We held our fantasy football draft at Backyards and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was perfect for our group, the staff took great care of us, and the entire setup made for an awesome draft day. Great spot for sports, groups, and fantasy football drafts. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Scottsdale. Highly recommend! IYKYK Happy Birthday Jill. read more

The food was decent enough for a sports bar. Game day and they seemed understaffed. The jukebox kept turning on during the game and drowned out the tvs. read more

Backyards - Game day! - New American Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

Great atmosphere and loads of screens to watch the games Service was good along with the food Nice selection for happy hour

5 star service and ambiance. Typical bar food, nothing super special but what kind, nice, people and what a fun place. We will be back. Owner (or Manager, not sure) was very present and friendly and you got the feeling they were most concerned with our group having fun over anything else. Kind of place you could Go to alone and chat with others. Just really nice people. Did the sloppy joes (signature dish) have too much bbq do me? Yes but I didn't even care. Burgers were great. Ask for wings extra crispy. read more

I've been here countless times. In fact, it's a local favorite and somewhere I come often because they're great for large groups (patio is 10/10!) and they are super supportive of teachers. Lots of good appetizers to share and I'm obsessed with their fried pickles. Great happy hour and reasonable prices. People who run the place are also incredibly nice. Located in a strip mall near the highway with lots of parking. read more

Backyards "Backyards" is the place where NY Jets Football Fans meet on game days. They have a patio, a full bar, and about ten TVs. The TVs are fully visible from the floor. The patio has about five TVs suspended from above. It's a good place to eat if you have been to Ody Sea, Butterfly Wonderland, or Medieval Times. The food is so good, I've never heard complaints about it. I'd recommend the following four, but don't limit yourself to them. Chipotle Ranch Chicken Sandwich, Bomb Tacos, Grilled Chicken Pita. The coffee is excellent too. They are very accommodating, and during the half-time crunch, the service can be a little slow. They are, however, very accommodating. Backyards can cater. It has done so while we were there. There is plenty of room. Recommended items would be the Chipotle Ranch Chicken Sandwich, Bomb Tacos, and the Grilled Chicken Pita. It is always spotless. I can't say enough about it. You really have to try it. PS - If you are a Jets Fan, stop in. read more

Stopped in for lunch in early July and outside of the kind servers, nothing was good. We ordered pulled pork nachos and chicken fajitas, two items that are hard to screw up - both of which came recommended by the server. The fajitas were enough for a kids meal (small portion) and the chicken tasted funky. The nachos were good sized, but unlike most joints, everything, and I mean everything, other than the chips and cheese came with a cost. Beans, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese - all extra. The pulled pork was an expected up charge, but it tasted like it was a week old. You know that taste, like it was left over or cooked well before being served - days before. Just terrible food overall! This might be a good place to grab a drink or watch a game, but leave your appetite at home or eat at your own risk. We will never go back! read more

It's so hard to find a sports bar with a vegetarian option that isn't just mozzarella sticks. The Imposter burger was delicious. The fries were seasoned well. It's nice to be able to sit outside and watch the game without the sun pounding down on you. Service was great! Especially since I bought my senior aged high maintenance parents They also have a rotating tap. read more

Love their chicken club sandwich and also the chicken fingers. Place is good to hangout with friends, staffs are friendly!

awesome staff, came for a football game and the bartenders and owner went out of there way to make sure everyone was happy

Good food, the place is neat and clean, staff are amazing and wonderful. honestly its worth the price def goin back

Love the concept of this place. Some friends and I came here on a Monday for their happy hour menu. Being that it was a Monday, it was not super busy or loud, but I can imagine the atmosphere would be different on a weekend or game day. They have large TV screens in the middle and around the restaurant displaying several games. The restaurant is open with plenty of seating. There were a few games in the corner of the restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. On this visit I went ahead and ordered their cheeseburger with no bun, fries and their house wine. The food was good and came out pretty fast. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE MANAGEMENT. I've been ordering here for well over a year. I've ORDERED 25 MEALS FROM HERE BUT NEVER AGAIN. The food is amazing. I ordered lunch today via GrubHub, and the food was delivered to the wrong address. No problem; I contacted GrubHub, who sent out a "replacement" order (which means the same order). The second order did arrive but was missing the side of "fresh fruit." I called the Restaurant, and the "man" who answered admitted to forgetting the fruit. He said, "oh that was me, I'm sorry," when I told him that this has happened there more than once he immediately got defensive and started to raise his voice saying. They DO NOT habitually forget items and started to get defensive. I actually asked him if was calling me a liar as he kept raising his voice, louder and louder and more out of control 5-2-25, They forgot the fruit 4-26-25, They forgot the Small Reg. tots That's 2 items in just a week. But you guys never do this right? This same "man" actually called me at home to continue arguing with me to tell me, NOW, he actually didn't forget the fruit, that it was my fault because I didn't order any. EXCEPT THIS WAS A REPLACEMENT ORDER, which is the exact same order!! HOW DARE YOU CALL ME AT HOME AND SCREAM AT ME LIKE AN UNCONTROLLED NEANDERTHAL? I ASKED YOU NUMEROUS TIMES TO LOWER YOUR VOICE AND YOU KEPT YELLING.. YOU SHOULD BE FIRED! This is NO WAY to speak to a customer. YOU LOST A CUSTOMER TODAY Food: 5/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5 read more

This place has been an awesome venue to kick back at and relax with my coworkers after work, but tonight the owner had a full blown crash out towards one of his employees. Straight up cussing this poor girl out. It was unacceptable behavior. Some of us decided to stand up for her and when we did we were also yelled and cussed at. The remaining 20 or so minutes I was there was spent awkwardly finishing my meal while the owner glared at me, and when he wasn't glaring he was drinking and putting his head in his hands... It's such a shame because this place has been such a cool place to go to but I won't be returning after all of that. Update 4/1/26 - I decided to give it another shot tonight because the owner was never there prior to the incident, but it looks like I was 86'd for leaving a bad review. Fine, I get that, but...no apology, no kind of concession offered...didn't care whatsoever about anything other than the bad review. Oh well. Guess my coworkers and I will find somewhere else to go from now on. Anything you'd like to add Eric? I'd love to hear your side of the night. read more

Good sports bar food. Good service! Out seating was nice. Burgers big and good flavor. Italian sub loaded and great roll!

Food was good. The service kept up pretty well with the football functions but can cause delay. Overall drinks and food is fine. Regular upgrade sports bar Problem is the stared a 3% tax to final bill which is not included in tip which appears to be for same service. I will go elsewhere we're not charged or deduct from 20%. Maybe for special occasions but you should always look at your bill at all location. Without this I almost always leave a separate $5 for my server if she great. Not with service charge read more

Really, I would give it 3.5 stars. It was ok, but expensive for what it was. One of the orders was messed up as I ordered onion rings; we didn't receive something we did order, but we weren't charged, and the waitress never asked for a refill on my daughter's soft drink. My advice to them is visit some like places and see what they charge and what people receive, and the staff need to be more attentive and conscientious. read more

We attended an OU football watch party and the place is amazing with good food for a bar and love the service.

We had come here after hiking to get lunch with the dogs in tow. The moment we walked up, a man came up and said the patio was full but we could sit on the couches. We settled are group and waited awhile for someone to come over. The bar was pretty full outside and it seemed only a bartender and one runner were working so everything was pretty delayed. The staff seemed pretty over it which I am assuming is due to being busy but it didn't really make our group feel welcomed. We almost left before ordering but decided to stay since we were so hungry. The food was average and met the need but nothing we would come back for. We did order the artichoke dip which was really good though. Came with chips and pita bread which was nice to be able to switch up! read more

If you're looking for a sports bar with TVs, great food, great drinks, and a chill atmosphere, this is the place. We sat on the patio which was really cozy and inviting. It's definitely a hidden gem so I'm hesitant to share with people lol but they def deserve a shout out! read more

It was very, very slow for a Thursday during happy hour. Most of the patrons at the bar worked there. The bartender had a little bit of an attitude and was way more interested in her friend at the bar with gabby gal gossip, which seemed alarming to me since the place was so slow. Chips and queso were super basic, but the yummy shot options were cheap and good! read more

In Arizona for thanksgiving to see family and my love, he and I drove here which is a very convenient bar location. We went around 1:30pm on Friday and there was only one other couple here so we got good attention from the bartender. He ordered the mini chimichanga and I wasn't hungry so I just ordered the whiskey cocktail on the specials menu with an extra shot of bourbon. Now he loved the chimichanga and said it was the perfect portion, I would say it's like a tapas portion. As for my drink, it wasn't very strong and I was looking for VERY strong But it did taste good. I drank it down in two sips then I ordered a shot of jack Daniel's Honey and that did what I needed it to do. Anyway it was just a quick stop before we went back to the hotel. Pretty cool place for a quick stop.. read more

Another great visit! Backyards still had the very best spinach dip ever!! We came to enjoy the Sunday game. Surprisingly we were the only guest in the patio area, the owner came out and made sure we had the game playing on whatever TV we wanted. Our waitress was training someone new and our service was fantastic ! One or the other would come to see how we were doing . This is a great spot to see your sports games !! It's a really chill spot and I have a feeling when the really big games start coming on it'll be full of energy and fun ! read more

Out door patio was nice! Not hot on the patio and nicely shaded. Lots of TVs and several games on. Only one game on the speakers. Nachos, we added chicken and black beans. It was layered. Every chip had some type of topping on it! Which was amazing! I had to ask for a few plain chips for my daughter because I couldn't find any lol and the waitress was nice enough to bring a few out for her! Great service. Our waitress was always checking on us and the beers never ran out before we ordered the next. read more

Your correct I didn't sit down since your GM pretty much refused us service, I did use your restroom and witnessed a Cook used the bathroom and not wash his hands, and I do not even live in AZ was there for a baseball tournament but nice try! Spinatos was amazing! I'd love for you to post the video you would look really unprofessional when it shows me walking to your bathroom! Seems like all your reviews your just trying to defend bad service, bad food, bad hygiene and bad attitudes in your establishment! I'm guessing you won't be in business long! Best of luck bud..... your GM can't tell you the truth just think what else he maybe hiding from you! read more

We happened upon this place last night on our drive home from Talking Stick. It popped up on our maps as a sports bar close by to watch March Madness. We pulled in and it looks much smaller than it is. When we walked in, the tables were all taken as was the bar. It was too hot to sit on the patio although it looked really nice and I can't wait to come back and try it! As we turned to leave and go somewhere else, the owner Eric grabbed us and told us he'd be happy to accommodate us if we were willing to wait. He showed us to some bar stools near the back against a wall to wait. Within seconds our waitress, Liz was there to greet us and seen what we needed. They could not have been nicer and Liz even suggested a great beer that is now my new favorite! Eric checked on us multiple times to see if we were ok until we were able to get a seat at the bar. The restaurant was packed with March madness fans but the staff was so amazing at making sure we were taken care of. It's a great neighborhood bar and the food was great- we had pork quesadillas, but I can wait to go back and try more. Really great staff and great friendly fun service. Eric runs a tight ship! read more

This is a smallish sports bar. It has a kind of dive-y feel to it, but we really liked the food and our server was nice. Basic tables and chairs, nothing fancy. This would probably be a good place to watch a game. I had a veggie burger with tots and it exceeded my expectations. Nice bun and the patty itself was good quality....not like some of those cardboard tasting veggie patties. Prices were reasonable. read more
