Menu. - Menu from Personal Best Brewing with craft beers such as sour beers, IPAs, and Czech-style lagers, along with BBQ food and sides.

The massive shuffleboards in the back look like a lot of fun. The overall vibe is exposed concrete and utilitarianism. I visited on a "brew day," which meant the brewery was filled with a yeasty, hobby, mash smell, which was fascinating. I had a nice conversation with the people behind the bar about their brewing processes. From their menu in that conversation, it appears they may sub-specialize in sours, which is very cool depending on one's palate. Would definitely visit again.

This a a great location in downtown Ithaca and has great beers to boot. Awesome staff and very open atmosphere. Professional shuffleboard courts. Huge outside area. And they have Fittnell BBQ right inside the brewery. Husband and wife team who do a great job. Food is great!!! Brisket is so tender and moist. Ribs were great. Pickles were to die for. Heard that sometimes they run out of brisket so order early. Pulled pork was really tasty. Chicken things were great per my wife. Smoked sauce with cheese was really tasty my wife did not. Are for them oh well. Baby portabella mushrooms were great too. The pickles onions were really tasty as well. Mac and cheese was really good too! We shall return.

If microbrew had a vibe this would be it. Nice staff, plenty of space, and activities. And don't forget they have beer! Only tried a couple and hope to come back to discover more. Inside in some parts does get loud as the sound bounces off the concrete floor, but it's a bar. If the weather is nice outdoor space is perfect to chill and have a nice beer.

    Flight!!!

Honestly I really enjoyed it, it exceeded my expectations. Robin was an awesome pourer and explained the beers very well. Definitely coming back, he hooked it up!

Friendly service, awesome space and delicious beer. A bit pricey but I'm willing to pay for the overall atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Airy and fun feeling. Long beer line moved quickly. I really like this place. Not a meat eater but the BBQ looks really good.

Visiting Ithaca and happened across this place when they were having a Fittnell BBQ "popup" (Friday and Saturday night apparently).

They have a very limited menu (roast beef sandwich, bowl of chips and hummus bowl). The bartender was fantastic! We'd definitely visit again when in the area.

We had the chance to try some great beers, and one unique experience stood out: mixing two beers together, a concept similar to a blend in the wine world. As the bartender put it, "It's a game we like to play." On tap, they had a solid lineup: 1. Hector Logger - A traditional lager (4.9% ABV) 2. Goatmaster Kölsch - A crisp Kölsch (5.1% ABV), which I tried and really enjoyed 3. RedBeard - A Red Ale (5% ABV), a reliable go-to beer 4. Cream Ale - A bit different at 6.7% ABV, more robust than the typical lower-ABV versions 5. Golden Crush - A hazy IPA (5.1% ABV) that had nice fruit-forward notes, but not overpowering 6. X IPA - An Imperial IPA (7.8% ABV) Mosaic! Mosaic! - A Pale Ale (5.2% ABV) that followed the traditional pale ale profile and was very enjoyable 7. Goatmeal Stout - An Oatmeal Stout (8.1% ABV) Then came the blends--something I hadn't seen much of before. The only one I tried was 1. Goat Juice, a 50/50 mix of Hazy IPA and Kölsch (5.1% ABV). It was bursting with amazing flavors, the best of both worlds. Some of their other blends included: 2. Red X - A mix of Red Ale and Imperial IPA 3. Goatgasm - A Kölsch and IPA blend 4. Headbutt - A Stout and Cream Ale combo I tend to gravitate toward Hazies, Kölsches, and Pale Ales, so this place hit all the right notes for me. I can't wait to come back and see what new creations they have on tap next time!

No one greeted us when we walked in either. Hence, we were just sitting and confused on what was going on until we realized that we had to go to the front to order. Would have been nice if someone mentioned to us in the beginning that there wasn't table service or at least greeted us. The menu had VERY limited options. Lowkey looked through it and found nothing that I really wanted. They only had one type of mocktail. The beef and the fries were ok, nothing spectacular. Fries came with ketchup but I wish they had more sauce options at least. The beer was pretty good but I think my favorite was probably the one mocktail that they had in their menu. It had a sour kick to it, which I really liked. Overall, I probably wouldn't come here again unless if I had to. The ambiance was nice though.

The smashburger here is pretty solid and better than any other burger in ctown (I'm looking at you, Jack's Grill). The fries were also decent. The beer selection was plentiful and had anything you could ask for. I really enjoyed the ambiance as well because it felt more spacious and renovated than the previous CTB that occupied here. Service was not half bad also.
