Has to be the best place in Yorkville for Mexican food. It may not look like it but it's pretty great quality to be honest. Que Brava is not one of these typical cluttered family owned and operated restaurants. For sure seems organized and competent. The prices are kind of high, which is the only bad thing. Coming in here the first time we got something that wasn't expected. It's actually a pretty clean place. There's tables that actually are cleaned off between customers if you can believe that. A good thing is there's alcohol. There's some other classic beverages too. Get agua frescas. They have horchata, and there's Jamaica which is made with hibiscus. But alcohol you have to get it of course. It's about $13 for a margarita. These come in a few flavors, some interesting ones. I got the Hibiscus Margarita. This is made with Grand Marnier, hibiscus tea, lime mix, tequila, and triple sec. Great thing was it wasn't as sweet as it sounded like it would be. The prices keep people from getting more. For sure the best stuff is the food. It's got a whole vegetarian section. A lot easier to order. It's about $18 for the tacos. These are a few tacos filled with mushrooms, peppers, and zucchini. Comes with sides of rice and beans. Pretty filling. Also they have the other usual classics. There's quesadillas, tortas, and more stuff. Great place as far as taste and authentic flavors. It's closed Tuesdays. There's meaty options as well as a few things for vegans and vegetarians. read more

Didn't seem too packed. Got seated right away. Service was good and always got checked up on. Got drink orders put in right away. Atmosphere of restaurant was nice. Got served with chips and salsa. Salsa was super good and full of flavor. 9/10 For meal I got two shrimp tacos with a side of rice 6/10. The pig slices of veggies were just making it difficult to get that one bite one after another. The shrimp itself didn't have much flavor, neither did the taco. Seemed like it needed some seasoning. The salsa helped but would like more in the taco itself. Rice was good though nothing crazy. Was in the mood for some Mexican food and this location was close to my work. I came in early for lunch and the place was empty. I was seated right away. The place was clean and had plenty of seating. I was greeted by the server who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and food. All foods are fresh and of high quality. I was first provided with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and warm but the salsa was only okay. It wasn't spicy and tasted more like a tomato soup. For my entree I got the Al pastor burrito with a side of rice and beans. The burrito had a good ratio of meat and filling. The al pastor was beautifully flavored. You can taste the hints of pineapple which was delicious. I really enjoyed the food here. The other items on the menu looked intriguing enough for me to want to check out this place again. Ordered carry out from Que Brava from the first time and I'm extremely impressed. My family and I are always searching for great Mexican cuisine in the Oswego-land area since we normally have to travel to the Aurora/Naperville area for good eats. I was intrigued by the authentic offerings on the menu and had a really hard time choosing between the slopes (definitely trying those next time) or the chile relent. I opted for the taco dinner with 2 steak and one chile relleno with cilantro and onion on their homemade corn tortillas. The rice and beans were great and super fresh tasting, the steak tacos were seasoned perfectly and the meat was super tender. The chile relleno was good, compared to other chile relleno tacos I've had, Que Brava's are definitely 'pepper' forward instead of tasting mostly cheese. I actually enjoyed this but they were just a tad dry, definitely need to add some of the delicious salsa verde on top, but they were phenomenal. We also ordered the small 12oz chips and salsa which was great as well. I almost forgot about the octopus tostada! This was such a light a refreshing dish that is definitely going to be a staple re-order whenever I come back. Since this was a carry out order, I can't really speak on the dining experience but I'll definitely be back to dine in. It's decorated super nicely and is very clean. The cooks and the servers are some of the nicest people I've ever met too. Absolutely incredible. This is one of those unassuming strip mall finds that will fully blow your mind. The staff here genuinely care--we had multiple people check on us during our visit (unobtrusively). They were quick and eager to help, and our server was informative, friendly, and engaging. But oh, the food. I'm just going to talk about my meal because it was truly one of the best meals I've eaten out in a very long time. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender with a good snap, not at all rubbery or mush. The veggies all had good texture and flavor, and the side plate with the additional sides was a great idea. It let the skewer on its bed of rice stand out. I was surprised and, not gonna lie, delighted at the tableside service: he removed the skewer neatly, poured the lemon butter to my taste, and ladled the rest of the sauce into a small dish in case I wanted more. I also want to mention the menu: they've got a fantastic variety and our server highlighted the quality of their beef and that they make everything fresh to order. Also, they make their own tortillas, too. I'm not surprised at the care and quality because it shows very clearly from the second you're greeted at the door. David was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the details of the menu and gave great recommendations. This little nugget is a hidden gem! Went here for dinner last night based on amazing reviews on the Nextdoor app. Wow! The food was absolutely the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life. I had picadillo enchiladas and my hubby had a steak burrito. Both were delicious! The service was excellent. We were treated like royalty as soon as we walked in the door. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place! My mom & I went for dinner around 5:30 and were seated right away. Our waiter, Angel, was so freaking friendly, funny, and obviously enjoyed his job. When my mom spoke up about her dairy allergy, he took extra precautions to ensure she wasn't served anything with dairy. ALSO the chef came out to clarify her order and expressed some alternatives she could have to replace normal items. The staff was so accommodating and patient in ensuring her allergy was addressed. We've had Que Bravo's food twice now. Once for take out and more recently for dine-in. The to-go order was 100% correct (orders for four people). The food at the restaurant, burritos, was perfectly prepared. I was impressed with the service we received when we ate there. We were the only people dining in, but still very attentive and friendly. The food is SO good and very authentic!! Warm salsa, piping hot food always cooked perfectly. I'd give Que Brava 5 stars for a small business - but it's quite busy every time we go there so the cook (also the owner) gets a little backed up & the wait is longer - but still worth it. We also wished they opened a little sooner. The hours are inconsistent sometimes.
