You would think with all the ingredients this would be so satisfying but unfortunately it wasn't. There was no flavor of the ingredients that wooed me, but it was worth a try. The wings were jumbo and I didn't know otherwise I would have asked for them to be cooked extra crispy. I didn't really enjoy those since they were juicy and not crispy. My husband and I came here on a Monday night and they have some great deals (we didn't know about it until we got here)! There are drink specials and half price pizzas and appetizers. I ordered a cocktail and my husband had some beer from their extensive list. We started with the Big Brewery Pretzel and beer cheese and it was delicious. It was cooked perfectly! Avoid at all costs. Can't be trusted with food allergies!! Tried to go for lunch today and actually walked out. I've only done this once before in my life. Seemed like they were severely understaffed and the one server was spacy. Never got my drink despite reminding her when she "checked in" 20 minutes after we ordered. She brought out our food finally. And it was wrong. Like so wrong it contained an allergen we discussed at length and she said she would tell the kitchen about the allergy. Obviously she didn't. She also didn't seem to recall the conversation. At this point we didn't trust that the food wouldn't make me sick and since I had only been served water (no napkins or utensils), we left. 45 minutes to get no drink and very wrong food. Astounding how bad the service is at Taphouse. If negative stars were an option, this place would earn a solid -3. I genuinely wanted to like this place and gave it multiple chances, but every visit followed the same frustrating pattern. I would sit for 20 minutes without even being acknowledged, forcing me to track down one of the only two employees ever working--who are always different due to the obvious high turnover. Shame on me for tolerating this more than once. There's a reason this place is always empty. I'd love to review the food or drinks, but getting either is nearly impossible. The one beer I managed to get on my final visit was at least cold, so I guess that's something. I absolutely do not recommend this place-- not even as a last resort. You'd have a better dining experience grabbing some bread and cheese from the grocery store across the street. There are plenty of vastly better options within the same parking lot. My hubby and I were searching for a new place for dinner and we found Taphouse Kitchen for some American fare. Little did we know they had golf simulator lounges inside the restaurant! We immediately signed up, no wait a Saturday evening and we spend an hour trying to pretend like we are golfers....not sure if I pulled it off! FYI, the golf simulators are out in the open for everyone to watch h so if you're shy, it's probably not the place to be. This restaurant overall has a cool vibe! The drinks were good and the food was good. My husband and I started with the dip duo (yum!) and then we also had the Philly cheesecake steak with was delightful. We ordered the spicy chicken wings and they were quite large - I think it was five wings for seven dollars which is a pretty good deal around here! The covered outdoor patio, that basically butts up to the parking lot in front and is a nice option for fresh air. Well that was yummy. And a lovely experience! Had lunch at TapHouse today with a friend, and we we're delighted by the atmosphere, comfy and cute booth we were sat in, and our very friendly server. It's a good size restaurant with a big variety on their menu and what looked like a well-stocked bar with lots of options. I was in the mood for a big, fresh salad and that's just what I found. I opted for the Blackened Salmon Spinach Salad. It was definitely a heck of a lot of spinach but also included beets, lovely thin slices of cucumber, avocado chunks, and candied pecans. I was a fan of the lemon poppyseed dressing too. Just the right amount, not drenching the salad like you can tend to get sometimes. The salmon was both quality and well-cooked, with the flavorful blackening on the top. A tasty (but slightly pricey) lunch for sure. read more

He never checked in our table, very transactional. They need to have diverse programs all TV screens. Yelp review for Taphouse Kitchen My wife and I stopped here after a doctor appointment before the 2+ hour drive home. The web site, text messages, and yelp page looked great and I expected a quick, pleasant dinner before our drive. Turns out, the media campaign is the only thing they are good at doing. First, the background music was WAY too loud. We were seated and ordered drinks only to be told they didn't have any non-alcohol drinks, which still puzzles me. Full bar, but no soda or juices? I guess a rum and coke is out of the question. Turns out my wife's water was one of the high points of the evening. I had what they called their "flagship IPA" and found it was OK, but nothing I would drive out of they way to get. We ordered food anyway. While waiting for food, it got progressively louder. People spoke more loudly to be heard over the music, and it seemed the management turned up the music. About half an hour after ordering food, they turned down the lights. The lights behind my wife just flickered annoyingly. Since they couldn't get the lights to stop flickering they finally turned them off. After waiting an hour for food, I told the waitress to bring us a bill for drinks and cancel the food. She checked and said they were plating our food right then, but food still took 15 minutes to come out. My wife's fish and chips were very good, but not worth the wait. My wings and fries were OK, but nothing outstanding. The waitress was pleasant enough, but extremely overworked. It appears the facility is severely undermanned. When I said that I was extremely frustrated by the wait time she apologized and said they had some large groups. It made me wonder why they had large tables if they were incapable of handling large groups. No manager ever came by to talk after my complaint. Overall, this was a miserable experience. Being forced to give them one star is rating them WAT TOO HIGH. I will not be returning. read more

As others have said recently, the service is terrible. It's not the staff's fault--the place needs more than a friendly but overworked bartender/food runner/server and another server. The vibe is terrible with tables crowded together to make room for some golf simulators that take up about half the space. It makes for a gloomy, dull atmosphere. Food is unobjectionable, but really uninspired The tables by the front door were loaded with dirty dishes that no one could be bothered (or had time) to clear. This is a great location that used to be a top choice for a convenient, consistently good meal. Then it closed. Then it reopened under different ownership. Then it changed again. Urge was great! We came this morning and there were some spots at the bar we posted up at. Our bartender was super nice and accommodating to us and held some great conversation! The beer selection was great and had a lot of good out of state ones that you probably won't find elsewhere in AZ! We were able to grab a couple of LV and SD beers that were great! We shared a Margherita pizza and while it was good, the tomatoes used on it almost seemed like they were the same ones used for burgers. Just seemed to be a little too thick for a pizza like that. Otherwise the crust was good and the homemade ranch served alongside it was to die for I wish Yelp would let me give a half star to make it 4.5/5 because the only complaint was the odd choice of tomatoes. Had a really great experience at Taphouse! The atmosphere is great, wide variety on the menu, & tons of brews. We were starving so we started off with the pretzel...no regrets. It's huge & tasted really fresh. However, I do think it would pair so much better with a spicy cheese but it didn't disappoint! We shared the electric tacos and the blackened fish tacos. Electric tacos would definitely be my pick out of the two personally but we enjoyed them both. Ended dinner with the beignets, so much bread, but so good. I highly recommend the beignets if you're sharing with a group, one each would be plenty! Overall we had a great time. This is a good place for groups or for just a chill dinner. There were two large Bach parties there during our dinner and they were having a blast. Also It wasn't too loud which I really liked, nothing is worse than going to dinner & not being able to hear your people. Lastly, I can't recommend our sever Bella enough! I came here for lunch the other day and I think they might be suffering from a labor shortage. Although we had a reservation we had to wait and a person ahead of us who didn't have a reservation did not have to wait. It seemed kind of confused. The food was OK. I had the Caesar salad and I was a little disappointed that it didn't have an anchovy option although many restaurants do not offer anchovies with Caesars anymore. Would I come here again? This might be my fave new salad with grapefruit, mangos and avocado.If only I could get an adult size serving. My friend had the Peri-Peri Jerk Chicken salad and loved it too. Definitely finish with the beignets. Soo aahhmazing!!! I licked the caramel and dark chocolate sauces completely. During Covid, I think service is as important as quality food. No matter what, I'll even tip you 20% because I worked in hospitality and understand jerks you deal with. But when we aren't one of those, you should practice smiling. The ambience was of a taphouse sports bar, which was exactly what we were expecting. We seated right away and was greeted with a warm, welcome smile. We ordered our food and it came in in a timely manner. I ordered the pig pair pizza. It had a crispy outside crust with a yummy, fluffy inside the crust. The pizza was lathered with a garlic, butter, cheese, prosciutto, sliced tomatoes, arugula, with sliced pear and balsamic vinaigrette drizzled on top the pears were nice and firm. The arugula was fresh. The slices of tomato did nothing for the dish they didn't have much flavor however, it did add color. when I come back to this area again to visit. Super impressed with TapHouse! Heard about this place from a friend, and was skeptical, but ended up quite happy with our experience. You can't beat the 1¢ (with brunch entree purchase) mimosa or Bloody Mary. Their bloody Mary's are INCREDIBLE, especially for the price . The bacon was to die for! I wasn't feeling super hungry, so I decided on the avocado toast, which came with a huge "side" portion of fresh fruit. A SUPER deal. My mom got the Benedict, and she said it was amazing. The service was spectacular, although we were shocked that it was Saturday morning at 9:30 and barely anyone was dining. The atmosphere is so inviting, bright, and filled with unique fun touches. Jen and I were in Scottsdale for a conference so we did our usual and looked to Yelp to help us decide where to eat in the area. So many choice but we decided on the Taphouse Kitchen since it gets good reviews and is close to our hotel. Restaurant is very nice inside and has a welcoming atmosphere with the nice bar and sports on all the tv's. Our bartender was real nice and attentive. Jen ordered the special which was two tacos and a margarita for I believe 17 or 18 dollars. I ordered the cheese balls as an appetizer and I should have cancelled my meal they were so big and filling. If you get them, make sure you have a group of people to share them. I ordered a 16" pizza which I wasn't hungry for but the only other choice was 8 which is too small. I ended up eating half the pizza and leaving the rest since our hotel didn't have a microwave. The drinks are a little pricey so be prepared for that I'm not a craft beer person but that was the only choice. Good food just be ready to pay. read more
