We ordered from here because of the raving reviews. Nice cute spot in downtown Plano. However it went south went it made me and the other two people that joined me for dinner sick. We ordered the Suizo Steak burrito. The cheese on top had a weird smell the day after. Thankfully we ended up throwing most of it away. I would not recommend this spot. Clearly, the ingredients were not fresh and therefore made me and my family sick. Shame on you. read more

As an Auroran, who is a huge Mexican cuisine fan, Bien Chido just understands how to make great food. This restaurant beats anything I've tried in the West Suburbs of Chicago. Bien Chido is one of a kind. Every time you take a bite into one of the items from their menu, you see the face of God (I might of exaggerated that haha). First - the chips and guacamole - 4/5 - You can tell the guacamole was made with love. The chips kind of remind me of the Chili's chips which isn't a bad thing. Second - Beans and Rice - 2.5/5 - Nothing too special about these two items. The beans are pretty plain and the rice is "aight." Third - Tacos and Burros - 5/5 - I would give more stars if Yelp would let me. Their burritos are honestly the best I've ever had and I'm a tough critic with Mexican food. I would recommend the Capitalino Burro Chido or Takos Bien Chido (which I believe consists of bacon, steak, and some other meat along with cheese and veggies on the side). Fourth - Horchata - 5/5 - Some horchatas are too "watery." Some can be too sweet. But their horchata is just right. The only critiques that I can give Bien Chido is that the restaurant is pretty small and the service can take a while on a busy day (duh). Other than that, keep it up Bien Chido. We stopped in to pick up some dinner after receiving recommendations to try this place. We were not disappointed! We love tacos and burritos and love trying new joints to call our favorite. A bonus was that the girl that helped us on the phone and in the restaurant was very friendly and patient. The veggie buro, Steak Tostada, Steak Tacos, and all of the sauces were delicious. Delicious! We got a couple of tacos and the fajitas, they were both really tasty and seemingly very authentic. I highly recommend this place if you want good Mexican food. Blown away by the meal here. Was ultra surprised on how good the food was. Tacos were spot on rice was delicious. Format is a bit weird, you order and then get your food served. Rice is deceptively small, but the right amount. It's spread a few grains thin over a large area. read more

Wow! I couldn't believe all the 5 star reviews, but after eating here, I concur... This is a five star place. There are so many Mexican restaurants in the area, but trust me; this one is worth the drive into Plano. Blink and your might miss the small store front restaurant. Don't let the small, old exterior sway you. The interior is nicely remodeled and the staff was very friendly. As others mentioned, it's a bit confusing dining in. You will be seated with a menu, but head up to the counter when you are ready to order. We started with the chicken nachos. They were nicely plated. The chicken was phenomenal- nicely trimmed and grilled to perfection. I loved the enchiladas in mole. Great flavor. My daughter was thrilled with her quesadilla. My husband had the al pastor burrito. I tried a bite- again, delicious quality meat. Prices are very low- very competitive with other restaurants, giving them an edge because the food was just incredible! read more

We couldn't believe we found such a nice independent place in the middle of nowhere, IL. This is like stumbling on a great big city mexican place while strolling through the woods. Our favorite memorable element was the fresh drink options. Horchata, hibiscus, and pineapple, all excellent and free refills. Not to say the food wasn't great. The only negative on our visit was the water dispenser, and it was really more humorous than negative. It was a jug on the service counter with a small plastic valve that was so tight I thought for sure I was going to break it on opening and closing. This was months ago so I assume it must be rectified by now, but it was just a funny element. I hope the locals frequent this place to keep it afloat, I'll certainly be back next time we make it down to visit Plano. read more

We went here based on recommendations off Yelp and that of co-workers and it was as expected. The place doesn't have air conditioning or WiFi or a proper sign/board out on top of the establishment and the seating is cramped, however what it lacks in amenities it makes up in food. We ordered the Platillo Bien Chido (chicken, cheese, egg etc.) that came with rice and beans and a 3 Taco platter (2 steak, 1 chorizo). Everything was salty, however the highlight was the dessert which was a refried ice cream big enough for three! Overall good service (although a bit slow) and food. read more

I don't live near here, but if I did I would be one of their regulars. As it is, I would seriously consider making the 40 minute drive at least a couple times a month. The food is absolutely outstanding! They give you four different complimentary salsas to go with the homemade chips. Each one was great, I couldn't pick a favorite. I had a steak taco and a shrimp taco. Without a doubt, the best I've had! So flavorful! So delicious! Taco place in Plano....with crazy good food. Nah couldn't happen. Until it did. Bien Chido's food was out of the this world! I've gone to Bien Trucha in Batavia several times....the food at Bien Chido far surpasses Trucha in taste and quality (and without out the pompous servers and attitude). The waitress brought us bowls of so freshly made tortillas chips, that we had to give them a few minutes to cool down. The salsa was fresh with a just enough kick. The enchiladas and tacos we had (pastor, steak, chicken, carnitas, and chile relleno) were the best we've ever tasted. By.Far. Kiddos had the cheese nachos, and they were amazing! It was topped with a house made special cheese blend sauce. Yum! The service was outstanding. Such kind and thoughtful people, small unpretentious restaurant, with out of this world food. This place is very small inside and out but it's actually very nice. I'm a big fan of salsa verde. They're bigger and expanding but this place is on par. I ordered two chorizo tortugas and an order of chips and salsa to go. They tortugas (tortas) were great. Arrived home still warm and I actually really like the containers. I wasn't a fan of the sauce; it was like mayo with salsa or something. It wasn't overwhelming and you couldn't taste it but I've never had a torts with that type of sauce. Kind of wish I'd known about it ahead of time but next time I know to ask them to not add it. The chips were fresh. Not greasy. The salsa was good. A little spice and a lot of flavor. The waitress at the restaurant when I went to pick my order up was very sweet. Inside it's small but lively. If you haven't tried them I highly recommended the chips and salsa. I think this place could be great, but the menu does not make it very easy to decide what to order. My second time here I went with the steak fajitas which were excellent, the chips and salsa are great, the 3 sauces vary from cool avocado based to smokey with a serious kick. This review is less about the food and more about the service. My fiance and I placed an order for delivery at 8:33pm. Well it's 10 and I haven't received the order. Tried calling and nobody answered. I dont understand as to what went wrong considering we got a confirmation text making sure everything was good to go. So excellent! I had the steak tacos and a green tamale. My husband had the shrimp tacos. My son had the guacamole and steak quesadilla. I tasted it all and couldn't choose my favorite. My husband says this is his new favorite restaurant in our area and I have to agree. The restaurant is clean and has cute modern decor. It feels like a restaurant you would find in Chicago. Food quality and flavor was great. Oh and the salsa they serve before your food arrives is fresh and has beautiful flavors. One of the best places I've had in a while. I travel a lot for work and have an affinity for Mexican food, so I've tried alot of places. The chimichanga was top notch. My son had chicken enchiladas with green sauce and cleaned his plate all the while saying how it was "fire". The only disappointment was my girlfriend had enchiladas with red sauce. The sauce had a different taste than either one of us are used to. The sauce was over sweet, couldn't put my finger on what it was. We will all be back though, but not order the red sauce on the enchiladas next time. read more

It was the favorite Mexican restaurant around the area. I called last Thursday and ordered 4 quarts of salsa but asked that they be put in glass containers as I was taking them up north for a party. The young girl there said even if she had to go out and personally buy those jars she would make sure I had them for Sunday. I went in to Bein Chido Friday with a guest and had lunch. Again, I was told that they would have my order ready for pick up. I made sure they had my name and phone number and that I was getting the glass jars for Sunday pick up. Imagine my surprise when I got there Sunday and was told that they no jars and further more had no order for me. They did tell me that if I ran to the store and bought a container they would gladly put salsa in it. There's salsa is the best in town!! We prefer it to any around. What a way to do business!!!
