El Chile is located in Plano, Illinois; the outward appearance is minimal, as is the interior decor. However, the food and the service is excellent. Our waiter was very helpful, and very patient; I should mention he did not speak English well but he was trying to hard to accommodate us it didn't matter. I only wish I spoke better Spanish and perhaps this is something I need to work on for myself, but no matter: he was very attentive and very nice to us. The chips & salsa were presented first and the salsa OH MY GOD THE SALSA. OH MY GOD THE SALSA I have never had better salsa in my life. Thick, rich, full of flavour and bursting with spice and heat; it was absolutely delicious, and I couldn't get enough of it. Yes, it burned the roof off my mouth but who cares; it was incredible. It was clearly made from scratch using fresh ingredients and the care and attention to it was well noted. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were incredibly delicious as well: hot, perfectly seasoned and my only complaint is that I should have ordered more of them! Hot diggity dog! There was a tray of wonderful dipping sauces presented with the tacos as well; I don't recall the different types but they were all tasty and delectable. The salsa was so good my client and I ordered a tub of it for each of us, to go...and I'm sorry to say it didn't last very long once I got home...oh my god, it was good! I heartily recommend El Chile and it is definitely WORTH THE TRIP.

Que Brava is not one of these typical cluttered family owned and operated restaurants. For sure seems organized and competent. The prices are kind of high, which is the only bad thing. Coming in here the first time we got something that wasn't expected. It's actually a pretty clean place. There's tables that actually are cleaned off between customers if you can believe that. A good thing is there's alcohol. There's some other classic beverages too. Get agua frescas. They have horchata, and there's Jamaica which is made with hibiscus. But alcohol you have to get it of course. It's about $13 for a margarita. These come in a few flavors, some interesting ones. I got the Hibiscus Margarita. This is made with Grand Marnier, hibiscus tea, lime mix, tequila, and triple sec. Great thing was it wasn't as sweet as it sounded like it would be. The prices keep people from getting more. For sure the best stuff is the food. It's got a whole vegetarian section. A lot easier to order. It's about $18 for the tacos. These are a few tacos filled with mushrooms, peppers, and zucchini. Comes with sides of rice and beans. Pretty filling. Also they have the other usual classics. There's quesadillas, tortas, and more stuff. Great place as far as taste and authentic flavors. It's closed Tuesdays. There's meaty options as well as a few things for vegans and vegetarians.

After we sat down at a cozy spot in view of the kitchen, the cook even greeted and welcomed us. This feels like a family restaurant. There were only 3 people there, the server plus a man and a woman busy in the kitchen. Great service throughout our meal as well. The first thing we noticed was that the salsa was warm. I really enjoyed that! We ordered a large horchata and the size was very generous-- that was appreciated. We started with the very fresh and tasty guacamole. We had the Carne Asada and the chicken enchiladas in mole. We decided to try a single taco as well and check out their el pastor. Everything was delicious from start to finish and their pastor is on point! It's hard to find really good pastor. We did not have one thing at this place that wasn't delicious and by the time we finished both the cooks had come out to thank us and ask us how everything was. Everyone was so kind, friendly and polite and the place was very clean. What a GREAT restaurant with wonderful people and excellent food. Highly recommend! It's really not often that I bother to review restaurants anymore. It looks clean and modern inside, with a theme of luchador wrestlers. Has pretty good prices on most items. There's of course the margaritas, as well as lots of entrees and specials. A lot of the places in this town are pretty old and worn out looking to be honest. It's rare to find something that's hip and interesting. The menu is pretty big and there's tons of things to choose from so everyone can find something. Maybe it's not quite all authentic but it's close. The food is pretty simple while having lots of flavor though. It's about $7 for a margarita. We got a couple of these. I got the mango one. You can also make these spicy with the habanero added in these. It's about $12 for the Taco Dinner. These are a few tacos and you choose the proteins. We each got these with the vegetables. Also choose the toppings such as cilantro and onions. There's an additional charge to get avocado, which adds flavor and makes it more satisfying. Also comes with beans and rice, which can be mixed in. There's also burritos if wanting something other than just tacos. Great addition to a town that doesn't have a lot. It's closed Mondays. This is also one of the few restaurants around here with plentiful options for vegetarians.
