Great outdoor seating, at times it can be a little windy though. The indoor space is small but has a cozy feel in the winter. The beer is excellent, always able to find multiple beers on tap that I enjoy. Menu is basically pizza with a few other option but the pizza is very good. Love the atmosphere and outdoor seating at Salt Point. It's great to go to a brewery that has an expansive food menu. Tons of pizza, salad options, snacks, and specials. The special this day was a cuban sandwich. We opted for the cup and char pizza with that. Sandwich was a great. Slow cooked pork, fresh pickles. The pizza could have used one more minute to get a real char on the pepperoni but other than that, great sauce I got the hazy IPA and my boyfriend got the Citra. For being a Citra, it was a little dark. He didn't love his choice but I thought the Hazy was good. I'd like to try more of their beers because it's a great space and friendly staff. read more

Went just for the pizza. Ordered 2 of their specials-Buffalo Chicken and prosciutto and pepper with ricotta. I also decide to try the beet salad. We placed our order at the counter and then wait for your pager to go off when it's ready. Process was pretty fast ( about 20 minute wait for food). The Buffalo chicken pizza was VERY good. The Prosciutto and peppers seemed to be missing something. The prosciutto is placed on AFTER the pizza is cooked. I think it would be better if cooked with the pie. I also think maybe some fig jam on the pie would have added to the taste. I liked the idea of the ricotta cheese however it was still was missing something. The beat salad was just ok. This brewery is absolutely fantastic. We went for Oktoberfest. It is very family friendly and the grounds are beautiful We ordered a sampler and some food. The pizza is amazing. I enjoyed every beer I had. They have flagship brews as well as some rotating taps. Even though it was a busy day I did not feel like I was waiting in lines long- they were property staffed. My girls painted pumpkins and had a wonderful time. The live band they had was very good. We will visit again. read more

Delicious beer. They have 8 taps. They do flights of 4 for $8 or flights of 6 for $10. The bartender offered to let us try all 8. Not sure whether he would have charged us for 2 flights of 4 for $16 or cut us a break, but I didn't ask. There are about 10 seats at the bar so it's a small, intimate place. They have a small snack food menu of about 10 items. I can't speak for any of it, but some of the options were very appealing. They have some cool merchandise for sale as well, but no beer to go, either in growlers or any other format, though this may be for legal reasons. Not sure what the brewery laws are in NY State. Plenty of parking in the back. Be careful upon exiting. There's somewhat of a blind spot to your left. read more

No place I would rather spend a summer Friday night in Ithaca. I live up the road in Lansing and feel so lucky that this place is in my neighborhood. We love this place! The new location gives plenty of space to spread out inside or out! Since moving to the area, we've been sorely disappointed by the pizza but we found our place. My fiancé suggests coming here multiple nights a week because we love it so much. Delicious wood-fired pizzas and the salads are generous and healthy and delicious too. Beer is fantastic, highly recommend the IPAs. And the pizza they make is delicious... just one suggestion, if you're going to claim Taco Tuesday, please do it right, seriously. Spending $15 on a taco platter that isn't put together? Insulting. The sizing of the dish for the price is... absurd. Overall, this was a mediocre experience. I may be a little harsh giving the company 3 stars, as I am a fan, but I am tired of upstate NY getting away with supplying mediocre central/south American food. Perhaps add some more variety, extra ingredients, include more food, or lower the price. The location: It had a distinct "family vibe" with lots of parents with kids in tow, plus dogs and outdoor games. Luckily there was some room to spread out!! Note it is weirdly tucked between a busy road and a housing development? The beer: I got a cream ale I think? To be honest, it was forgettable and I wasn't keen to have more than one. There were non alcoholic/non beer options which were appreciated. The food: we didn't love the snack board, and felt it was super pricey for a tray that included pumpkin seeds, triscut and Ritz crackers. Pizza: I am ALWAYS down for pizza. ALWAYS. This pizza started strong, pizza cups are a win, it was a bit burned on the crust (still ok) but soggy in the middle. Again, I can get past that. It was the sauce, Too sweet perhaps, not actually pizza sauce? Simply a fail. I will champion the underdog, sometimes to a fault and occasionally at personal expense, but candidly many of the beers being produced are nearly the same in flavor profile, ABV and mouthfeel regardless of stated style and description. The Hefe is described as including ingredients reserved for Belgian beers as Hefes derive their flavor from the yeast used. This may be trivial to some, but overall It seemed as though the intention is pure, but the delivery is clumsy. Candidly it was an enjoyable vibe, but as others have mentioned the beer itself needs refinement. There were some youngsters around, so if that's not your thing, look elsewhere. Really happy to have this spot here! Love the casual atmosphere. I am not a huge pale ale or IPA person but I found a beer I enjoyed a couple pints of. It was a nice evening out so our group of 7 sat out in the back, which was really nice. The music was a little loud but since it was just us (it was a Monday night) we were able to make ourselves heard above it. Staff was chill and friendly. We were just passing by from out of town and noticed the sign so decided to check it out. Very warm, friendly vibe. Had a flight and enjoyed them all. The Citra IPA and NE IPA especially so we took home a couple growlers. Pleasantly surprised they had a menu of small fare. We enjoyed a yummy grilled cheese on rosemary focaccia with the soup of the day along with a very tasty cheese plate. Best of luck. So happy we stumbled upon this great spot. read more

The owners Chris and Camilo were very friendly and open in their recent adventure in opening their brewery. Their story is quite interesting, how they came to name the establishment, logo and choice of beers to first serve. The beer is crafted to serve a variety of palates from pale ales to a saison with a soon to be announced stout. I tried all their beers and all are well balanced none are strikingly the best beers I've had, but they are certainly on par with some of the more established breweries in Tompkins county. The dark saison was my favorite. It had a subtle sour taste with a fruity body and ending with a wheaty undertone finishing off with a banana-like after-taste, very pleasant. Coming in on the first month of their grand opening was a great first impression. I cannot wait to see how they grow and evolve their business and craft. read more

Stopped in Salt Point Brewing Co. driving back from Ithaca to Aurora last Sunday where we were staying for the weekend. My wife and I enjoyed a couple of their very good beers and had an especially good charcuterie board of local sausage, cheeses and fruits... So, I read other postings and have to assume these folks are not regulars to breweries. This is done in the worst way. ALL the beers taste the same with similar alcohol %. We ordered a burnt pretzel and a grainy obviously store bought hummus that was awful. There were multiple lip prints on both our glasses. Gross anytime but unacceptable during a pandemic. After my second visit, it became clear that this place is VERY family\ child friendly which is not what serious beer drinkers want in a brewery visit. Kids running around breaking glasses is not a fun environment. I was hopeful for this place - its near my job and the area needs options. I will not visit again. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday with the missus. Had the marguerite pizza which was just ok. Not great. For some reason we ordered the chips and onion dip for an appetizer. Thought it would be something different and special. Nope. Kettle chips and a ramekin of onion dip. Six dollars. For chips and dip. I crap you negative. The Ludlowville Lager was good as was the glass of Merlot. There isn't table service. You order at the front when you come in. When paying with a credit card, there is a prompt to leave a tip.
