Delightful young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful in this cute little shop. There is seating both inside an outside. Donuts were very tasty and clearly freshly made. Scones while tasty were not a traditional scone as they had a different consistency and an icing coating on them. More like a large cookie than a scone. read more

was in town looking for a constable because it says 'Sandwich Police' on the cars and there's a long story with a tiny chuckle at the end of it in there somewhere... anyway, I figured this was as good a spot to wait as any and I could get coffee and a treat while I was here. so I spaced on the coffee due to a case of kolacky, well eight actually: two each red, yellow, dark blue, and kinda orangey (but not orange) and they were so good! these kolacky are not airy little poofs but treats of weight and substance and full of delicious calories!! but if you want something light and dainty a marble doughnut is just the thing!! it's black, it's white, it makes people happy and goes equally well with milk or coffee. read more

Absolutely THE WORST Paczki I've ever had!!!! $48 for a dozen and they are inedible. VERY DRY, like they sat out all night uncovered. Update: The owner, Angie, responded to my message regarding the poor quality of the Paczki. Her response was, that She was sorry that they weren't up to my standards, and that she would suggest that I go somewhere else for them next year. I had also mentioned the price she charged in relation to the quality that I received. To that, she responded, "I'd be happy to have you come in and give you a lesson in economics. It is not cheap to run a small bakery." I responded that given her attitude and rudeness I would have no other option than to post an honest review. She said, "If it makes you happy to bring people down, I cannot stop you." The Paczki's are now bagged up and on the curb awaiting trash pickup. read more

Three of us friends were on a "ladies' trip" to the area this week. We found Angie's on Yelp and was thrilled to find such a gorgeous store front! The place is absolutely adorable. The presentation of baked goods is lovely ! It's clean and appealing. However, and this is a big however, I we had two large complaints. First: three of us ladies purchased several items of different varieties to take home, but we each ate one in store together first. We agreed the donuts were just "ok". We did request to speak to the manager about the REALLY weird tasting banana bread. Our concern at that moment was that they had forgotten to add bananas and wanted them to know that maybe there was a faulty product they may want to pull from the case. We were very kind and had good intentions. We didn't ask for a replacement or refund. The manager was very defensive. Refused to believe anything could be wrong. She assured us that it DID HAVE BANANAS bc someone had made it 2 days prior. (So that didn't seem like a good point of refutation but did make us question the freshness). She did offer a replacement piece of banana cake, but who would want one?? It tastes funky. We nicely declined. Then, she went directly back to her workers where they blatantly talked bad about us behind the counter. Very unprofessional and rude. Second, mostly all the items look better than they taste. The donuts were tough, the cake pops and macarons were dry and tasteless, the dipped Oreos had a weird wang to the coating, and the banana bread tasted like flour dough. The lemon and key lime bars were pretty good tho. All in all, it wasn't a good experience. Make the trip over to Ottowa for Steve's Bakery instead. read more

I came here twice actually. The first time I ran in real fast in hopes of finding a cupcake for my daughter's 1st birthday pictures. Sadly that morning there was only one cupcake there and it was just a plain chocolate frosting and I was looking for something more fancy. When I came for the grand opening today they had a ton of beautiful cupcakes so I wanted to make sure that was noted. Clean store. Beautiful big accent wall. Love what they did with what used to be my favorite place to go before a movie to get my candy stash and coveted glass bottle cokes. I got two of the $1 drinks per the promotion going on - the Vanilla Cream and a Mango Peach smoothie for my husband. The vanilla cream was super sweet and tasted just like a vanilla cupcake. I highly recommend this for the kids. The smoothie was also tasty. I found a little box of pretty things while waiting and although there was no price on it I was feeling dangerous, so I bought it.... It was $20!!! I was very surprised! This is A Lot for me. Since it was the grand opening and my drinks were only a buck each I decided to not let myself dwell on that too much and hoped it would be the best damn box of mystery treats ever. There's s a picture included. The two larger circles are chocolate covered Oreos. For me these weren't my favorite. Too much chocolate not enough oreo and it was very hard. The little balls were cake balls- yum . The square was a crunchy rice crispy thing - little peanut butter in there somewhere? Last, you have your standard chocolate pretzel rods. You can't go wrong there. Worth $20? Not to me. I was really hoping those bigger circles or the square was a chocolate cheesecake or something for what I spent but I also don't buy this kind of thing often and maybe that's an average price- I don't know. In a smaller town like Sandwich I feel most folks aren't real spendy and would also find this little box expensive for what you get. BUT that's just my opinion. The last thing I got was a chocolate chip muffin. It's beautiful and looks mouth watering. I can't wait to savor it on my way to work tomorrow, by myself, kid/muffin thief free! I hope it's as good as it looks. They have a lot of really yummy looking things there and coffee drinks too. I remember they had a bunch of donuts when I was there that Saturday morning for those pictures and they looked very very good. read more

Unrelated to the food. stopped in yesterday to get a few sweets and was greeted by the owner without a mask. you are the owner set a example and wear a mask. i dont understand the people in this town that just cant wear a mask. And as a owner of a food business you should 100 percent wear a mask. i walked in with one on to protect the people that work there the least they could do is put a mask on to protect their customers. it does not take much and its recommended in the state to get through this. read more

They've got some amazing bakery stuff and coffee here! Everyone who gets something always loves it. Very clean and professional. I'm always glad to see businesses with dairy free options like unsweetened almond milk for weird people like me and my wife. I wish they'd offer real honey for the lattes, it would make me stop by a little more often. We drove 30 minutes to try this place out. Lots to choose from. Very attentive and patient staff while we looked over all the sweets. Bought a lot of things from them to try. Some we enjoyed and some we didn't but not cuz they weren't good, just our personal preferences. I woke up this morning after listening to Jim Gaffigan talk about Tim Horton's. I knew I wanted doughnuts. Timmies is three hours from here. So I went to Yelp. While I could of went to other shops in Oswego, I wanted something better. I was not disappointed. The selection was great and EVERYTHING we got was AMAZING!! Best bakery within 35 minutes of Oswego. Ordered a birthday cake for an 84th birthday. When we went to pick it up it was not made and there was no order form for it. The person remembers the conversation for the cake but it was never made. Im glad we stopped in at Angie's sugar buzz. What drew me in were the beautiful Christmas decor in front. As soon as we opened the door the smell was delightful. The place is so cute. We drove past Angie's Bakery while on some crazy adventure called the "100 Mile Yard Sale" or something like that. I insisted that, if we passed by again, we had to go inside. Well, this crazy route we followed has us pass by 2 or 3 times and then I more or less demanded that someone stop the car. This bakery is super cute inside and has an endless display of baked items for sale: doughnuts, cookies, danishes, muffins, cupcakes, etc. We picked a lemon square and a cheesecake-filled doughnut to share. Absolutely amazing baked goods here - that lemon square was the BEST ever. In a small town, I always feel it's unpredictable whether something will be mediocre because there's nothing else around, but Angie's easily beats the competition in nearby larger suburbs in all areas of greatness: price, quality, and variety! read more

Thank god they're not in Naperville... yet. I made a special trip from my first stop yesterday in Oswego and immediately fell in love with the concept of a great "sugar buzz" hangout. I would be in more often if I was nearby. I took home a pistachio muffin, blueberry Danish and the signature Scotcheroos.
