Aurora Brewing - From there patio - Breweries Near Me - King Ferry, New York

Legit great beer but have to start by saying the pizza is a star. Top quality ingredients, perfect dough, and baked just right. Sitting on their large patio overlooking g the lake while eating an entire pie is an experience I want again soon. But it is a brewing company and the beer is great. People are friendly and the spot is super comfortable. Hidden gem of a spot that deserves a visit if you're any where nearby. Wish we lived closer! read more

Visit started really well by very pleasant and helpful staff behind the counter. Beer was very good. Liked that you could try samples as well. Nice outdoor seating area with corn hole and shuffleboard to keep you busy. Good view of the lake as well. Food took a while but we were warned when we ordered. Got two pizzas and both were good. My favorite was the street corn pizza. Would definitely recommend it. read more

Went for a ride to the east side of Cayuga Lake- and to the village of Aurora. So a stop at the original Aurora Brewing was in order! I had the Fresh to Death flagship hazy IPA - which was excellent! A nice hoppy flavor and slightly fruity. The wife ordered the Greek Chicken salad- a classic dish with IPA marinated chicken, romaine, olives , tomatoes and feta cheese. I ordered the Grandma's Meatball Parmesan wood fired pizza. You can get a wood fired or deep dish style pizza. The pizza had meatballs, ricotta cheese, roasted red peppers and hot tomato oil. Tasty! We sat out on the deck in the back overlooking Cayuga Lake. It's a beautiful spot. Indoors looked like your standard brewery with hightop tables. It's worth the drive from Rochester! read more

Absolutely LOVED this place! Searching through maps trying to find a new place for a drink and a snack...Aurora Brewing did not disappoint! All of the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful while we ordered and waited for our food! We got the margherita pizza and a couple beers (Falling Into Place and Krush Fresh to Death w/ Phantasm) to eat in the outdoor area! It was a bit windy that day but the sun was out and the vibes were great!! We will definitely be back more this year! read more

Aurora Brewing - Some of the best wings we ever had! (And we're from Buffalo). Get them with the house blend sauce! - Breweries Near Me - King Ferry, New York

Our next stop took us completely by surprise when @winecraft suggested checking out Aurora Brewing Co.--a place that hadn't originally made it onto our itinerary. But let's be honest--if there's a brewery nearby, there's no way I'm skipping it. A Little History & Atmosphere Aurora Brewing Co. has been brewing up great beer for over a decade. What started in a small, modest space has grown into a well-loved local gem, thanks to its commitment to producing high-quality, flavorful beers and cultivating a laid-back, welcoming vibe. With a reputation that has only continued to build over the years, they've since expanded into a larger space, creating an even better experience for beer lovers passing through the Finger Lakes region. One of the more charming aspects of this brewery? Their two resident cats, who, in true feline fashion, have taken full ownership of the place. These adorable brewery mascots live outside in heated shelters with unlimited food--a true cat paradise. Watching them roam around and interact with guests was an unexpected highlight of the visit. It added to the brewery's cozy, community-driven atmosphere, where even the animals seem to be enjoying the good life. The Beer Lineup As always, I couldn't resist sampling a few different beers, each offering something unique: Pilsner Style Lager (4.2% ABV) - A clean, crisp, and refreshing brew that's light on the palate but packed with flavor. It had that classic pilsner smoothness with a nice balance of malt and hops, making it perfect for easy drinking. Nectaron Fresh to Death Hazy IPA (6.8% ABV) - One of their flagship brews, featuring a small but powerful dose of Nectaron hops. This IPA leaned fruity and juicy, delivering notes of tropical citrus and stone fruit, while still maintaining a nice hoppy backbone. Smooth, vibrant, and incredibly drinkable--this one was an instant favorite. Aliens Hover (6.5% ABV) - A new-school West Coast IPA, but with a slightly juicier profile than your standard West Coast offering. Packed with Citra hops, this one was bright, bold, and bursting with citrus zest and piney bitterness, striking a nice balance between classic and modern IPA styles. Ultimately, I went with the Nectaron Fresh to Death Hazy IPA, but let's be real--if I hadn't been heading to another winery afterward, I probably would have gone for a full flight. They had an impressive selection of hazy IPAs, each with its own unique hop blend and character, making it a must-visit for hop lovers. Overall Impressions Aurora Brewing Co. is exactly the kind of brewery you want to stumble upon--unpretentious, inviting, and full of great beer and good vibes. The space itself has a warm, rustic feel, making it the perfect spot to kick back with a fresh pour. Even better, they serve in-house food, which is always a plus when you're hopping between breweries and wineries. While I didn't get a chance to eat, the menu looked solid, featuring pub-style comfort food that pairs well with their beer lineup. If you're in the Finger Lakes area, this spot is absolutely worth the stop. Whether you're a lager enthusiast, IPA fanatic, or just looking for a fun, laid-back spot to grab a drink, Aurora Brewing Co. delivers on all fronts. And if you're a cat lover? Well, that's just an extra bonus. read more

Excellent food service and views!!! We had the pork, fish and buffalo chicken wrap all were excellent. Must stop!!

A very mixed experience. The not-good: the whole place had a terrible fly problem, especially outside on the picnic tables. We're talking hundreds of flies. Going inside to eat helped quite a bit, though we couldn't enjoy the view that way. Another not-good: service, even on a Thursday, was incredibly slow. We're talking over an hour to get our pizza, and over 2 hours to get a side dish. But the good news is that there was no wait for the beer, and the food, when it arrived, was excellent. If we go back, it will definitely be when the weather cools down so we can enjoy the view without fighting flies. read more

Visited here with some friends on a rainy, gloomy and chilly Sunday afternoon. We had hoped the new patio area would have been enclosed or that they might have had patio heaters, but unfortunately not. In any case, we found ourselves a low table and made do. Their beer selection is IPA heavy, but the do have a few other choices: a saison, a dark coffee/maple lager, a fruited sour, and an easy going german style light beer. They were all well made. The highlight for us were the Cuban sandwiches which were easily the best we'd had outside of the ones we make at home. They also came with chips which were fresh and crunchy. We had a good time and would love to visit again when the weather cooperates because the view is stunning. read more

Great pizza and salad. The beer choices looked good too. Friendly staff and great deck sitting overlooking the vineyard and sunset in the distance. Family friendly as well. The day we went back they also had live music. What more can I say? Will go back anytime we'll be in the area. read more

First off, it's a beautiful drive to get here. We came from Ithaca. The brewery faces grape fields and the lake. The view magnificent. There are horses right there off the seating area. The interior is nice and clean, with a cool vibe. The staff was super helpful in finding me a sweeter beer. I normally don't like beer until I tried Your Brain on Fruit. Anyone who wants a sweeter beer--- this was amazing!! There is ample seating outside on the deck and in the grassy area facing the lake and fields. I will definitely be back! read more

Aurora Brewing - View from the deck. - Breweries Near Me - King Ferry, New York

Fantastic gem of a brewery--a fun place to hang with great service, an impressive and diverse beer selection, and food you should absolutely not sleep on either. Everything feels casual and fun yet well thought out--even their can artwork and merch is top notch. Everyone or who I spoke to about the place talked about their wood-fired pizzas, to the extent I thought maybe it was the only food this place offered. But nah, they feature full menu with a nice selection of apps (huge pretzel sticks w/ beer cheese, tasty nachos) and a really impressive smash burger with nice crispy fries. Even the salad was decent. TVs muted but tuned to the NFL playoffs, quality food, lots of beers on tap...that's a recipe for a fine, fine evening! Beers were mostly very good, and enjoyed talking with the bartender, who helped me select a nice bottle-aged selection to go. Strong IPAs, particularly The Ruckus (remix), but interesting and varied other options including a solid Epoch kolsch. Didn't love a "sour" that was just too sweet, but a noble (to me) failure. In an area perhaps known more for wineries, this brewery was our favorite stop of them all. read more

Wow!! A gem of a find on Cayug Lake. Waze sent us to a slightly wrong direction but once we corrected we were delighted to find aurora brewing! Stunning views and incredible food to pair with a delicious beer and ultra friendly service make this a great spot to check out. Sampled a variety of their IPAs and loved them all. We were tempted to try a flight but according to the menu it's a set selection of beers. We did not ask if we could pick our own but it's something I might try in the future. The pizza... It's worth a drive just for the pizza! CookEd in a woodfired oven it came out perfectly charred. We had fresh spring asparagus from the neighbors farm with prosciutto. It was divine! Maybe a little hot honey drizzled on top would be the perfect accompaniment?? They had 2 DJs spinning vinyl for 3 hours!! Corn hole and space for kids to romp... 10/10 read more

Everyone we've talked to about Aurora Brewing has raved about their beer and food. We took a trip out there for lunch today. The beer and food were delicious. Lots of options for both. They also have a selection of wine for the non-beer drinkers. We both had the Rueben's. We will definitely be back again soon. I can't wait until summer time when they have music and we can sit outside on the new deck with Great food. This is a must go to place. Add it to your list. You won't be disappointed! read more

Our first time there meeting other friends who live in the area. Welcoming atmosphere very nice staff. We went for the flight since we were not familiar with the brews. Every one was unique and delicious and served in a wooden board holder that nicely kept them from spilling.I particularly liked the one with a hint of cinnamon. With an hour drive back home we tried the pretzels which were warm and soft paired with a well balanced beer cheese and stone ground mustard for dipping as well as some wings slightly barbecue mixed with traditional hot sauce. These were saucy, crispy, and very satisfying. The view of vines and Cayuga Lake add to the warm ambiance and we will definitely return. read more

Love this place! Come here all the time. Food is amazing and the view and drinks are even better!

I wish I took pictures of the food. Everything was delicious. As for beer, we had the Pilsner which was light and refreshing. For lunch we had the Greek salad which was huge and tasty. Loved the dill and the generous amount of olives and feta. We also had the Brussel sprouts which were roasted and slightly sweet and tangy. My husband couldn't stop raving about them! We also had the wings with buffalo sauce which were perfectly cooked and yummy and finally we had the mushroom pizza which was loaded with mushrooms and garlicky goodness!! What a Fantastic meal! The view from the outdoor seating is stunning and the servers are extremely friendly. Totally worth the hour plus drive! read more

Great food, better service and amazing beer. Definitely a highlight on the west side of the lake!

I took the hottest bowel movement of my life after eating the buffalo wings. Going in, it was not spicy but going out..... 40 mins after eating 10 wings my partner and I were running to the bathroom for the worst volcanic magma human waste of our lives. Other than that, if you like flies this is great place to go. Flies are so abundant that they're wrestling one another just for a chance to land on your food . read more

Out of all of the places I've gone to in CNY recently, this place has impressed me the most. It's a brewery in an old barn in the middle of wine country. You have a gorgeous view of the lake while you're sipping on a nice cream ale. What more can you ask for? The food was also incredible. Got to try a good selection of pizza and some of the freshest tasting chicken wings I've had in a long time. Didn't have to wait too long for anything, and the staff was friendly. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend checking out Aurora Brewing. read more

Stoppped in tonight. They were busy. Waited over 90 minutes for food that never came, we needed to have our orders refunded that we had to fight (for the refund) for because they were too busy to care. We stopped in 10 minutes before close and unfortunately couldn't take full advantage of this really neat looking place. It seems like a hidden gem. The guy behind the bar was really friendly and welcoming. They don't fill growlers right now because of Covid protocols, but we were able to pick a four pack of the helles.
