    It's never just one

Chad is a very talented and personable bartender and made us great cocktails! We also had one of the fab apps that was delicious! Very inventive things they do with veggies here! We would have had dinner here but their reservations system charges you to make a resy and while it's only 2-3 dollars it's the principal that I would have to pay money for them to let me set a time for me to come patronize their restaurant. I took off one star for that issue and had dinner elsewhere.

As soon as you enter the Craftsman Courtyard and walk into FnB, it feels like an oasis from the Scottsdale traffic, shops and galleries. This boutique and neighborhood style restaurant adds to the ambiance. The menu changes seasonally. There were 13 appetizers and only 4 entrees. The menu names were quite unique so we had to ask our server German A (I believe that was his name) for assistance. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The server's assistant was also attentive by constantly refilling our water. We decided to order 5 appetizers and they were large enough to share among the three of us. We ordered the Ajapsandali, Malawach, Asian Pear & Butternut Squash, Lamb Riblets and Lobster Mushroom Frittata. They were all delicious especially the Frittata.

Went here for a birthday celebration and had a really wonderful experience. We got there 5 minutes early and were seated immediately by a very friendly host. The inside of the restaurant is really cool with huge stained glass windows and interesting decor. We ordered a bunch of food to share as a table. We definitely over ordered but everything was delicious. To start we got the naan, kale falafel, the watermelon salad, and salmonrejo. We split that between the four of us and it was so good! The naan and red pepper spread was amazing! Then we split the lobster and mushroom frittata, smoked chicken thighs, and the pasta dish. My favorite dish of the night was the chicken thighs, which were smoky and delicious! The desserts were a chocolate pecan tart and semolina cake with blueberries. Overall great experience and we will be back again!

Went here for a joint birthday dinner celebration after a friend recommended it as their favorite restaurant. I fully agree with their assessment! The whole experience at FnB was amazing, from the diverse menu to the friendly and knowledgeable services. Everything here is local to Arizona and paired with Arizona wine. The portions are filling, even for the appetizer sections. The menu changes seasonally as well. We loved the delicate squash, potato cauliflower soup, spicy broccoli, and the pork. Everything was so delicious. Don't skip the bread either, they bring out a huge plate of bread from Barrio (top bakery in Tucson) and anything you don't finish can easily be brought home. Would have loved to try dessert but we were too full from everything else.

Every dish we had here was amazing! I really love how vegetarian forward the menu is, and even the meat options were amazing! We got a chicken dish as well as the dishes pictured and the meat was so tender! The drinks were also amazing, I'd like to come back and go to the bar sometime. The waitress and hostess were so friendly and sweet. Great experience

I have no idea how I haven't posted about this restaurant yet but, it is one of the best restaurants in Scottsdale! This restaurant always has inventive, beautiful, fresh dishes. It is an amazing spot for people that are wanting to experience something intriguing and different for the usual palette. Also, if you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian this is a great choice, but they also have some incredible meat dishes as well.! I do not have enough good things to say about this restaurant. Check it out when you are in old town and especially if you have company from out of town and you really want to allow them. It's also so lovely to walk around old town checking out some of the galleries and having fun little cocktails along the way treat yourself.!

Really nice dinner here with my sister on a Friday evening in May. We did make a reservation, but there were some open seats inside while we were there. Love that they keep the menu new and fresh, and that there were a lot of vegetarian options. We split 2 salads and a fish dish and that was the perfect amount of food for the 2 of us (and a glass of wine). We really enjoyed everything we ate and the service was very good.

Fantastic food and service! Every dish is interesting & delicious. The atmosphere is nothing special, but it allows the food to be the focal point.

FIVE STARS ALL AROUND! The service was absolutely amazing - the owner's wife was so friendly and wonderful. I was climbing down from Camelback Mountain (true story) and wasn't going to be able to make my reservation time so I called (yes, from the top of the mountain...) and she was so sweet and accommodating. Since I was eating by myself, she also offered to let me order half-portions of some of the dishes (if it was possible to split them). The place is pretty casual but very cute and was well-occupied for a Tuesday night. Note: you do have to put a deposit down when you make a reservation and they'll refund it. The pasta OMG. It was so so so good! Perfectly al dente and the sauce was YUM. The mozzarella was a little hard to pull apart so I might recommend ricotta or burrata instead (although I'm not a huge fan of mozzarella in general so I'm a bit biased). The beefsteak tomato appetizer was on point! It did have a strong coriander taste in some places so just be aware if you're not partial to that taste.

    Pickled shrimp

    - Pickled shrimp: 3/5 similar to a shrimp salad with celery, onions, parsley served with crackers, a bit sour for my taste - Tilefish w sweet corns, hazelnuts, pears: 4/5 great texture of the fish, the corn bed was abundant in texture and went well with the fish - Peruvian chicken thigh w chili sauce, melon etc: 5/5 crispy, flavorful chicken thigh, delicious. I've never had chicken thigh with fruits like melon before. quite interesting but it paired quite well. Overall food is 4/5 The reason I gave them only 3 stars was because of our table being under an open staircase... While we ate, there are people going up and down the open staircases with our food just 2-3 feet below it! It's disgusting thinking about if any dirt from their shoes could have fallen to our food. I lost the appetite then...

The food here was very good. The menu changes regularly so the dishes never stay the same. The service was really good as well. I love a vegetarian forward menu. However, when we went in March, we had a vegan friend in our group and the menu definitely had less vegan options than usual. They could adjust the dishes but I wish they had a few more designated vegan plates.

We ate dinner here on NYE and had just a lovely experience. The food was delicious and seemed to only contain the freshest ingredients. The pasta with butternut and lentils was one of my favorite pasta dishes I've had. Everything is veggie forward which I absolutely loved. The service was wonderful. The ambiance is homey and intimate, but upscale. You feel like the chef is cooking only for you. Would highly recommend!

Hi there, is the patio small dog friendly?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, our small patio does not meet the requirements for the health department to allow pets on the patio.

    Noise level please?

Noise level was perfect: there were 4 of us and we had no problem chatting in normal voices or being heard.

Are there good gluten free options?

The menu is changing regularly, but there were multiple gluten free options when I went recently.

We were lucky enough that it happened to be restaurant week (1 appetizer, 1 entree, & 1 dessert for the price of $55!) I decided to get their infamous original chopped salad, fair trade short ribs, & blueberry pudding cake. My partner opted for the burrata paired with their noble bread, crispy salmon, & midnight brownie. Our favorites were their burrata & crispy salmon, with our not so favorites being the rest. The chopped salad was mediocre at best, nothing worth coming back for. The short ribs were overcooked, making it extremely dry. The blueberry pudding cake was incredibly dense and dry. The brownie was as hard as a rock, making it difficult to pick up a piece without breaking the plate while at it. Overall, my partner and I were quite disappointed with our meals. The only silver lining was that our server, Nicholas, was phenomenal!

However, every time we visited in the past, we had a great experience--until this last visit. We made a reservation for 7:45 PM but didn't get seated until 8:30 PM. While this isn't terrible, it can be challenging when you have a little one with you, but it's to be expected as a parent. Once we were at our table, we ordered drinks and food for the kids. My wife ordered a cocktail, and I opted for an Old Fashioned. The kids ordered pasta and a cheese pizza. This is when things started to go downhill. The pasta was okay, but the pizza had a few hairs on it--more than one, in fact. This made us uncomfortable, so we informed the waiter, and they addressed the issue promptly. As we waited for the new pizza, our drinks arrived, and they were nicely presented. However, while sipping my Old Fashioned, I noticed something unusual in my drink--Tajin. Curious, I asked the waiter if this was a special variation of the Old Fashioned. She replied no, so I pointed out the issue in my glass, and she confirmed she saw the Tajin as well. I felt she was treating it as if it was acceptable, which it clearly wasn't, so I looked at her, signaling that I would like a new drink. (I wish I had taken pictures.) Following that, our main dishes started to arrive. My wife ordered a wagyu steak, and I had the pork loin. Unfortunately, we began to analyze everything after the earlier mishaps, and the vibe of the experience was completely lost. To make matters worse, we were still charged for the pizza that had hair on it and the drink that had the issue. With all that being said, I've decided I will no longer be dining here.
