Lot 10 itchen and Lounge takes the Ithaca nightlife to a whole new level. The upstairs lounge has been completely renovated. The bar was custom built, there is a new stage and sound system, comfy leather couches to relax on, and the beer selection is fantastic and the mix drink options are unique and tasty. The art in the lounge was painted by some talented Ithaca graffiti artists and the bathrooms were painted by local artist, Ryan McGuire, www.laughandpee.com. The lounge opens officially 2/7/2012 and the restaurant is scheduled to open mid-March 2012.

    An amazing cocktail

We had the pleasure of visiting Lot 10 during the Ithaca Festival last week. Located along S. Cayuga St., the restaurant was somewhat hidden by the festival tents that lined the street, but this is nevertheless an excellent downtown location for this outstanding new find, and well worth a visit. Lot 10's inspired menu (we particularly enjoyed the small plates) and unique cocktails selection created by a superb master mixologist (I was asked not to reveal his name!) make this place a most welcome addition to Ithaca's nightlife. I hope that Lot 10 enjoys many years of success. We will definitely be back!

The outdoor space in the back

If you are a regular old college student or someone that is underage then you probably love the grungy bar scene that is available in collegetown. But if you are feeling a little fancier and want to show off the legality of your ID, Lot 10 is the place to go! The drinks are delicious and not watered down (and what else can you ask for from a college bar?). We drank the Watermelon Man which was way bigger than expected (obviously not complaining because hello keep it pouring) and it had a nice chunk of watermelon right inside. The outdoor area in the back is prime for a good time and great for get togethers with friends. Also the walls are painted with colorful murals so that's optimal spot for instagram photos, which we know is the only reason you go out places anyway.

One of the great performers in the drag show!

My friends and I came here after a really bad experience at another bar. We found everyone here to be so friendly. It was an eclectic crowd filled with nice people looking to have fun. Dancing downstairs and drag show upstairs. We paid a cover to go to the drag show and had a blast watching the performers dance and lip sing. The bouncer was so so nice. They made you feel very welcome here. We would go back.

I personally wasn't a fan of the fried polenta, but also did not try it with the sauce. The first night I tried their lavender lemonade (non alcoholic), which I thought was good, but fell in with the Lemon Tree cocktail the second night. Both nights I ordered the "burger of the month" which was a pesto burger. I added bacon and asked for a Caesar salad instead of fries. We ordered two of the chicken bites so the group could try both sauces, but since I'm not a fan of spicy, I only tried the honey truffle one and loved it. Our servers were very nice and patient (we were a group of about 10), and if I'm ever back in town, I'll be sure to try some of the other entrees!

You go…read moredown into the basement, and suddenly, you're in a dimly lit, curtain-filled labyrinth of crowded dance floors, questionable life choices, and unexpectedly deep conversations in the bathroom line. The Good :) * Coat Check: A lifesaver in the winter. You walk in, shed your layers, and pretend you won't forget to pick it up later. * Photo Booth: If you don't take a chaotic, slightly blurry photo strip with your friends, did you even go? * Seating Area Behind Curtains: If you need a moment to recover from the dance floor (or escape an awkward interaction), this little tucked-away lounge is a solid spot. * Music: Hit or miss. Some nights you'll get bangers, other nights you'll be questioning the DJ's entire playlist. The Bad :( * No Apple Pay. A tragedy, honestly. I lose things easily, so forcing me to keep track of a physical card in a dark, crowded club is a recipe for disaster. It's 2025 -- let me tap my phone and move on with my night. * Bathroom Situation: Three stalls for an entire club's worth of people. Enough said. You will wait, and you will make bathroom-line friends out of necessity. Final Thoughts Level B is grimy, chaotic, and slightly unhinged -- which, in a way, is its charm. You don't go here expecting luxury; you go expecting a wild night and maybe a story to tell later. Still better than Hideaway though! 3/5.

Management can also be a bit unfriendly and it's Russian roulette regarding if you're gonna get the brunt of it. Before I actually bring any of this up at a city council meeting, here's why this place needs a change of management, or just to be shut down. -Bartender refused to serve my friend, said TO HIS FACE that "you look really douchey", and had a horrible attitude the entire time. Bar was practically empty. She had no reason to be acting like that and that was probably the rudest bartender experience I've ever had. Told another bartender about it, he apologized, I also mentioned this in my first review, and yet she's been here every time I've been back. -Another bartender yelled as loud as humanly possible in my face (I'm hard of hearing and it's a loud bar) when I didn't hear what he said. Appreciate you saying it louder bud, but he was clearly extremely annoyed with me. He had some sort of hat on, and angrily yelled "YEAH, THIS HAT ISN'T A PSYCHIC HAT". Sorry someone shat in your cornflakes, dude. -Just about every month, I hear about someone's drink getting spiked. They either don't give a shit about blacklisting these scumbags, or just don't care that it's happening in the first place out of fear of losing business. They try to cover it up every time it happens. -Behavior of the patrons is extremely judgy, rude, and uncomfortable. Very old men hitting on younger women. Creeps everywhere. People looking to start a fight. -Almost always unclean inside and out The only benefit is the fact that it's cheap. I would really love it if the staff gave a shit here, because on paper this place should be one of the best bars in ROC.
