If you don't usually dance, I promise you will once you come here! They have great live music and the drinks are fun and inexpensive. I have yet to try the food but my guests and I always have a great time at Muchacho Alegre. They usually have private parties going on too in a really cute dining space there.

Molcajete beans and cheese marketed as mar y tierra.

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED! I am not a big seafood eater but I came here to try some of the molcajetes so we ordered the mar y tierra one, it came with beans, chicken, beef, cheese, onions and 4 medium sized shrimps, BIG MISTAKE, it had more beans and cheese than anything else and lacked any flavor at all, for $50 dollars I was really expecting much better, the service was excellent.

The food and beans were extremely salty!!! The quality of the food does not match how expensive it is.

We enjoyed the food very much. I had salmon tacos, and my husband had the seafood stuffed coconut. Both were delicious!

First off, the place is very nice looking - feast your eyes on the photos. Angled windows in front, nice table spaces, art at every table, a nice oil candle, and good enough lighting that you can read the menu without wrecking the intimate nature of a booth. The menu (photos attached) is loaded with good stuff. For an appetizer, we selected their Imperial American Wagyu Filet Carpaccio, which came with thinly sliced Wagyu Filet, topped with black truffle, king crab, kaluga caviar, panna grattato, and other tasty stuff. It was served on a white plate with bread, and was incredibly tasty. My wife ordered their Lobster Linguini (on the bill) or Linguini Aragosto on the menu. She enjoyed it very much, and even took some home. On the other hand, I went with their Butcher's Butter Spinalis which was a Ribeye Cap. It was very tender, very tasty, nicely seasoned and cooked as requested at medium rare temperature. With that, we ordered their Rosemary Potatoes, which were "family sized" (enough for two or three) and tasted great. We closed out with a cannoli which was two-sided with two different end preps, which was excellent. To work with all this, I needed a wine which would work for the seafood and the meat, so I selected a Grosjean Pinot Noir, which worked great with both. Service was very very very good - regular checks, food timing was good with each part coming out with enough time to easily finish it before the next course came out. Our waitstaff Ashley kept us watered, and even removed the cork from the wine using a wine key while standing. Nicely done! This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion, or just to go for a nice, relaxed meal. They do store their wine horizontally (like you are supposed to, see the picture) and keep it out of the sun. They also have a deli on the west end with reduced hours, so if you want something I'd suggest going there before you arrive so you don't miss it.

The fire pit in the middle of the restaurant and the fireplace in the porch-like portion are a vibe. I had the hummus trio, which had some really innovative and delicious flavors (a black bean option, a chipotle option, and some sort of balsamic thing I can't remember the name of but was my favorite). The pita bread they served it with was tasty. Everything else in our group looked delicious, too. They had been here several time and they love it. I'm not out this way very often (or ever), but if I were I would definitely come back.

Our waitress was so wonderful to start, she was attentive and offered some suggestions. We were taking some time to catch up, but we did order a few appetizers. This is when things took a strange turn... Our entrees started coming out, but the guys running the food didn't make any effort to clear our table or get boxes for our appetizer leftovers. So we had no choice but to put our empty plates on the table next to us - there truly wasn't any room and one guy giggled when I asked if he would take our appetizer plates. Our waitress came by shortly after and I said we asked for boxes and our plates to be cleared so we had room. She said she'd take care of it, which she did. After that, she was much less attentive. Finally, when it came to dessert... I asked for a recommendation, but unfortunately I was the only one who wanted a dessert at my table. I asked about taking it home, she told me the mason jar dessert couldn't be taken home and the others wouldn't last. I said okay forget it then. So no dessert was had and we were all VERY confused why our dinner went from stellar service to straight down the toilet. At least the food was good... I might stick to Hardware. It's a much more pleasant experience there.

I loved the vibe in here, very lively and fun. We came in on a Sunday evening, so I am very interested to see how it is when the DJ is in and the disco balls are in full motion. They did have tvs and music videos going off the entire time, which added the to the vibe. I loved everything we ordered. The drinks were AMAZING! I loved the fact you can get their cocktails on the rocks or frozen! definitely enjoyed the tamarind drink!! To start we were given chips and salsa, this is how I knew the food was going to be good. I could have drank the salsa to be honest! We had the sopecitos trio and it was delicious!! my favorite was the arrachera with the chimichurri- literally to die for. We also got the Molcajete leña y mar and it was spectacular. My mouth was watering as soon as it hit the table. It had a mix of everything the steak, chorizo, cheese, shrimp- I loved it all!! We weren't planning on getting dessert, but we saw that the churros came in the carrito and we couldn't resist! Such a cute way to present the dessert, really felt like a celebration! I will definitely be back!!!

She was friendly and attentive. She was amazing! The only slight negative during this visit was the wait. We showed up at 12 and there didn't seem to be anyone in the restaurant besides me and like 3 other people (maybe I was wrong), but it took a long time for my food to arrive... over an hour. If it was busy or maybe they were... but 1.5+ hours was a little long. I wish I could only dock 1/2 a star though because the service and food was amazing and I would be back for those two alone. Overall, I would be back in the future.
