Spirit free beverage and my partner's beer in the background.
Cecilia M.

My partner and I visited The Fog Room on two separate occasions to check out the rooftop view. While the view is nice and the location is convenient if you are staying at the hotel, the actual experience was disappointing both times. The service is absolutely slow, and the environment is not relaxing at all. It has a loud, chaotic bar vibe. Even sitting outside, it was so loud that I could barely hear my partner speak. During our first visit, the server told us our table was only available until a certain time and tols us we have to move. It made no sense why they made us move when they are a business getting paid. To make it worse, I noticed absolutely nobody sat at that table after we left it. Completely pointless and frustrating. We gave it another shot later that evening because my partner wanted a beer. Since I do not drink alcohol, I was glad they could prepare spirit free beverages.. but my drink was mediocre and quite pricey, and I was told no coffee was available. We didn't want a full meal but decided to try some dessert, only to be told they hadn't had dessert available for two days. I guess if you don't want to leave the hotel and don't mind noise and super slow service, this place is for you. They have an extensive list of alcoholic options if you're into that. Staff wasn't really friendly though.

Definitely come here for the views. Slightly obscured by buildings but the open air deck is quite nice on a clear and sunny day.

The vibe was super cute inside, and the outdoor seating wasn't cold at all it had an incredible view. I didn't know what to get so I just asked the server a recommendation and gave her my preferences and she picked my drink for me and I ended up really liking my drink. Their drinks have a good amount of alcohol in them. My friends got the chai martini and espresso martini which they liked and said was very strong.

Beautiful space, good music, service was great. View was beautiful but depending on your preference of the view for a "roof top" it's a bit restricted. We ordered drinks-old fashion and a cosmopolitan. For food totnacho delicious chipotle chicken, cheese, beans, corn, and tots with a side of sour cream and guacamole.

Great selection of food. The seared Ahi was fresh, tasty and a good portion. Always great service here. Friendly staff and super helpful. The vibe is mid-century modern with some indoor and outdoor seating. Great views of the city, water, and ferry traffic. Definitely recommend for a cocktail and a bite to eat.

Had a late-night drink date with my hubby here, and it was perfect. We didn't make a reservation but managed to snag a table outside. The servers were all super nice, and the city view from our table gave off that quintessential "I'm in Seattle" vibe. I ordered an Old Fashioned--and ended up having three. The first one was great, but I noticed the taste varied slightly with each round, which I learned was due to different bartenders. As someone who orders Old Fashioneds often, I can say they know what they're doing here. I'll definitely be back for a quick drink date and some relaxed chit-chat.

Fog Room is located on the 16th floor of the Charter Hotel, and it has such a cool vibe with some of the best views of the city! I'd highly recommend for date night after dinner if you're looking to keep a good time going. Fortunately, my partner and I stayed at the Charter and through AMEX, we had a $100 credit per night, which we could redeem at Fog Room. I booked a 9:30 reservation through Resy, and the experience was seamless from start to finish! We were greeted, ID-ed, and seated at a high top table for two close by the bar area, which had amazing views of the city. Service was quick, and we were told upfront to save room for the complimentary birthday dessert. I appreciated their attention to detail, especially since the purpose of our trip was to celebrate the occasion. We ordered the half dozen raw oysters, chicken wings, and two cocktails. While we waited, we took pictures outside on the patio and by the time we were done, our food was waiting for us at the table. The oysters were so fresh and flavorful, and I received more than six since they were on the smaller size. For dessert, I had the option of either the carrot cake or Ube cheesecake. The cheesecake was delicious and one of my favorite bites from our weekend getaway! Thank you, Fog Room, for making my birthday celebration so special.

Came to Fog Room after a long day of work and made sure to be here right when they opened. At 4:30 it was surprisingly quiet, which meant I had the space to myself to enjoy the stunning water view overlooking the Seattle pier. The vibe is laid-back yet classy, service was quick, and everything came out hot and fresh. I ordered the Fog Old Fashioned and raw oysters--the drink came with both an orange and lemon twist, fragrant with a strong yet balanced flavor, while the oysters were fresh and sweet, just as PNW oysters should be. Toward the end of summer in Seattle, rooftop bars like Fog Room are unbeatable. With fabulous weather, great cocktails, and sweeping views, this is one of the nicest rooftops in the city. Highly recommend for small bites or drinks before dinner.

The view of Seattle is nice. Wine pours were inconsistent. Service was ok. A 20% tip is automatically added to every ticket is bullshit.

The rooftop views are some of the best in the city, especially once Seattle starts lighting up, and the atmosphere is ultimately what you show up and stay for. Drinks are definitely pricey at $20+, but I appreciate that the snacks remain closer to happy hour pricing. We ordered the shishito peppers and hummus plate for around $11-$12 each, which felt surprisingly reasonable considering the setting. Staff was suuuuper nice! And after striking out on espresso martinis at our previous stop, we finally got our redemption here. The Nest's espresso martini ranks somewhere mid-tier for me compared to others around the city, but at that point we were just happy to have one in hand. You're definitely paying a premium for cocktails, but the food pricing helps balance things out and that view makes a pretty convincing argument for staying for another round. Come for a drink. Stay because Seattle looks really good from up here.

Service was great as I was quickly led to the bar as soon as I walked in and was quickly greeted by the bartenders. I was recommended two drinks out of the options I had given my bartender. The first was Santiago and saints. It was highly recommended and for good reason. It hit the spot after a humid day and was a refreshing start to my evening. Well balanced, bright, and cucumbery! The second drink I had was the espresso martini and this one was perfectly balanced and creamy! Would definitely come back. The only downside to the place is the price of cocktails. Who deserves 10 stars? The Loupe Lounge does!…read more Here is the story. If you have a long layover you can stay at the airport or you can be a rebel and venture into the city. I am a rebel with a food cause and opted to dine at The Loupe Lounge on my layover. Well, that was the master plan but coming from Maui, there were delays and my little mission was diverted. Abort? Absolutely NOT! Being a SUPER optimistic about everything in life, I rushed to make a 5:30 p.m. reservation at 7:00 p.m. I know, it was pushing it but for $150 a person I did not want this opportunity to go to waste. We arrived at The Space Needle and were whisked up to The Loupe Lounge. The host was not sure if they could still serve us so she rushed to get the manager. She must have gone back to NYC Fashion Week because here comes the manager looking like a whole GQ model, super trendy manager in the house! Well, he accommodated us, very cool of him. You're an Angel cause we were starving! The food was packaged to go, it was so delicious I'm super bummed that we didn't get to experience this in person. It was pretty in a box can't imagine what it would have been like in person! Beggars can't be choosers! The meal was fantastic! Caviar was packaged with ice! How accommodating and it passed TSA. Drinks were amazing and Andrea was the BEST waitress! Lucky we had her! Overall, if I'm back in Seattle this is back on my to-do list! Very cool experience and worth every penny! Think moods, taste buds, flavors you love - any insights you can offer will benefit you and your beverage. It's quite engaging and interactive. They jot down your order on a coaster which then becomes a keepsake that you can take with you. I thought it was a really nice touch. Very ideal for a scrapbook/journaling person (read: me). Past visit 2+ years ago the reservation is through Tock. Recently the reservation is through OpenTable so I thought the points credits will be honored here as they are in the OpenTable network, so I redeemed points to discount $8, only to not be applied to the bill since the reservation $15 per person is a deposit and refunded on seating, instead of most places where the deposit deducts the cost of the final bill. None of the bartenders could do anything, and didn't bother raising this to management (probably downstairs at Tavern Law could've remedied the situation but the short turnaround time implied they didn't try). Additionally, when I got my drink, the bartender did not bother taking a second look to see there's a bug. It was deep inside the drink, not at the top, so the bug did not just fly and land on the drink after being served. So it was a bit negligent, especially given they jacked up the price from $21 to $25 in just 2 years. The price increase did not justify the quality, if anything, price went up significantly and quality dropped... The bartender addressed the issue by remaking the drink but the drink was noticeably smaller than the original one. It would only have made sense if I drank a lot of it, but I only had small sip stopped when I saw the bug. The experience was very frustrating overall that I didn't wish to tip, only to find out they added a 20%+ service charge without my consent when I looked at the credit card statement. That is fraud. Fraudulently adding a tip to yourself earned you a 1 star. Otherwise this would've been more a 3 star experience due to the miss from the bug, and the OpenTable issue.
