Lot 10 is what you expect from a club -- loud music, solid vibes, and a bathroom that progressively becomes a test of endurance as the night goes on. The music is lit, the energy is good, and while I haven't tried the drinks myself, I've heard the green tea shots are the go-to. Might have to investigate next time. Biggest highlight? The guy outside. Nicest human alive. If this place ever gets awards, he should be the first one up on stage. Would I come back? Sure, but preferably with soap in the bathroom. read more

Ithaca is a strange mix of coolness and lunacy combined with Upper New York State deindustrialization and decay. Beautiful nature, disappearing jobs, nutcase intellectuals and artists. Nutcases are what make life worth living. Lot 10 is totally on the coolness and lunacy side. It is on a street with a lot of abandoned storefronts - so everything is not peaches and cream in Ithaca. But in Lot 10's corner of the world, everything is going down real well. Lot 10 a first rate bar, that spins first rate music and has a first rate indoor food truck. They play the music at about six hundred thousand million decibels - which suits me totally fine. When I was there, they were spinning a mix of rare 1950's doo-wop and hi-life era African rock drumming. A second DJ and decent techno followed. The place was NOT packed, and the music was not getting that much attention - but it was fine stuff. They do excellent made-em-up-themselves craft cocktails. I studiously avoided the "Austin Ex-Pat" which is a Tito's Vodka concoction and went with an alternative, a totally drinkable Hendricks Gin, Cucumbers, Grapefruit and bitters concoction. The food truck does the normal run of tacos with collegiate ingredients (Korean barbecue, veggie mix, etc) - which totally suits me fine. They put the same stuff on Mac n Cheese - and i will vouch on a stack of culinary bibles that Korean BBQ on Mac n Cheese scores a 15 on a scale from 1 to 10. Not very many people were enjoying these pleasures. Cornell is an academic grind town. Lots of people spend their nights working on their computer projects, writing their research papers, and generating the code for the theory of everything. But there is good stuff for the wastrels who want to wander around down in the town. Lot 10 has good music, good cocktails, Korean BBQ on Mac n Cheese. I was visiting Ithaca and was brought here by others who promised it'd be a good time, and it was! The crowd was mostly college people getting drunk and dancing to sufficiently good, but not great, music. The drinks were good: they had my go-to, pickleback! with option to choose dill or spicy pickle juice. The bartender was one angry dude, though. I saw him getting mad and confronting someone for not tipping, as well as threatening to cut a guy's hand off with a fruit peeler because he was drunkenly touching a fruit in a basket on the bar. read more

Simply put, this is one of the worst restaurants I've ever eaten at. We ordered all vegetarian stuff, so it's possible that the meat is more edible. But we had was just plain wrong. We started out with the radicchio leaves with goat cheese, and the leaves were about the size of a large cabbage leaves. This dish was utterly ridiculous. That was the tastiest thing, though, as the bahn mi sandwich was almost inedible. It consisted of pickled carrots, with a thin slice of homemade pickle on top and then some utterly obfuscated concoction under the carrots. Eating this very bready sandwich was akin to chugging vinegar straight up. The tofu was left out of the curry dish, even though it was listed on the menu, and the other food (we got the pate, mushroom, humus combo) was either gross, bland, or desperately over seasoned. At one point in the meal, a large bowl of bland chips arrived: no salt on them and nothing to dip them in. A total waste. I really got the feeling that someone with no clue about food had cooked our meal. In reading a few other reviews, I see that others dig this place. I was sadly unimpressed. read more

One thing about Lot 10 stands out: homemade Asian pickle juice for your Spicy Asian Pickle Back. At $3 for a super delicious shot, you can't have just one. The other cocktails were pretty solid, but nothing blew my socks off. They've got stiff competition because there's a pretty excellent cocktail place just up the hill. The fries were good, with gravy and cheese. So were the jalapeno poppers that weren't spicy. There's not much food otherwise, just snacks and appetizers. Occasionally they have an "in house" food truck serving but we didn't wait around since we were too hungry. read more

Lot 10 itchen and Lounge takes the Ithaca nightlife to a whole new level. The upstairs lounge has been completely renovated. The bar was custom built, there is a new stage and sound system, comfy leather couches to relax on, and the beer selection is fantastic and the mix drink options are unique and tasty. The art in the lounge was painted by some talented Ithaca graffiti artists and the bathrooms were painted by local artist, Ryan McGuire, www.laughandpee.com. The lounge opens officially 2/7/2012 and the restaurant is scheduled to open mid-March 2012. read more

This review is about the "new" Lot 10. The Lot 10 who threw in the culinary towel for something along the more libat-ious side. Set your sights on Roland, the 6' 6" bartender. He is the medicine man. Have an ailment? Just tell Roland. He seems to make it all better. My most recent prescription included a chamomile tea hot toddy. I felt better straight away. The guys and gals at Lot 10 have done a great job at transforming this joint into a seen and be seen, but don't be pretentious doing it, type of place. There is a "pop up" guest kitchen/restaurant (Belly, right now). While they're too meaty for my taste, I can't say anything bad about Lot 10, the bar. They do it right. read more

Lot 10 Kitchen and Lounge started strong in February 2012 with the opening of the upstairs bar/lounge with great live acts, DJs, improve comedy, even a story-telling night that was a blast. As of April, the Kitchen part is open... and it's amazing. A small-plates tapas menu by head chef Dan Kiely features sharable items from vegan to steak, sliders and home-made potato chips, and so much more. On the opening night my friends and I ate our fill and still wanted more (so we got the scallops). The waitstaff was 100% on the ball, courtesy and knowledgeable, all on the first night. In interest of full-disclosure, I'm a personal friend of the chef and even a micro-investor in the restaurant. Call this review biased, but that doesn't make it untrue. I put in money because I've had the good luck to eat Dan's cooking before he even started his personal chef/catering biz a couple of years ago, so I knew the food would be great. The plan the owners have for the space (the former Lost Dog Café in Ithaca) was a no-brainer. I'm extremely happy to say Lot 10 has never disappointed me and I consider it money very well spent and invested. read more

As far as cocktails go here, i recommend the Sazarac: whiskey, bitters and what someone tells me is fake absinthe. It's a unique cocktail that, if you like simple whiskey-based drinks, will be right up your alley. A unique spin on a drink I've only seen here. They also have a "Ron Burghandy" cocktail named after the Anchorman character, but I didn't get a chance to try it. It's not a college bar, but you will see many IC/Cornell students here. It's generally a young professional and grad student crowd that comes here for music, dancing and some semi-complicated cocktails. The upstairs is a little more divey than the downstairs, which is a lounge when it's quiet and more of a quieter-end club/hipster bar when packed. They have live music. I like it here. Nice cocktails and cheap beer. Youthful, hip music. Not a nightclub, but kind of in that arena when it's LIT on Friday nights. read more

We had the pleasure of visiting Lot 10 during the Ithaca Festival last week. Located along S. Cayuga St., the restaurant was somewhat hidden by the festival tents that lined the street, but this is nevertheless an excellent downtown location for this outstanding new find, and well worth a visit. Lot 10's inspired menu (we particularly enjoyed the small plates) and unique cocktails selection created by a superb master mixologist (I was asked not to reveal his name!) make this place a most welcome addition to Ithaca's nightlife. If you are a regular old college student or someone that is underage then you probably love the grungy bar scene that is available in collegetown. But if you are feeling a little fancier and want to show off the legality of your ID, Lot 10 is the place to go! The drinks are delicious and not watered down (and what else can you ask for from a college bar?). We drank the Watermelon Man which was way bigger than expected (obviously not complaining because hello keep it pouring) and it had a nice chunk of watermelon right inside. The outdoor area in the back is prime for a good time and great for get togethers with friends. Also the walls are painted with colorful murals so that's optimal spot for instagram photos, which we know is the only reason you go out places anyway. read more

My friends and I came here after a really bad experience at another bar. We found everyone here to be so friendly. It was an eclectic crowd filled with nice people looking to have fun. Dancing downstairs and drag show upstairs. We paid a cover to go to the drag show and had a blast watching the performers dance and lip sing. The bouncer was so so nice. We stopped by while visiting (ie. Not locals) and we thought it was fairly interesting. The people were very quirky and the drinks were decent. THERE WAS NO COVER CHARGE. Going in, there was a restaurant /bar area and then a dancing area. Upstairs is another bar and a band playing music. Downstairs was hip hop/pop/dance, and upstairs was more rock/chill. Definitely unique for a bar. (Though expect the usual long lines for the bathroom, having to wait to get your drink, etc.) As for the cost of drinks we got 3 lemon drop shots and 3 beers, and our total was $27 without tip. read more

This is definitely the kind of place where the whole vibe/experience could easily change depending on the day of the week and the time of day. I went once on a Saturday night and it was way on the clubby side, but you could tell it would be an excellent space for live music. Two stories: bar, lounge and pretty big outdoor smoking area downstairs; bar, billiards and lounge area upstairs. Probably more too; it seemed like a big place. Crowd was a mix of pretty typical college kids with a sprinkling of the hippies you see around Downtown Ithaca. We went for dinner here on a Thursday night during happy hour. The menu looked fun and sounded interesting and the happy hour drink prices weren't too bad. Service was terrific, but oh gad the food. It was terrible. The mushroom pate tasted like dirt--e chef made a poor choice of mushrooms for the spread. The bahn mi was indelible given the amount of vinegar used to pickle the vegetarian ingrediants. The coconuT curry came without any tofu despite what the menu promised and it was painfully spicy and lacked a real depth of flavor. The radicchio cups were enormous -- the leaf, that is-- compared to the tiny amount of filling. Happy hour sangria = minimal alcohol. As for the whole "small plates" thing . . . Well the plates were huge and the servings were minuscule. The best part of the night involved trying to fit the food plates on the table. I left feeling hungry and robbed considering the high price we paid for the "meal" Maybe it's a great club. . . . But don't go there for dinner. read more

I'm a little confused why an establishment such as Lot 10 would employ bouncers that have sight problems that prevent entry seemingly at random on a slow night. Mistook a friend in the group for someone who wreaked havoc and broke stuff out back a week ago and told us to get lost - but my friend wasn't out last weekend. Not sure if the bouncer had a chip on his shoulder today or if he is just prejudiced. Just plain rude. Have always recommended Lot 10 to my visiting friends to check out, but will never again. read more

Lot 10 is a great escape from the college grungy bars in Ithaca. On the weekends and often during the week, there is live music and DJ's from local artists. They have two floors and usually play two completely different genres on each floor. The bartenders are very good at their job, they can look at you and make a drink that you will be very happy with. During the school year (August-May) it can get crowded, but once summer comes along its a great spot to grab a few drinks with friends. They have an "outdoor garden" which is basically just a place for smokers to smoke a few cigs with their drinks ... there is no evidence of any greenery in the so called "garden"... read more

The bouncer that worked this past Saturday had no idea what he was doing. My friends and I are all 21+ and he denied our IDs, telling us they were fake. While looking at my ID he almost broke it in half trying to tell me it wasn't real. Then not even 5 minutes later I saw someone get in with an fake ID. If you're going to run a legitimate business you need to have bouncers that actually know what they are doing. I find it ridiculous they are denying people that have real IDs and letting in people with fake ones. Find some bouncers that know what a real ID looks like. Wow. We have always loved the lounge space, and were surprised at how much we like their "pickle back" (a shot of Jameson followed by a shot of pickle juice. Really.) But tonight is the first time we ate in the dining room since it was under different ownership. This is a levels above. Every bite was lovely. The chef obviously has a well developed palate and knows how to build subtle, complex flavors. We had 5 plates and each was better than the last. The adults in our party were impressed by the depth of flavor, and the 11 year old boy in our party asked if there was a polite way for him to lick his plate. The waitress suggested an extra side of crostini to enjoy the residual broth, which I believe is the adult equivalent. Kudos you guys. You do Ithaca proud. read more

Went to Lot 10 last evening! Wonderful! We were greeted at the door by the house manager, Katie! Delightful! Got to meet owners Justin and Matt. Bravo, gentlemen! The decor of the place is upbeat and inviting. The service was phenomenal, thanks to our waiter Drew! The food was served tapas style and every dish was cooked to perfection. I suggest the pork tenderloin with the root medley hash. Just yummy! The soup of the day was creme of asparagus and was so delicious. Prices were quite reasonable. Also loved the many choices of beer and drinks. After dinner it is worth staying around to go upstairs to the lounge where there was live music playing. Check out who will be performing in the nights and weeks to come. Having been open for only five weeks, this is a well oiled machine, and I would certainly recommend you become acquainted, as it will be a place you will want to frequent more than once. Had dinner with a friend there recently and we were both underwhelmed by the food. We ordered a seafood pasta dish which was priced at $14. It came with 4 mussels, 1 scallop cut in half, and 2 shrimp. In my opinion, this was not enough to warrant the price. Our arugula salad with strawberries was basically a plate of greens with 2 strawberries and a small drizzle of balsamic. I was also a bit put off by the water that they served which was room temperature - no ice in sight. The drinks from the bar were good and I've enjoyed the lounge upstairs before, but the restaurant definitely has room for improvement. read more

First off lot 10 is great. Definitely like going there. But I recently discovered they had food while on a night out with my guys. I had never heard of Luna but they all had and they said I didn't know what I was missing. I ordered a burger and it blew my mind! The burger and fries were amazing! However, when I told my wife about the place I did wonder if I only had that viewpoint because of the pints consumed at Lot 10 before, during and after. So we had to go back so I could try it again. Again, it was amazing. I have been here 4 times now (I'm writing this from the table with sticky burger thumbs) and every time the burger is PERFECT! It is by far the best burger I have ever had (being a fat guy, I have had them all over the world). We have also tried the Gouda Mac and Cheese, duck fat fries, and all of their tacos. Don't waste your time!! Drinks are watery. Entire staff is very rude. The bouncer makes you wait outside in the cold while the place is empty. Apparently just trying to give the impression that it's a popular place to be. We overheard the bouncer threatening to call the police because he felt like 2 older couples were "blocking his space" while waiting for a taxi in front of Lot 10.
