Good burgers. Good dive bar atmosphere. Good vibe. Clearly a favorite spot for some locals. You won't be disappointed.

I was not expecting this to be as amazing as it was. I have passed this place countless times and…read morethought hm that could be a nice spot for a beer and burger, but just never went... until we went hiking at labrador hollow and decided to try this place after. We were so impressed! It's very clean for a bar and the outside is beautifully finished. We had a blue moon and a burger-- it was one of the best burgers i've ever had from a restaurant. The bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming. Nice vibes all around from this little hole in the wall spot... can't wait to return on a date night :)

This was our first time to The Nest. We were interested in checking out their outdoor concert…read morearea. We arrived just as a local band was getting ready for a three hour set (4-7pm) on a Sunday afternoon. Cover charge was $5.00 each. There were quite a few people there, but there was still room to sit in the spacious outdoor deck/stage area. There's also an outside bar area to grab a drink, instead of having to run inside to the regular bar. Food was available, but we did not try anything. The indoor vathrooms were pretty small, but served the purpose. The music was very good, the sound was loud enough, without blaring out of the speakers. There's a roof over the outside deck, but it's in different sections, so the sun does shine though in areas, making it a little hot when it's hitting you. Our only complaint would be the amount of people that were smoking. There is no way to get away from the cigarette smoke wafting in your face. Other than that, it seems like a great venue to enjoy some live music, a drink and a bite to eat. We definitely plan on going back.

I never stopped by here because I assumed a place named Hobos would be just another Cortland dive…read morebar. Then I saw pictures of the food on the Cortland eats and treats Facebook page, and man did it look good! When we finally went, we got the pretzel sticks as an appetizer, and my husband got the jalapeño burger and I got garlic park wings with sweet potato fries. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! Everything came out super fast (almost too fast, it all came out at once and it ended up being a TON of food). I ordered 5 wings, they charged me for 5, but they gave me 10. I got a mule flight which was fun. The blueberry lemon mule was REALLY good, but the spiced pear was a little odd. They accidentally poured the wrong beer for someone else and so they offered my Husband a free extra beer. All in all great service and a great place! Don't judge a bar by its name folks!

They had an option between a red or white sangria. They have a WIDE variety of alcoholic beverages available. Almost a whole page of the menu was dedicated to this. We both had sandwiches and were happy with them! The turkey club was huge and I was more than full from half of it. The chicken sandwich was also pretty good and my gentleman enjoyed it. We ordered poutine as a side which was hot, salty, and savory. The gravy was flavorful and the cheese curds were nicely melted. The fries were clearly hand-cut which is a great touch! If I went back I would definitely order it again. Nice place to stop for a casual meal in a convenient location.

What a s*^%%# little bar…read more I came here at the recommendation of a local, but these folks are running game on drunk kids late at night. I ordered a double tanqueray and tonic and watched the guy pour the drink. Poorly. (Pun intended) He put the tonic gun on full blast and dribbled tonic into the glass. The bottle stopper was closed, so he had to finger it open as he continued to blast tonic into the glass. I could tell the drink was mostly tonic and said, "Hey friend, that's not a double!" He looked offended and swore it was because they don't use anything to measure their tonic, they just rely on the bottle dribbling out the so-called proper amount. I should have walked away before he sat it in front of me. I took one sip and surprise-surprise, it's basically just tonic water with a touch of a tanqueray. This was my first drink of the night, and I know it's wrong, but neither the guy nor the girl behind the bar were interested in making it properly. Pour out two shots. It's not that hard. But if you're purposefully pouring short booze to drunk people knowing you'll get away with it, it IS too hard. Don't come here. I know at least one local likes it, but nobody likes being charged double for a single anything. Or maybe the play here is to just order stuff in bottles. That way they can't cheat you out of liquor I paid $14 for a glass of tonic and MAYBE a shot of tanqueray. MAYBE. I feel like I paid $14 for the privilege of writing a crappy review. I absolutely got my money's worth.

Would have given 5 stars until they closed "temporarily" but fired the staff and didn't tell them;…read morethey found out when they saw the sign on the door. That is a d**k move and reveals the character of the owners. Without the local staff this place is awful. The only reason 99% of ppl went there was BECAUSE of the staff. And considering that their customer base was primarily locals they really hurt themselves doing this. I will NEVER EVER go here again AND I will advise everyone (I get asked a lot about good spots to hit, and where to avoid) to stay away, and will explain that the owners are terrible and don't care about their staff. Wow, they really shot themselves in the foot. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! If you're in this area and are looking for a drink at a local place I will recommend going 1/2 a block away to Pete's. Do not spend your money here; they embody everything Ithaca isn't---selfish, unconcerned w the community and pretty much all around horrible business owners!!! If you want a local "hole in the wall" vibe I can recommend at least 3 other businesses that actually care about our community and their staff! I wish I could give zero stars!!!!!
