This was a very disappointing experience. We arrived with such high hopes after a glowing endorsement from our limo driver (shout out to Philip) and a local sommelier. Things quickly turned sideways because: - The menu was overly complicated (i.e., a dining establishment that serves hot dogs and hamburgers should not require an extensive tutorial). - We ordered a bottle of 1988 Napa Reserve, but the cork was crumbled when the wait staff removed it from the bottle. Rather than offering a different bottle, we were provided complimentary mason jars and coffee filters. - The bathrooms reeked of a stale swamp. - The "sauerkraut" on our hot dogs was just roughly chopped cabbage. - Our food took over 60 minutes to arrive at our table. This was distressing because Philip charges by the hour. The service and staff were quite friendly. We appreciated the tasteful outdoor seating and complimentary games corn hole. However, these positive features are not enough to outweigh the poor food, glacially slow service and sulfur-scented bathrooms. I shall only return to see if this review is posted in the bathroom. read more

Stopped at a few wineries along RT 14 by Seneca Lake and asked for good food recommendations. Everyone said you must stop at FLX Wienery! We took the advice and wow... were they spot on! The 4 of us enjoyed a few different type of hot dogs ie...chorizo, Italian with all types of awesome toppings. Great fries, amazing beer selection, alcoholic milkshakes and a great dessert choices. The food, service and atmosphere were awesome. Highly recommend when in this winery region! read more

Delicious food, laid back restaurant and locally sourced food. I tried the basic wiener, Lemon fries and Poutine. There are nice picnic tables outside to relax at while enjoying the food. I would 100% recommend stopping here if you are visiting wineries in the area because the location is extremely convenient and the food is amazing. I will be back to try the homemade chips! read more

Exceeded all of my expectations. Read about this place in Food and Wine and stopped after our 4th winery on NYE. The bf and I both made our own creations - I had a house made brat with pickled corn relish and debris (crushed up salt lake chips) and it was hands down the best brat I've ever had. Bf tried the white hot (uncured and unsmoked wiener - we had never heard of them) with sausage gravy, debris, and lettuce, which sounds ridiculous, but it was also out of this world. Had the special fries 'royal' on the side - with cilantro, foie gras, and truffle mayo - wowowowow. The lake salt fries are the perfect vehicle for toppings, as they are small and crispy. Washed them down with a Genesee cream ale and left with the cashier's recommendation of a pretzel caramel milkshake spiked with Buffalo Trace. Cashier also came over to us and gave some recommendations for breweries along the way. Five stars. read more

This place is awesome!!! The decor is no nonsense and adds to the fun of eating there, as well as is reflective of the price. I ordered the kraut on a white hot dog. It was juicy and seasoned deliciously. The kraut was both sweet and briny, with a good crunch. Fried Onions were like the French's crispy onions instead of sautéed, which surprised me but were still delicious and the crunch was nice. I added bread and butter pickles which were a nice addition. My husband got a red dog with bacon and chip crumbles (in my opinion a lot of saltiness but he liked it). We also got the herb fries, which were just a touch too salty but I balanced that with ketchup. Overall an awesome place and we wish we lived closer!! read more

Growing pains? Call ahead before you leave the house and find out if and when any tour buses/wedding parties are expected that day and time your arrival accordingly. They'll know because I was told by staff that, at least in the case of the tour buses, orders are called in ahead of time. Unfortunately, that efficiency didn't overcome our waits for seating or the one working bathroom. After an hour-and-a-half drive we arrived when both a winery tour and a wedding party were in-house and commandeering at least three-quarters of the seating with the rest of the space taken by people like us. After a considerable wait we got a table and placed our order for 2 hamburgers, an order of fries, a house beer and a red wine. The food came promptly once the order was in, but the fries were only slightly warm and went quickly to room temperature. Our burgers, while cooked to order and tasty, had gristle in the coarse-ground meat - that's done-and-done for me. The staff was friendly, competent, and apologetic. We hope they can figure out the bus/party/facility issue. We'll try it again sometime because it has the potential to be as good as their web site makes it out to be, but we'll definitely call first and not make it the reason for the road trip. read more

Great hots and sausages with large variety of toppings. Very tasty. Nice stop while doing the winery tours. Fast service.

It's no secret that there are very few restaurant options along the lake - but this sure is a good option to have! Classic as well as creative options for hot dogs and burgers alike, and we weren't disappointed. Would happily visit again next trip to Seneca! read more

Awesome place... food was fabulous and the staff outstanding. We are stopping back before we leave town!

GO GO GO! This place is the bomb. Food is amazing, drink selection is insane. I got a braut with chili and I ate the whole monster of a meal without even trying. Perfect if you're drinking in the finger lakes or hanging out with your family. read more

Stopped here on the way south from Geneva on someone's recommendation. It was great, the staff was so friendly and we're very eager to help with any questions. Between four people we had 3 brats, 2 hot dogs, poutine and drinks and it was under $40. The food was awesome and very reasonable will definitely be back in the future read more

Great menu. Looks like the locally made dogs (Shierk's) are no longer avail tho. Milkshakes are good. Kimchi fries are no joke. Menu is confusing & guests often need a walk through. Orders are often wrong & food is slow to arrive. Hopefully the service & menu will be streamlined to cut den on the wait times & mixed up orders. read more

Been here twice now. The dogs are delicious, the staff is delightful, and the atmosphere is great. I look forward to FLX Wienery whenever I'm in the area. read more

Wow! This place was so good. Wished we had come earlier in our trip. Excellent burger. Great combination of toppings. Had the all american without the egg...the corn relish, cilantro, bacon and cheese were mouthwatering. Kids loved the plain red hots and cheeseburgers. Cheese curds were salty but good. Fun place. Really nice service. Cute shirts! read more

The atmosphere is lackluster, but the food and the service is top notch. Great beers on tap. Friendly service. Fun food choices. A must-try if in the area. read more

This place might not look like much from the outside. But if you want a delicious burger, a burger cooked to perfection that all ingredients hit every note on your palette, This is it! This is hands down the best place to eat. I'm talking finger licking good!!! read more

Awesome! The chef came out and gave us some personal attention and samples!! A lot of home made items. Any place with homemade toasted marshmallows and deep fried Nutella has to be experienced! read more

Everything here is amazing!!! Plus they have a bunch of gluten free options that are celiac safe (something rare in the area!)

Husband and I had two kraut brats. Came with onion rings on top, so keep in mind if you order a side. Very filling. EXTREMELY good!

amazing place! the food is delicious and different and we loved how many gluten-free options there are. there aren't any GF buns, though - maybe you could add that as an option? there is a full bar and lots of wine options, or you can BYOB. next time we'll try the milkshakes! read more

We are not local, and we were driving from Watkins to Geneva and stopped in for lunch. We live over an hour away, and WILL be making the trip back just to eat here again! The poutine is different than the typical (the gravy is a lighter gravy, and it's just...different). But unbelievably delicious! There was only one person working (there was only one other table so it wasn't a big deal). But he took the time to come out and explain the menu, and then got the food out very quickly! The burgers were also delicious, we just couldn't stop eating poutine!!! read more

Interesting food items as well as certain ice cream concoctions. Had the carmel bacon sundae. It was pretty good. But, beware the "chocolate malt" shake is made with Nutella!! Didn't know that before purchasing, wasn't happy at all with it. read more

We were traveling up US 14 and tasting wines. We needed to get lunch and were recommended to stop here. OMG! What a place! The food is great and the service is over the top! Our son had the half chicken cooked in lard. My wife had the kimchi burger and I the blue burger. Sure, it is not as cheap as Mackers. The burgers are well worth the stop. Before we could ask for help, the service would ask how they could help us. read more

We stopped here on my sisters bachelorette. I don't live in the area and relied heavily on yelp to find places to eat. This place doesn't disappoint! The girls were loud (I hadn't drank yet) but everyone who worked there was so nice, polite, patient, and informative. They gave us samples of what they had on tap and of wine. The chef came out and ask us how everything was. And the food... the food is amazing. I wish they would open one out by me in LA. I'd be there in a heartbeat! read more

Burgers were great, meat was good and cooked well. They have unique styles not seen anywhere else and they had a vast selection of unique desserts that included a Nutella milkshake, roasted marshmallows and creamsicle floats! My friend had the bourbon milkshake and loved it! They had some pretty cool shirts for sale as well that stated "nobody beats are wieners" and "our wieners are huge in Japan" so that will tell you what kind of a joint this is....interesting and unique...not for the uptight read more

Came across this place while doing some wine tasting along Seneca Lake. The sign in front said "Best burgers in 'Murica" so we HAD to try it. Glad to say that the burgers were relatively good, albeit not the best in 'Murica. The place was packed, so even though we asked for our burgers to be cooked medium, we expected them to be closer to well-done either way. And this they were. There were a lot of toppings that could be placed on the burgers which made for interesting creations. The big disappointment came with the fries. Fries are served in a flower pot--akin to five-guys fries--however, all of our fries were burnt. All were thin, overly crispy, and dark-colored. We also tried some of their milkshakes. In particular, the salted caramel milkshake was not thick at all (as if we were poured a glass of milk) and had barely any caramel in it. All in all, an ok place to stop by while wine tasting. read more

This place is incredible. I shared the happy couple meal and got the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese as sides. It's the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. See if you can get a pear cider to pair with the chicken. It's great. The people are amazing and so it the atmosphere. It's a spectacular place. I hope they stay in business forever and that they never change. read more

We had lunch here after visiting two wineries nearby. This place would be great on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives! All wieners, sausages and burgers on menu along with other sides such as onion rings, fries, fried cheese curds. My husband had the chorizo sausage, fries and the beer bomb. I had the bratwurst with kraut, spicy mustard and fried onions. And fresh herbs. Plus fried cheese curds as a side and iced tea to drink. All the food was good and is locally made. The only negative was the cheese curds were very salty. My husband was surprised that his 16 oz. beer was $15. It was strong beer, but he said not worth the $15. I did notice a green salad and quinoa salad on the menu and also a chicken burger, if you want to go healthy. Overall we would return, but probably not get the beer bomb. Interesting place. Good music and service. read more

Great stop for quality grub at a reasonable price. We have 3 young boys and they loved the hot dogs. The burger were cooked exactly as ordered which shouldn't be a big deal but they did a great job. Solid rotation of beers on tap and a nice win selection. No corking fee if you bring a local wine. Outdoor game were a hit with the kids. Expect a casual atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and nice. read more

Another amazing meal! Even on a slow Monday afternoon the food was amazing and our service excellent. My wife and I highly recommend!

If you haven't been to The Wienery on Rt. 14 in Dundee it is a MUST. As a vegetarian, I thought it was a "fancy hot dog" joint.... Oh my goodness was I wrong. I had a full Roasted Carrot, "State Fair style" (peppers, onions, smoked ketchup, mushrooms) with goat cheese and spicy kimchee and a side of spicy onion rings. My boyfriend had a chorizo dog, "whole hog style" (fried onion, bacon, cheese curds, corn relish, fried egg, chipotle mayo and herbs). LOOOOVE!!!!! read more

Four of us had different things and everything was great. Hamburgers were what hamburgers are supposed to be. I had carmelized onions on mine and it was delicious. A great place if you have to be gluten-free. They don't use any wheat flour. Only thing that has wheat is regular buns. They have a dedicated fryer (nothing with gluten is fried in it) so I had my first french fries in five years. Our food was prepared to specification and served in good time..Service was very personal. We all agreed we would be back. read more

The food was amazing, we ordered two specialty burgers, a hot dog, and poutine. Everything was a gem, but the highlight is really the poutine. My only complaint would be their specialty burgers are a little pricey. Also their little bottles of root beer were so cute and delicious as well! read more

This is not a place I thought I would love, but I loved it so much that I had to go back the next day. Vegetarians - don't worry, there are plenty of options for you. I had the roasted carrot dog twice, each time with different toppings. First time, I took the staff's recommendation of corn relish, goat cheese, and onions. They certainly don't go easy on the toppings and it was divine. The carrot is perfectly roasted and has different flavor tones. The second time I went more traditional and got lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and one other topping I can't recall. Just as delicious. For you meat eaters out there, you'll be overwhelmed with joy at the options. My husband and friends were ecstatic about this place. They also have bottled sodas and delicious fries. Don't forget the milkshakes or the fried oreos. Were the fries a little greasy? Yes. But, I think this concept is hilarious and it was a delightful lunch spot in the middle of all the regular wineries. read more

Today I went to FLX weinry. It was good. Like the burger was fine but, the chips were too salty and the caramel and bacon milkshake tasted like a caramel milkshake. The onion ring were amazing. The service was great our food came in a flash and the the servers were nice and looked happy to be there. BTW In the first bathroom has the wall of shame which is the wall of bad yelp reviews. They have funny t-shirts one said "I like pigs butts and I cannot lie. read more
