Came for Mother's Day and were seated with Angie. We enjoyed her recommendations and appreciated her help with a couple of food mods. We were greeted with a couple of salsas and a seafood dip. I got the Pulpo al Ajo (it came with fries, rice, and lettuce and tomato on the side. My parents both got the Vuelve a la Vida cocktail, my dad asked for no imitation crab. They came with saltines and we asked for extra limes. There was a live singer, and she was great as well! She's apparently here Friday and Sunday nights. She kept things lively! Overall a great experience, we'll come back!

Camarones Diablo. I was skeptical about the fries but that were great.

This restaurant opened recently and did a fantastic job of remodeling the old Pizza Hut. The food is primarily seafood but there are other options. With the chips and salsa comes some ceviche and a spicy green sauce--both amazing. My husband and I had shrimp dishes that were done well. We were there celebrating a birthday and the servers really went above and beyond to make it special. Great experience all around.

First time here and we had a party of 13 on a Sunday evening. We made reservations and good thing we did because it was pretty busy. So I recommend reservations for larger parties. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I didn't realize that Sundays are live Mariachi night so it was pretty loud for a little while but after they were done the noise level dropped and it was back to normal. Our server Jesus was extremely nice and was constantly checking on us. All our orders were correct and he was great to talk to. Just an FYI their meal portions are very large. They serve everything from Seafood, Pasta, Tacos, Steak and Burgers. Their Tacos are very big. Double compared to other places. They also have a bar. It started to get very busy after 7pm so the noise level when up quite a bite. We will definitely come again to try their other menu items. Their prices are fair and the service is great.

My first time at this place. The food was very good along with the service. Music was prevalent. I'll be going back there again.

Coral sushi was really good. I was not a fan of the mango habanero shrimp, too sweet.

La Sierra was approximately a 35-minute drive from our home in the western suburbs. We arrived at approximately 8:30 AM. As we drove up my wingman John commented that he would not have come into this neighborhood or restaurant if I was not with him. Yes, the neighborhood was a bit rough (I grew up in Pilsen in the 1960's) but to me it felt like home in Chicago. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the hostess and waitress and told to sit-down anywhere we wanted. We chose a booth in the second room of the restaurant; the walls were covered with photos of Mexico and the smell coming from the kitchen was heaven. Our waitress quickly approached us for our drink order, she mentioned that they had Cafe de la Olla (made with piloncillo-unrefined whole cane sugar from Latin America, and cinnamon sticks) which we both ordered. The coffee arrived in a colorful Mexican traditional mug (just the way my mother used to make me). It was delicious! We then ordered our breakfast, which was Mexican Chilaquiles (a traditional, comforting breakfast dish consisting of crispy tortilla chips simmered in red or green salsa until slightly softened) with eggs, meat & refired beans. We were both in "Heaven", the tortilla chips were perfectly cooked with just enough "Crisp" to them. Just the way my mother used to make me on a weekend morning. My wingman & I both agreed that we will be returning and bringing our fellow foodies with us to try the other dishes offered!

There was a line when we got there (around noon) which I feel is usually a sign of tasty food. The tortilla chips were so yummy with a flavorful seasoning and delicious salsa. The service was quick and the food was great. While the interior leaves something to be desired, everything seemed clean and the food was great!

The parking looks awful until you spy the public lot just one storefront away. The interior is simple, which I prefer. Some cute knickknacks but not too much. The menu is the traditional Mexican fare, tacos, burritos, fajitas, plates, etc. Everyone should be able to find something to please them. The waitress was so sweet and helpful. They were doing a lot of take out orders and had my party and another couple dining in. She did great making sure we all had what we needed. We all started talking to one another so felt like dinner with a bunch of friends. My friends had the steak tacos and the Americano plate. Both really liked their items. The tacos were well filled and the meat tender and juicy. The plate had lots of steak on it as well as rice, beans, tortillas, etc. The sauce was a tad spicy but not overpowering for my non-spice liking friend. The star of the night was the Crazy Burrito. Massive burrito filled with shrimp, steak, fries, rice, guac and more. And when I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. Everything inside somehow all went together incredibly well. But each bite was different depending on what the ratio of the items was. Probably 1 of the top 3 burritos I've ever had. The steak, meat and shrimp were all perfectly cooked. Will definitely go back next time in Chicago.

The restaurant was clean, quiet, the bathrooms were clean, the cashier so sweet and patient--I couldn't ask for more! We ordered a asada burrito dinner, a chorizo burrito, and a large horchata to split. We were given a basket of chips and a delicious salsa that had flavor, but wasn't too spicy! The burritos were generously filled and had avocado! That's not something I see everywhere. The beans were a great consistency, the rice was soft and flavorful, and the horchata was top notch! It had a unique flavor, too, and wasn't watery. The cup also wasn't overfilled with ice! While we were patiently waiting for the burritos, we fell victim to the slideshow and decided we just had to try a gordita lol. It was SO good, but the portions were so filling we had to take the rest of the gordita and part of a burrito with. The tomatillo sauce was perfect and the red sauce had quite a kick to it, but not enough that it was painful. The food didn't NEED any extra sauce, but I like to try them, anyways! I wished I lived in this area so I could eat more gorditas, but I will definitely stop here again if I am around! If you're lucky enough to live in the area, please do support this sweet business!
