I will admit its been several years (maybe a decade) since I was there last , and ai know things change but Ive only had 1 negative experience there and it was MY FAULT not the establishment. I don't know if its changed hands since then but I used to know the owners, and they were very cordial and welcoming ever single time regardless of the amount of patrons or event. Ive had some of the best times of my life when I was younger at this place. I wish I had a picture of one of these "best times" but all I can say is One was called "Bubble Halloween " (several of these actually) and the other was called "Welcome to Bat Country" by GetBent! Ive seen the place back when the doors were by the outdoor patio and others when they had a lounge in the back which was the front door last time I went. Im not sure what its become but I can say it was THE PLACE for electronic music with the BEST DJ's in Upstate New York. So many fond memories of mine happened in there. Lol. I miss those times. Maybe one day I will come by again and see if my favorite Vampire still pours drinks? Bryan? Lol u still there?

TPOH nailed it: "Speaking of hearing, I can't take too much loud music I mean I like to play it, but I sure don't like the racket" I'm starting here, with the vibe, which sets the scene, dig? Decor-wise, it's luxe lounge, and is a welcome surprise in the Salt City. We use Resy, and...either the hostess misheard our party size, didn't really care, didn't really doublecheck to read our actual reservation, or whatever man, that's just your opinion. So, the backroom might have been a bit better suited for us olds, we were ushered into the front room. Not the window, but pretty darn close. Again, fun for people watching, inside and out. But damn it kids, if you have a DJ, I want to talk to Sir Vibes A Lot and ask them how they think thumping house music actually aids in digestion? Maybe I unconsciously started chewing to the unrelenting 4/4 beat, anything's possible. Now onto the menu, and back to the identity crisis. Like a lot of places, the York has a broad spectrum of offerings. Burger. Nashville Hot. Multiple pasta options. Sure, sure, sure. The porkchop with kimchi fried rice was the clear winner, hands down. The chicken, mashed and greens took second place (but I'll give ya a pro tip chef: the longer you cook your greens, the better they are). The salmon was a distant third because everything bagel seasoning is a lot after a while, and the veg was uninspired. Our TL:DR recommendation is come for cocktails and poutine. The poutine satisfied by itself. Our server was great- thanks, Destiny!

They closed 20 minutes early and when I asked the employee if they were open until 2am, his response was, "we're open until whenever the f**k I say we are". I told him that he didn't need to be rude and he said, "I just want to go home." I quite literally don't care that you want to go home. You're getting PAID TO BE THERE! He then got very aggressive and started screaming I needed to "get the f**k out". After I said some choice words which I understand didn't help the situation, I turned around to leave and he pushed me from behind. When I say this, please understand I'm saying with my whole chest...he is lucky I didn't turn and knock his teeth out. It is absolutely unacceptable to get physical with someone ESPECIALLY as they TURN AROUND TO LEAVE! That employee should be fired and he is lucky I don't press charges for assault. Lowkey, this establishment should probably be shut down if you allow your employees to get physical with your patrons. Do better.

It is not this way at other bars as the entertainment is an afterthought for people to listen to as they socialize and drink spending money. RESPONSE to Owner: Then it is best to change all your Misguiding information on your website and Facebook pages. How doe one "SOCIALIZE" with people and "LOUNGE" around doing so as in your own descriptions on your website and Social Media? You go…read moredown into the basement, and suddenly, you're in a dimly lit, curtain-filled labyrinth of crowded dance floors, questionable life choices, and unexpectedly deep conversations in the bathroom line. The Good :) * Coat Check: A lifesaver in the winter. You walk in, shed your layers, and pretend you won't forget to pick it up later. * Photo Booth: If you don't take a chaotic, slightly blurry photo strip with your friends, did you even go? * Seating Area Behind Curtains: If you need a moment to recover from the dance floor (or escape an awkward interaction), this little tucked-away lounge is a solid spot. * Music: Hit or miss. Some nights you'll get bangers, other nights you'll be questioning the DJ's entire playlist. The Bad :( * No Apple Pay. A tragedy, honestly. I lose things easily, so forcing me to keep track of a physical card in a dark, crowded club is a recipe for disaster. It's 2025 -- let me tap my phone and move on with my night. * Bathroom Situation: Three stalls for an entire club's worth of people. Enough said. You will wait, and you will make bathroom-line friends out of necessity. Final Thoughts Level B is grimy, chaotic, and slightly unhinged -- which, in a way, is its charm. You don't go here expecting luxury; you go expecting a wild night and maybe a story to tell later. Still better than Hideaway though! 3/5.
