You cant beat the ambiance of emerald cocktail kitchen! A fun, setting of a rooftop bar. The cocktails themselves are only okay. I wasnt super impressed with my $15 drink being served in a tiny plastic cup. Flavor was decent but very watered down and mostly ice. Their food is always pretty tasty though, and something you shouldnt skip. Workers are mostly friendly and quick to greet, although sometimes it feels like youre an inconvenience when you order. The business also does a lot of great events for the community.

Such a great and unique place. Not many rooftop bars in Syracuse and this comes with a great view. Love the decor and the service is great! Love this place!

I thought I'd already reviewed here, but somehow this is my first. I love this place. I've been here multiple times. Some visits have been smoother than others. There have been some bumps when they were really busy or understaffed. Regardless, I still rate it 5 stars. Firstly, the ambiance is amazing. This is the only rooftop bar in Syracuse. There are three floors -- the top is the rooftop, the middle is the restaurant, which has the most adorable cozy tea-party living room vibes, and the bottom floor is a velvety speakeasy. The drinks are tasty and aesthetic, and the mocktails are especially superb. My favorite so far has been a lavender paloma. Their food is really scrumptious, think upscale comfort food. Get the fried cauliflower -- it will blow your mind. They also do a banging brunch. Perhaps coolest of all, they host an amazing array of events with other local businesses and organizations. I've been here for rooftop yoga, silent reading mixers, foodie events -- all with different vibes but a wonderful way to enjoy the rooftop. They have other special occasions like markets, Djs, book clubs, and more. A spot worth checking out in Syracuse sometime for sure, especially in the summer!

Delicious food and amazing service. Ask John and he can make any drink you ask. The restaurant style is very modern and cozy.

I love this place!! They do "girl dinner" on Wednesdays, where you get a martini, salad and fries as a meal deal. Also the rooftop bar is such a cute vibe. Nice staff and cute cocktail spot.

The view is fantastic and super different from anywhere in Syracuse. I used to come here much more frequently. I like that their cocktail menu seasonally changes. I have seen a decline in the quality, my drinks have been inconsistent... some amazing, others just okay... sometimes the exact order. My biggest disappointment and change in rating/reviews is the menu. The menu has changed frequently, as well as the quantity and quality of dishes. I absolutely loved the smattering board and they could easily accommodate making it gluten free. I'll pop in for a drink now, but tend not to stay for a snack. Hopefully it will return to what it was!

Emerald Cocktail Kitchen hits just the right note for a cozy lounge experience. Came here recently in the hopes of dinner and cocktails. One quick note: they weren't serving dinner the evening we were in so might be worth calling before to see if the kitchen is open. That said, the cocktails were wonderful. Their menu has just the right mix of seasonal specialties and classics. I got a Woodford old fashioned, which was perfectly rendered. The service was friendly (it's an order at the bar set-up) and the prices were reasonable (roughly $10/cocktail). Get to it!

*le sigh.* had high hopes for this place but it really didn't strike for me. It's in an assuming area with a cute rooftop so we were drawn. Came in on a Saturday night and was greeted by two friendly staff. They explained that they may not have seating for a party of 3 - it was a Saturday night and we assumed they'd be busy. While we waited for a table, we sat in the lounge. Really cool, aesthetically pleasing, vibe check approved but we really wanted a sit down. We were told they could accommodate us in their dining area on the second floor. We got up there and it was nearly empty! Why there was a question as to whether or not we could be seated is unknown but it was open. Our waitress, like the staff at the door was very nice too! Food was meh. We ordered the fried tomatos - I'd pass on them... thick but no flavor. We also had the smatterings for the table which I'd definitely recommend... that was good! For entree I had the catfish po boy... underwhelming and the highly recommended gnocchi ... hard pass. The gnocchi was so dry and lacked flavor. Was definitely disappointed. Vibe in the lounge was good and it was too cold to really hang at the rooftop but that could definitely be a vibe too! I'd recommend this place for drinks and small bites but pass on a full meal.

This was a great roof top bar! Syracuse doesn't have a whole lot of options when it comes to cute and trendy places. I found this one on a humbug and was glad I did. Myself and a couple friends went. We actually found 3 seats at the roof top bar. Service was great, we ordered quite a few drinks. Reasonably priced. I can't remember the name of the drinks because they were seasonal and we went this past summer. But one of my drinks had a spicy Thai pepper in it and it was so good. Of course my friends dared me to eat the pepper. And I did. It wasn't that bad lol! We all would definitely return. We didn't have a chance to try any of the food, but drinks were great! Definitely try this place out!

Emerald Cocktail Kitchen is simply stunning! From the exterior to the interior, everything is truly aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The staff here were all so wonderful! Managers, wait staff & chefs were all so friendly and helpful. The food!!! Wow, what can I say other than every menu we tried out left us wanting more and more. Their maple smash burger is hands down one of the best burgers I have ever eaten to date! The flavor profile was outstanding!!! Even their mocktails were wonderful! This was my first visit to Emerald Cocktail Kitchen, but it most certainly won't be my last.

Went here for rooftop drinks. I got a pomegranate margarita and a few glasses of wine. The prices were reasonable and the decor on the rooftop was cute. I wish their food menu was more extensive, and maybe some more variety in cocktails. A fun locale for socializing.

What a beautiful place. I've been wanting to go inside since they did their remodel last year. The entrance is on Fayette Street and you can either take an elevator upstairs or the stairs to the dining room. They have beautiful lighting and a very comfortable dining room. In better weather, we would have had a drink at the rooftop bar. Food is wonderful and since wicked had just opened, there were a lot of food and drink tie-ins to the movie. I ordered one of the wicked cocktails, which was simply delicious and then started with a house salad, which was wonderful and included two different colored beats as well as goat cheese. The salad was very generous. The waitress was supposed to see whether we could get side salads, but when she brought them out, they were not sides. I also ordered shrimp and grits, which was delightful and was surrounded by a very tasty and spicy sauce sort of like a curry. My husband had the open steak sandwich, which was very good. This is the kind of place where you can sit for hours talking and there's no loud music overwhelming you. Our waitress seemed a little green, but she was pleasant and attentive, After dinner, we checked out the bar downstairs which they call a speakeasy. Low lighting and a dark room give it a nice vibe.

I am so excited that this establishment has opened in Tipp Hill! The cocktail menu offers something for everyone- including mocktails. The whole place is beautifully decorated, and you can't beat a rooftop bar. They were quite busy when we went on Thursday night, which I'm sure is due to them being new, but they handled the crowd well. I drank the 1965 gin cocktail, which was good, although the second one I ordered was slightly different than the first- I'll attribute that to them being new as well. The rest of my group really enjoyed their cocktails, which were all different tequila drinks. We ordered the Brie, the Mac and cheese spring rolls, the Brussels sprouts, and the curly fries. The spring rolls and Brussels sprouts were my personal favorites. The curly fries were delicious as well, but bring lots of friends if you want to order them because it is a huge tray!

The Wedge changes their menu on a weekly basis so I was excited to see what was on this weeks menu so naturally we had to get multiple dishes to share in order to try as much as possible. We ordered two pasta dishes, truffle fries for the table, and brussel sprouts to share family style and we didn't leave a crumb behind! All the dishes were more unique than a typical pasta dish you may find elsewhere which was extra fun and soo delicious! The brussels were so soft and topped with so much flavor. All the food was fantastic, shrimp bisque, poached pear salad, steak with fabulous mashed potatoes, and one of the best lava cakes I've ever had and a shockingly good combo of Basque cheesecake and blood orange. I had the pleasure of returning to Touché for a second visit on Saturday evening, and once again,…read morethe experience was exceptional. It's not uncommon for a new restaurant to impress the first time, only to fall short on subsequent visits. Touché, however, proves to be a welcome exception. Their continued commitment to quality, creativity, and classic French influences remains evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Several days before our reservation, I received a courteous text from the charming and attentive hostess, Bridgette, requesting details about the members of my dining party, including names and dietary restrictions. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by name and seated at a table adorned with a personalized name card--an unnecessary but thoughtful and memorable gesture that set the tone for the evening. I selected the very reasonably priced three‑course prix fixe menu ($70), while the rest of my party opted for the Steak Frites. My starter, a colossal scallop, was beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. While the nettle purée could have used a touch more vibrancy, it still complemented the bright yuzu dressing well. The main course--a perfectly cooked half duck breast accompanied by roasted celeriac purée and a currant‑cassis jus--was a standout. The deep berry notes paired beautifully with the richly rendered duck fat. Although I typically gravitate toward savory dishes, the dessert was an impressive finale: a Sablé Breton with blood orange cream, thyme Chantilly, thyme jam, and a rocher of coffee ice cream. The combination of sweet, salty, and herbaceous elements was wonderfully balanced and thoroughly enjoyable. I was fortunate enough to try a few bites of the Steak Frites, which did not disappoint--nor did it for the other members of my party. Our meals were complemented by excellent cocktails from the well‑stocked bar. The bartender was knowledgeable, skilled, and engaging. The open‑concept kitchen is also a delight to observe, and I look forward to reserving a seat at the chef's table on my next visit. One of the ongoing challenges in the Syracuse dining scene, in my opinion, is a general lack of restraint. Touché distinguishes itself with its thoughtful menu design, technical precision, and appropriate portion sizes. We left feeling thoroughly attended to and perfectly satiated. I sincerely hope Touché continues its pursuit of excellence both in the kitchen and in the dining room. Syracuse needs restaurants of this caliber, and I eagerly anticipate their spring and summer menus.

Maybe I unconsciously started chewing to the unrelenting 4/4 beat, anything's possible. Now onto the menu, and back to the identity crisis. Like a lot of places, the York has a broad spectrum of offerings. Burger. Nashville Hot. Multiple pasta options. Sure, sure, sure. The porkchop with kimchi fried rice was the clear winner, hands down. The chicken, mashed and greens took second place (but I'll give ya a pro tip chef: the longer you cook your greens, the better they are). The salmon was a distant third because everything bagel seasoning is a lot after a while, and the veg was uninspired. Our TL:DR recommendation is come for cocktails and poutine.
