomach. The food access that you have here is immense. Most people push the gamut to try as much as possible. You'll most likely leave feeling very full. That's the goal! 2. It isn't cheap to eat here so make good choices. As you're paying top dollar, eat that way too. Choose the meats that you'd otherwise not be able to try at other restaurants. Limit breads and other items that you can get elsewhere. 3. This might not be a popular comment, but I would advise against drinking anything but water. I have heard good things as a vegetarian about Fogo de Chao's market table and decided to take a chance on this Brazilian steakhouse. Probably one of the most memorable meals of my travels! The market table is a vegetarian dream - all sorts of salads, sides, cheeses. The pictures tell a better story than I will here. Notable the roasted apples/butternut squash, Brazilian potato salad, beet salad, roasted garlic, smoked provolone, street corn and fig jam scored very high in my book. Completely surprised by the vegetarian entrees - better options than some restaurants that aren't steakhouses! For a few dollars more, I decided to get an entree that includes the market table instead of just the market table. Did not disappoint - the cauliflower steak was perfectly breaded and seasoned (and enough for probably 3 meals by itself). The Xingu beer was light and fresh. Items served table side compliments of the meal were also enjoyable surprises. Fried bananas were a standout (and they sent me home with extra!). Mashed potatoes - which I typically don't like - were 11/10 - buttery, scallion-y goodness. Most wonderful about the experience as a solo diner was the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, including Moises who was willing to help me practice my Spanish, and the general manager and other servers who checked in on me and felt like a stand-in group of friends on my travels. We had exceptional service tonight at Fogo! I'd like to particularly thank Neal the bartender. She made us the holiday "milk and cookies" drink which was so festive and fun. We ordered before our table was ready and I was going to wait for the drinks but she encouraged me to go to the table and she'd bring it out. We did the Churrasco Experience which features unlimited meats, sides, and access to the market table. The market table had a diverse spread of items that were very enjoyable! The addicting cheese bread is also available at your table and our server brought out a dish of mashed potatoes, crispy polenta and caramelized bananas. The tableside meat service was pretty wide-spread; chicken, beef, pork, and lamb. My favorites were the Picanha, Fraldinha, Alcatra, and Bone-In Beef Ancho, and the cheese with honey. Maybe my expectations were too high but none of the meats were really that stellar. Enough for my to take a bite to try and that was it. They were either over salted, too bland, or too gamey. I can only say the parts I liked were the Brazilian cheese bread, corn bread, and some of the sides on the salad bar. Not worth $65. Waited for the picanha and it was ok. Definitely the best of all of them but still pretty mid. Service was really extremely slow (refills, wait times between meats, etc). The placing of tables also make serving the meat extremely awkward, with the servers squeezing uncomfortably close between customers. Overall pretty mid. My family and I LOVE Fogo. The service is always hit or miss at the locations that we have been to, and sometimes, it's a whole rollercoaster all in one day. We came on Sunday around 5 PM. They weren't super busy but plenty amount of guests. When seared, our server intrigued himself and we never saw him the rest of the time... my parents and I were joking that his shift probably ended but we saw him towards the end of our dinner and l was hella confused. Other servers took care of us. There was one server though that just started taking away things but we weren't done with them. As a server, you ask the guests if they're done with their plates... don't just take them when there's still food AND it's at the middle of the table!! RUDE, DARRIUS At the beginning, the meats were coming. I had 2-3 servers come up to us with picanhas and of course I'm gonna say yes to all of them. However towards the end when we ordered desserts, it took a good 15-20 minutes for it to come out :/ AND THE ICE CREAM HAD ALREADY MELTED IM SAD YO. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. The servers were diligent and present. They were a little sloppy and splattered blood all over my area and on my arm. It wasn't appealing. The food was good. I tried things I had not tried before like heart of palm. The asparagus was cold and the zucchini was soft and soggy. I didn't hate the food but I just thought it would be better. I rarely write negative reviews but our experience last night was so disappointing from start to finish. I would understand if the restaurant was full and they were busy but it was empty and only about a quarter full. We made a reservation and when we arrived there was no one at the front desk for about 15 minutes. More people arrived and everyone just kept looking at each other like what's going on? Finally hostess comes and takes one of the couple to a table and disappears for another 15 minutes. Finally she comes and we get seated at a table with no tablecloth (see pic). My husband commented maybe they ran out so no biggie but then we see a waiter putting on tablecloths on another table. Food: all the meats they kept serving us were cold and rubbery. They kept coming back with the same cuts even though we already said no; the meats were either overcooked or too bloody. The salad bar looked like it hasn't been changed for a while, nothing looked fresh other than the fruits. Service: inconsistent - we waited far too long between meat offerings. We had to tell them several times for specific cuts since they keep bringing the same cold rubbery meats. This place is not cheap so so you expect good service and food but that was not what we got. Also they tried to charge our daughter the full price when she's clearly under the age to be charged, all she ate was the cheese bread and bananas. We are regular customers and I don't know if we will come back anymore. We've had a couple bad experiences here but last night was the final straw. read more

Extremely disappointed with the quality at this location. I've been to several across the US and this for sure has been my worst experience. I took my entire family out for get together with expectations it would be similar to my past experiences but it was far from expectations. Almost all the meat was extremely tough, super bland, or overly salty. Service was incredibly slow as well, we had requested the picanha which did not appear till the very end of our dinner, while we saw other cuts like chicken breast come by countless times. Waiters were skipping our table with meats as well and were difficult to flag down. The salad bar was not very fresh either, majority of the fruit were not ripe and many dishes tasted like they've been sitting out for a long time. Only enjoyable part were the table sides, but considering how much it costs for an entire group, it is not worth it for just some sides. Brunch is currently $48.50 per person. Dinner is $63.50. If you do the ayce, make sure it's the Churrasco experience. Pro tip: if you see any kind of meat on the online menu that you want to try, just request it. Chances are they may not bring all of the meat around unless you ask for something specific. I took my son here for his birthday. I've been to other Brazilian steakhouses before and was familiar with how they work. Overall it was a good experience, however not great compared to other (non-fogo) ones I've tried in the past. Salad bar was standard with some good options to choose from but we were there for the Churasco experience. Meat selection was pretty much what you see at others. Wish the Picanha came around more often, however, if you ask a gaucho they are able to bring it over for you. Most of the meat was really good especially Picanha and top sirloin and sausage. Some was dry, regardless of the doneness you request them to slice for you. We were there for the red meat so can't speak much about chicken selections. Dessert was good. Coke zero I ordered was flat, both times I ordered it so unsure as to why. Wife had glass of the house Rose and Malbec and enjoyed both. Service was just okay. We went without drink refills for too long more than once considering we were seated pretty close to the server station and they weren't too busy on a Sunday night. Not that I really care, but seems the hostess could have been dressed more appropriately for the restaurant, but if a dirty looking flannel works whatever (but we did notice). Overall it was good, but don't think we'll be back unless in the area and for a special occasion. We had a party of 11 people celebrating a graduation and had an awful experience at the end of May. I contacted the manage and was given a gift card to come back. We thought we would try the Naperville location again. We went on Sunday, December 14 at 5:30, had 9 people and WOW. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I love me some good steak. I have been to my fair share of Brazilian steakhouses. Fogo, Texas de Brazil, Chama Goucha to name a few. My latest visit to Fogo De Chao left me a bit unimpressed. We had to wait a few minutes to get seated. It was a bust Friday night so I was glad we had a reservation. Ordered two bottles of red wine from Chile and they were fantastic. The salad bar at Fogo is really well done. They have a good variety of salads and antipasto. My main issue with Fogo is the quality of the meats. While the taste profile is good its overall a bit too dry. And the amount of chicken that they push is ridiculous. They should rename it Fogo De Chicken. Because for every steak that comes around 3 chicken dishes will come around. In fact it took about 10 minutes for the 1st beef to make it to the table. The reason for it is of course very obvious. They want you to fill up on cheaper chicken and pork dishes vs the more expensive beef dishes. But no one comes here to eat chicken. Also Filet is supposed to be on the menu but throughout our dinner it only made its way to our table once. While we still had a good time I would much rather goto a regular steak restaurant where the quality of beef is better and on most instances you have left overs for the next day. read more
