I had a chance to go to OHSO with the group last night while I was in Scottsdale. We were seated right away in an area where you can see the TV screens and a few of the outside area. They have outdoor dining and indoor. We were seated indoor. It was pretty hot outside, but they hadmisters blowing outside as well. They also had a pretty expense menu and I was having a hard time deciding between the shrimp taco plate or the Carne Asada taco plate, but I finally settled on the Carne Asada taco plate. It was pretty good. My wife ended up getting a chicken club sandwich with fries which was also apparently pretty good. Everyone in our group seem to enjoy their food. Someone got a turkey burger with a lettuce wrap. Someone got the fish and chips and there were a couple of margaritas in our group as well. They have an expansive menu of beers too. If you're in the area and you're looking for a place to go out with a small group or just dining along, I could recommend OHSO distilleries. read more

OHSO has a great happy hour and a fun patio. They have misters and sun shades which help keep out the heat. Every time I come here they have a new fun beer flavor to try. I love their fish and chips as well! read more

We visited this OHSO a few days after I adopted my pup, Cash! We tried to dine at another nearby dog-friendly spot, but it was jam packed due to crowds from the World Cup. We started our meal with the buffalo chicken egg rolls, which I thought were really good. They were spicy but not overwhelming. For my meal, I went with the brisket mac and cheese. It was really tasty and super filling. Perfect for leftovers. I also really love how OHSO has a small menu for dogs! Cash had the grilled chicken breast and he gives it two paws up! read more

Came Friday night and super super busy. But just in time for the happy hour 11-6! We wanted to sit outside and they had the shades down, it was perfect. But then in the middle of eating the staff went to remove all the shades just as the sun was setting. Except no one could see and all we could was a big ball of light and I couldn't see the other person at my table or my food, it was blinding. (See pic below- it wasn't just me that was struggling) no clue why they would take all the shades down as the sunset. They have this whole new dip thing going. I ordered the carne asada tacos, stay away. The grease that was left on the tortillas and plate was out of control. You have to put them together yourself as well. Change that! Service was great. Came here for lunch while my car tires were being looked at. This location is a test kitchen which is fun to give input. We wanted to alter the way a sandwich came and substitute turkey for a burger and it was no problem at all. My husband and I have to eat gluten free and their gluten free bread is some of the best- even my husband may a comment and it's hard to impress him with gf bread. I love my neighborhood OHSO and so when my mom and I were out shopping and wanted lunch we came here. What I thought was a regular OHSO location turned out to be the new test kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised! This spot has really cool decor and spacious seating areas while keeping the OHSO vibe of indoor/outdoor dog friendly seating. I thought the chandeliers and trees were especially cool. We were seated quickly and our server was fast and friendly. We tried the quesadilla and the French toast. Both were very enjoyable and would be welcome additions to the regular OHSO menu. We left our feedback and were happy with our visit. 5/5, easily! Don't believe everything you see. We were looking for a place to grab an early dinner, but initially overlooked this option because of the 3.9 stars. For us, there is no way this was below a 4.5 star experience. The bar and restaurant has several areas, we put our name in for an outdoor table (which is actually covered, but open air around the bar). While waiting, we grabbed a drink at the bar and decided to eat there instead. Their happy hour menu is great and includes many of their distilled spirits. I had the "catch me if you can" made with their cranberry vodka and their rosemary vodka. It was delicious and not too sweet. My husband had their poblano margarita, which he said was refreshing and mild. Both came in at $8 (see full menu in photos). The couple next to us ordered chips with several dips, fish tacos, and an Asian salad - which we completely missed on the back side of the menu. This discovery complete changed our order! We shared the chips and queso ($3), brisket sliders ($12), mac and cheese ($10) from their happy hour menu, as well as the monthly special Asian wings. Each item was fresh and flavorful with generous portions. The chips were fresh and the queso was so flavorful - great size portion for $3. From Wisconsinites, the mac and cheese was awesome! The brisket sliders were huge and moist with BBQ, queso, and crispy onions. The wings were perfect with a slightly crisp skin, tender meat, and incredibly flavored sauce - the veggies and ranch were even special. We ended up needing to take up half of the wing order and most of the mac and cheese. Service was fast and personable. The bartender helped with several selections and insured we didn't have empty drinks. They offer free samples of their spirits. We tried the cucumber, grapefruit, lemon, and coffee vodkas. They were all great, but we ended up buying their grapefruit. The food also came out very quickly! Can't wait to go back and try their regular menu! read more

First visit here and really enjoyed the whole experience! I'm a big fan of breweries & while this has everything must breweries have, it offers much more like a full menu and liquor distilled in house, which made it seem almost more like it a great restaurant instead of a typical brewery. That said, I loved everything about it! Great decorations everywhere with something interesting to look at and very large patio area with big comfy seats and lots of space for everyone. Our server was excellent, just the right amount of attentive without interrupting too often. Another big plus of this place is an extensive gluten-free menu with vegan items as well, u don't always see that. I tried two of the IPAs and they were both delicious as was my chicken fried rice. Best place to go for brunch! Brunch item plus monster mimosa or beer for $17! Great deal! I've had the banana bread French toast, avocado toast, and The Standard to name a few... and all are delicious!! Service is always great (Makenna our latest trainee and Aimee were fabulous). The kitchen forgot to leave off the bacon on my Av.toast and management offered free drink to make up for it! They also have a great VIP program and sent me a $20 gift card for my birthday! Also lots of TVs for watching sports! Love the North Scottsdale location but the Paradise location is good too (recently went their for dinner and had their crab wontons and chile chicken tacos, both fabulous!) the environment is always fun and upbeat and I love the lighted trees and decor at North location!! O.H.S.O. Brewery - Scottsdale (101 & Frank Lloyd Wright location) - 2 stars, one because the food was tasty and another one because the drinks were good. My wife and I came in for brunch on Saturday, May 17th around 11 a.m. and sat at the bar. We've always loved O.H.S.O. and regularly visit the Arcadia and Gilbert locations -- this was our first time trying this one, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. Let's start with the positives: The food tasted great. That's pretty much where it ends. This location is apparently a "test kitchen" with experimental dishes, but what's not mentioned is that every portion is about half the size of what you get at their other locations -- while still costing $16-$26 per plate. For example, the breakfast quesadilla was $18 and came out small and underwhelming. It's a bit absurd for the price point. I also asked the bartender (who was friendly but rarely behind the bar when we needed her) if I could swap the included penny mimosa/beer for a Bloody Mary -- something I've done at both the Arcadia and Gilbert spots. She said no, but kindly offered to bring it up to the manager and suggested I write it on the comment card. Seemed reasonable at the time. But after I finished my meal, a short, hostile manager came storming out of the kitchen and snapped, "The bartender said you had a question about a drink?" I was caught off guard by his tone and told him that yes, I had asked a while ago if I could swap out the mimosa. He curtly replied that he had opened the Gilbert store and worked at Arcadia, and that "they aren't supposed to do that." I calmly explained that I was just looking for a solution and offering feedback -- not trying to break the rules. I even said if it's not cost-effective, I get it. But rather than being open to the suggestion or offering a polite explanation, he got defensive and retreated into the kitchen without so much as a thank-you or resolution. This interaction was, hands down, the worst customer service I've experienced at any O.H.S.O. location. The manager was abrasive, unhelpful, and downright rude. Combine that with overpriced, undersized portions and a bartender who was constantly MIA, and you've got a recipe for a very disappointing brunch. O.H.S.O. Arcadia and Gilbert will continue to get our business. They offer better value, friendlier staff, and actually seem to care about guest experience. This Scottsdale "test kitchen"? Total miss. The ambiance is cool after the remodel, but the game room prices are inflated, and it honestly feels like they rolled the cost of the remodel into the food -- which now comes in noticeably smaller portions. Great, lively place for a group! Met up with some friends, there were 7 of us total sat at a high table near the bar. We did have reservations. At 7:30pm on a Friday, the parking situation is tight. Started off with the Jalapeño Mule made with their jalapeño infused vodka. Refreshing with a kick. Shared the Fried Pickle Spears served with dill ranch. That combo was spot on. For my main I enjoyed the GF Cacio E Pepe Pasta. It's always a pleasant surprise when I can order gluten free pasta. The dish was rich but not too crazy heavy. After our meal we all headed to the gaming area to play air hockey, basketball, skeeball, the claw, and Ms. PacMan. That area was ok, not really bussed. There were drinks in the drink holders, not a deal breaker but kind of inconvenient when you're trying to play when you do have a drink. The games were reasonably priced. Would come here again if given the chance. Our servers were super nice, funny. The meal prices weren't terrible. There were some surprisingly low priced options and some in-this-economy high ones. Super nice female bartender inside took great care of me and two older gents beer tasting at noon! The watermelon salad they have this summer is so good I have to eat it again! We often schedule our day around a visit to OHSO Brewery, usually with our whole family! Always a pleasure!

I visited this location for a business lunch where a new vendor wanted to introduce himself to us. This location was closed for a little bit for a remodel and now they are a brewery + distillery and test kitchen so the menu will be constantly changing. If you are looking for your favorite OHSO dish, this is not the location for you but if you're a fan of helping in the decision making process for menu items like I am, head on over. My partner and our host both had the salmon bowl and they both really enjoyed it. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and I have to say it was pretty tasty. The fries were outstanding and they threw in a pickle spear on the side to round out the entree. Very good. The facility itself was very nicely done and they have a large out door patio section which was just perfect with the weather being so nice. Our server, Lauren, was on point and was there when we needed her but not overbearing which can be annoying. The entire lunch was amazing. Like I said, if you enjoy having input for the menu of their other locations, I highly recommend this spot, but even if you're just looking for a very nice lunch, then this is the spot for you. read more

Three of us, Asian Chicken Salad (side of sweet potato fries), a BBQ burger naked, and Poke D'Nachos bowl. A side of crab wontons (similar to crab rangoons) was added. They were GREAT. Well-presented, very tasty, fresh, and just plain delicious. I wasn't expecting something this scrumptuous. It's not cheap, although some of these were happy hour offerings. But the quality, taste, and preparation were great. Service was good. On a Wednesday, it wasn't too crowded. Yes, I'd go again. I might need a subsidy, but it's worth it. After our last poor experience, we were asked to give OHSO another shot, and we did--SO glad we did!! We came in for lunch this time, sat outside among lots of diners and their pups. They were pretty busy, but the service was super. Servers/hosts were singing happy birthday to a lady's pup who was celebrating its birthday, and everyone seemed elated to chime in! So fun. I had the Southwest Salad, didn't need any added protein, it was perfect and filling as-is. The homemade croutons were the best part of it! Hubby had the pastrami sand., loved it! I hadn't been here for about a year and stopped in tonight for the Chinese chicken salad. I was surprised it wasn't on the menu and ordered the Thai spring roll salad instead. It came out in an oval bowl with zero lettuce. It was cold noodles soaked in a very vinegar heavy sauce with a few chunks of cabbage. It was not edible. My son's chicken nuggets were also not fully cooked and slimy under the breading. The service was not great and we waited at least 15 mins for menus and waters.
