I visited this place for the first time today with my grandma and niece. I can't say enough about our whole experience here! The food was great and reasonably priced. The portion sizes were good! We had a new server and she was on top of everything. We sat in the back where the kitchen is and the cook (he may have been the owner) treated my niece like gold. We went on Valentine's Day and he brought her out a sliced apple before we ate. Asked if she would like ice cream and what Taylor swift song she would like him to play . Really good food. The chicken parm sandwich with onion rings as a side hit the spot. Eclectic atmosphere. Slow-ish service but fine otherwise. Pool tables/bar area and restaurant. The Jay's salad with walnuts and Craisins was good, and the buffalo chicken salad was pretty good as well. read more

What a fabulous yet low key gem! I cannot believe I've lived in this area for so many years and hadn't been to Crossroads until yesterday! My friend got the Reuben (which she proclaimed as delicious) and I got the French Onion soup and a Caesar salad, also delicious. Our waitperson was fantastic (forgot her name) and the liquor prices are very reasonable (we got a bottle of Bright Leaf Chardonnay). The owner/Chef Jay came out to deliver the food and also checked on us more than once. I kind of wish I lived in Lansing instead of Dryden because this place would make a fabulous "local". I'll definitely be back because I hear the "Jay salad" as well as the "beanie burger" are pretty epic. read more

Hearty and filling food after a long trip through a blizzard. It was my first time eating there even though I have driven by for years. We ordered their fries, two different soups, the Italian sandwich (can't find it in the menu or in my photos, but it was a sandwich with Italian sauce instead of BBQ). Food was good. As a tourist, I loved this locals spot! The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The kitchen crew works like a well-oiled machine and is very entertaining. Ordered take out from this place. Rookie mistake they put all the crispy foods in a plastic container without venting so everything got soggy, no biggie we just reheated it once we got it home Chicken Parmesan sandwich: the chicken and sauce was actually decent. However they put it on a hamburger bun, such a sin; and for the price not worth it. French fries were fine once reheated. Garbage wings: I mean they are a solid ok better once reheated and crisped up. They put the side dressing and veggies in the same container, so nice a warm haha. The sauce was good. Probably better on site. Service: Took about 30 mins on a Sunday night for the take out order. They were pretty busy so makes sense. (However, they did lose a credit card in our party and then tried to blame our party member, when in fact they gave their card to the wrong person haha awkward, but stuff happens all good) Ambiance: Nice enough. Clean. Can get noisy when busy but that's their vibe. read more

The fast and considerate service was a highlight, and the food was also awesome. We had the classic quesadilla and the brownie with ice cream for dessert, both were delicious. Some friends and I planned to meet at the Crossroads Bar and Grill last week. Before hand, I looked at the menu online and had strong doubts, but then I read about the owner's background and and the many rave reviews, I thought that maybe he must have a interesting take on standard bar food. He definitely did not! Here I'll paste text from the Crossroads website: "The Crossroads Bar & Grille is a family style Restaurant/Bar in Lansing, NY, located a short ten minutes from downtown Ithaca. We have both a restaurant and bar menu serving a premium selection for our diverse clientele. We serve to the local wine, beer, and spirit connoisseurs, as well as families looking for high quality foods set in a welcoming family atmosphere. Whether you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience, just out for a sandwich, or hanging out with some friends, The Crossroads Bar & Grille has everything you need." I think that the above quote from his website is the source of our ultimate disappointment. The website lead us to expect something special. It definitely was not at all an "unforgettable dining experience." Without this text, we would have expected a standard bar/roadhouse restaurant. We would have had fun and enjoyed the place and its food for what it was-a bar with rather typical bar food, neither better nor worse than most. We definitely would not have been disappointed. I can say, though, that the serving staff were very pleasant and helpful, so I feel bad leaving such a poor rating and critique! read more

The manager, Theresa, sat down with us (& our stupid map of Finger Lakes wine country) & helped prioritize the best wineries to go to. Jay, the owner, was behind the bar tonight pouring generously, and charging prices that were much more humble than we are used to in Southeastern CT. Great local beer selection and exceptionally good food. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is a gem and a local staple. The wait staff is so sweet as well. I got the Chatty Wrap and I could not recommend it more. It was slam packed full of flavor and not a huge portion. My fiancé got the fried haddock sandwich and said it was the best fried fish sandwich he's had. The Irish fries are well worth the pick since they taste vinegary and crisp with the accompanying aioli. I would love to return as soon as I can! read more

First time visit, but will not be my last. My burger was so juicy and flavorful; the best I have had in a long time. It was cooked just the way I like it. The fries were crispy, not some soggy mess that other places serve. My friend had the Irish chips and they were delicious. It's a pub type atmosphere, so don't expect fine dining. The menu is varied and the wait staff very congenial. I live close by and never ate here before, but will definitely be back. read more

This was my favorite restaurant 3 years and I thought I'd go back after moving away for a year. I was pretty disappointed of how blah it was. I realized how scraped up the table was. The menus are paper for covid and I wanted to put it aside but I didn't want it have my plate on the beat up table that didn't like a smooth surface that could be easily cleaned. Service is fairly fast and portions are still big, but it wasn't too flavorful or outstanding. Sweet potato fries are my favorite side. read more
