Went here with some friends for "happy hour." It took forever to get our drinks. The server tried to get our drinks out on time but the bartender was on her phone the whole time. The place wasn't even busy, it never is, you think she could have pried herself away from the phone for 5 minutes. The appetizers we ordered were gross and looked like they were reheated frozen apps. We paid our tab early and left! The owner was there but didn't even bother to make things right. This place is awful and I highly recommend staying away and going elsewhere. We decided to take a drive today and headed north. Ended up here for a late lunch. Picked it because I knew my kids would like the options on the menu. While our server was very nice, the food was not at all what we were expecting. We ordered a pretzel with cheese appetizer (which my kids always love). It was okay, but disappointing. Off the kids menu we ordered a burger and chicken tender. Husband got a burger and I got The Big Cheese. I was looking forward to a melty grilled cheese sandwich and added ham. It had one piece of cheese. Not sure how it would have been if I hadn't ordered the ham on it. It tasted good. But if it's called The Big Cheese it should be cheesy! It was not. The burgers were very well done (not ordered that way) and my youngest wouldn't eat his chicken tender because they were hard to chew. We stopped here for lunch while on our way to the Titanic exhibit at the Aquarium. We chose to sit on their patio and were met with a nice server who welcomed us immediately. The patio was spacious but dirty. It would be a very comfortable area to dine but really needs a good scrub. The menu offers a lot of options for salads, burgers, sandwiches. Always good to be greeted before sitting down. That is how I was welcomed in this establishment. Had the pleasure to meet Eric, and he's a super cool guy who runs this place. It's easy to pick up that's he's someone with a genuine love for people. Rachel was authentic, made sure my food and beverage were on the up and ups. Not only did I leave feeling fully fed, but conversation and her personality made this trip a memorable experience. I ordered their wings (highly recommended to ask them to grill them too), and they were perfectly charred and crispy. Rachel also brought me multiple sauces to try out; Chile lime, Orange Peel, Honey Hot, and BBQ. All tasted great! I'll be back within a couple weeks' for another round. Me and my girl had some great food here. We started off with an appetizer called 'Live a Little' Crispy Platter, it had some battered dipped and fried veggies, mozzarella sticks and spring rolls with 3 dipping sauces. Really good. She had a Chipotle Ranch Chicken Sandwich, very crispy crust on the chicken, she loved it. I ordered the open face burger called, The Green Monster Burger. It had some spice but it was very good. We hit happy hour and a 22 oz Michelob Ultra draft was under $6. Our server was Marissa, she was very polite and quick to take our order. I've gone to backyards several times, and tonight was horrible. It's a sports bar. I ordered an appetizer and two martinis. They charged me $100. They double charged me for martinis saying that it was double the price because i ordered grey goose. The last time i paid $25 for a martini i was at a nice steakhouse. Not a sports bar? Then they charged a credit card processing fee AND added an auto gratuity of 20%. I have ordered a martini from here previously and it was $12. I brought it to the attention of the server and she said it was double the price because i ordered grey goose? I will not be returning. Didn't even bring waters. What should have been a $50 night quickly turned into a $100 night because the server wanted to overcharge so she could add gratuity and make a bigger tip. Really horrible experience. However, a big however... this place changed with a bartender who thinks her breasts are going to get her through life and an owner / manager / not sure, because his presence is lacking and seems more like a busser. With tax delivery and tip it was actually over $100. But that's neither here nor there. Wings first fried then grilled is normal but not to a black charcoal crisp. I ordered a Boy Blue Burger for takeout, with a bacon addition. What I received was a dry patty with bacon. It's called a Boy Blue Burger because it comes with blue cheese. And like all burgers, it comes with tomato, onions, and pickles. At least that's what the description says. Yet, the burger came with NOTHING EXCEPT BACON. No cheese. No tomato. No onions. No pickle. Well, here we go. Fine independent establishment not far from the 101 and our hotel. They played mostly country music but also reggae and Hawaiian (?). Clean place with covered outdoor seating when available. We first came here once two nights ago. 5 star service, GREAT food! I had the brisket sandwich (super tender but came without any extras like lettuce, tomato, etc - but I didn't think it needed it) and garlic mashed potatoes that were light in garlic flavor and came without gravy. Ordered a side of empanadas (delicious) with red pepper sauce which lacked heat but had good flavor. Boyfriend had the buffalo burger which was cooked beautifully but without any condiments, and a side salad with spicy ranch dressing that packed a punch to the point he was almost sweating. It was a great experience, and we chatted with the staff - Eric was super friendly and down-to-earth, and Natasha was on point! Dinner came to $45 with drinks to go. We returned for lunch today. I ordered the green monster medium rare, which was neither green nor had any chiles I could find. It was cooked medium well. I asked for no cheese and I received two kinds on top. The meat was very well cooked and that was the best part of my meal. I ordered a side of sweet potato tots; I got fries. Boyfriend ordered the chicken tenders which he couldn't eat because they were too burnt and hard to even chew. He ordered a side of sweet potato fries and that's what he got. We ordered the cherry and peach cobbler a la mode but they forgot the ice cream. The cobbler isn't bad but it's a little light on the caramel. And yes, we got the empanadas again - totally worth it. Total for two people came to $41. I said I'd give them one more try to redeem themselves; boyfriend said "no way." I guess it depends who's working? Try the empanadas. read more

The beer selection was pretty good (some locals), but make sure to ask what else they have. Multiple beers were not listed on the menu. The only reason for 4 stars is because the doors were open to the patio where multiple people were smoking both cigarettes and cigars, the smoke was flowing into the building. Gross! Also it's still a little to hot out and the doors were letting in a ton of heat. If there was no smoke it would be 5 stars! read more

The atmosphere was friendly enough but very empty during happy hour, which it was just a Tuesday with no real sporting event happening. The bartender was nice and helpful. We were excited to try the "Goliath" wings, but they weren't really Goliath...they were wings. We tried 3 different sauces and not real impressed although the mango-habanero was very tasty.
