The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They provided no rental contact, no one was present to assist us on the day of our event, nor were we left with any instructions or contact numbers. The AC did not work on the day of our party and when I was able to find a number to call for assistance, the manager came and was very rude! Instead of offering assistance, she insisted on another payment because our guests had filtered into an empty adjoining room, that was cooler! Very unfortunate experience when we were looking forward to a happy celebration.

The grounds were picturesque, the photographer kept remarking how easy his job was with the lovely background. The cocktail hour was held in the newly renovated barn space and was a hit. We used the space both to serve refreshments and as a dance floor. Having everything on site made the planning and execution easy. The event space has the added benefit of the ability to host guests on-site. My family traveled from China and despite coming from a big city, they felt at ease in this rural, upstate New York farm house. It was exceptionally clean, the fridge and stove are brand new, and there is plenty of space in this sweeping home. A great venue, I can't recommend enough!

I'm having a hard time with this one. Yes, it was significantly less expensive than other places -…read morebut there's a reason for that. The kindest way I can put this is this hotel is TIRED. Seriously. It needs to be put out of its misery. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because it was clean (as much as it could be consider the metal in the shower was actually rusted through) and the people. The staff were incredibly friendly. I think the parking lot really gives the place its expectations - massive potholes everywhere. I'm talking about an off-roading experience it was so bad through both the entrances/exits. I didn't even know a property would allow things to get that bad. The rooms were extremely old - you know how you can see the old shadow of a picture frame that used to be on the wall? Picture that over both beds - again, a perfect indication of what to expect. The shower was so rusted we could barely pull up the stop to get the water to come out of the shower head. We specifically chose this hotel because of the kitchenette. THERE WAS NO SILVERWARE! A tired skillet and a spatula. Silverware is one of the most basic things that should be in the room. We didn't even both trying to cook something there we were so disgusted. I could talk on and on about how the bottom of the doors were peeled off and paint free, etc. But I think you should just know what you're getting - and the only thing you're going to get is a deal for sleeping there. I know I wouldn't return to stay here again - even with the price.

However, the room we had looked like it had barely been vacuumed. Whoever vacuumed just did a quick run through. There were remnants of candy, food, especially in the kitchen area. The toaster still had crumbs all over it, the interior of the fridge had food spills and gunk caked on the shelving. There was also no silverware which is odd for having a mini stove/kitchenette. The hotel needs some updating. The pool is shut down for "foreseeable future" per a sign. There are places in the bathroom where the bathtub/shower walls are starting to peel away from the wall. I would not stay at this hotel again.
