Back at our hotel this take out order was well packaged, have silverware, and sides came on the side so everything traveled well.

One of the only late Monday night games in town. Rolled into town late and found myself here because it was open. I was delighted they took my order after 10pm. All good things my friend. Pub grub for sure - but fresh made. Pulled pork sandwhich double yummy. I had chicken sandwhich which was also great. Food was ready when I got there and over the place had a good vibe. If I didn't have someone waiting for their dinner I could have stayed for a couple. Sides were Mac and cheese and side salad. Would have both again and feel the need to comment the salad was so fresh.

Clinton Street Pub is owned by Robb Bidwell and Doug Balle, who launched it under that name in 2004 after it had been RJ Lanigan's for several years. One of Armory Square's most familiar nightspots, it transitioned in 2016 to a sports bar, complete with a full kitchen serving tavern food, expanded hours, new tables and 22 new flat screen TVs. The kitchen is also one of the more recent local outlets for those crispy, sweet Sal's Birdland wings. The kitchen staff, led by Aaron Labulis, has been trained in producing those Rochester-based favorites. The wife and I went to CSP with a couple friends before a show at the Landmark Theatre since it was right around the corner. We walked in and it was surprisingly pretty empty, but it was only 5 PM on a Sunday. We were able to choose whatever seating we wanted, so we sat ourselves and a server brought us menus. CSP now sports classier new exterior signs, a new blue-and-orange color scheme inside, sports memorabilia on the walls and plenty of new high-top tables, arranged for viewing the new TV screens. The old Clinton Street Pub had just three TVs, and while the old pool table is gone, electronic darts machines remain and the pub hosts video games and tournaments. It still has that divey neighborhood bar feel, without making you feel disgusting. We had all checked out the menu beforehand and were surprised that some of the things we wanted on the website were no longer on the physical menu. Luckily, they have a lot of tasty sounding things and we were all able to choose other dishes pretty easily. The wife and I ordered spiedie chicken nachos to share, while I went with their homemade chicken tenders meal with fries and the wife tried their popper burger. I would've went with something more interesting, but I'm always interested to try chicken tenders at a place that hand breads their own fresh. Our friends ordered fried cheese curds and some Sal's birdland wing. Our food was brought relatively quickly. Fried cheese curds were good, but it's kinda hard to screw that up. Our spiedie chicken nachos were delicious. The spiedie marinated chicken was great, with some delicious homemade queso on the chips and guacamole. I liked my chicken tenders a lot, crispy, fresh and HUGE. The wife loved her burger, and our friends enjoyed their wings too, which were also gigantic. I'm not a huge fan of the Sal's Sassy sauce that is served with the tenders, but still tasty. Service was good, prices were fair. It does still have that divey, loud sports bar feel to it, so you gotta be in the mood for that. I'd definitely go again and try some more food options.

Food was really good. I placed a to go order inside and it was ready quite fast. I only gave it four stars because I was not given any cutlery, napkins, or condiments. Will return.

    SBL Tenders from CSP, yum!

Best chicken wings / tenders I've had in Syracuse. Got wings last week, meaty and delicious; well worth the price. They also have this "CSP plate" I had a couple weeks ago that was also delicious and very reasonable priced. Waitress was good on previous visits, today I got take out from the bartender who had a bit of an attitude, but not enough to change my overall opinion. You can order through GrubHub with paypal (cool)

Been here a couple of times since they have revamped the place and added a new menu. It's kind of a divey bar but in a good way. Stopped in on Saturday night. They have a good draft selection. We ordered Ommegang Nirvana IPA and 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon. Both good choices. Now on to the food, great chicken tenders and wings from Sal's Birdland, with the sassy sauce. Can't go wrong ordering either of these. Lots of tv's so you can check out whatever game might be on that night. Fun sports bar!

Decent size pub in Armory Square. Place has plenty of seating, TVs on the walls with constant Sports on. There's a dart board in the back. Beers are cheep, chicken tenders were pretty good. They have a shot wheel that the bartender spins & you get discounted shots. Not too far from the SU campus & the Carrier Dome. Not bad, but also nothing to rave about. Very average

A short wait for menus and to scour drink menu. I went with pomegranate cosmo, unfortunately it lacked presentation due to shortage of appropriate glassware. Server was apologetic, taste was pleasant but strong and lacking garnish. My friend just ordered a light draft and we ordered Reuben egg rolls to share. Best Reuben egg rolls I have had in the Cuse! Tons of tender corned beef, and just a hint of sauerkraut and Swiss served with thousands island dressing! I ordered an extra for take out for my Irish man at home and short rib tacos. Those did not keep well for take out, more meat and toppings would improve the continuity compared to tortillas. Service excellent, frequently checked upon for refills and food order. Prompt delivery and friendly service! Great place for meetups with a pub sports bar atmosphere. I'm not sure I noticed remanence of the prior press room. Many televisions great for sport events. Menu is simple and pub oriented.

She went on to list a bunch of items she loves from there and kept saying how good the food is, so I was sold. I ended up calling and placing our order, and they dropped it off right at my job, which was super convenient. I ordered the honey barbecue wings and added a side of barbecue sauce--though honestly, I didn't even need it. These wings were slamming. As you can see from the picture, every single wing was soaked perfectly in sauce. No dry spots at all. You get a dozen wings with your order, and they also include celery and ranch on the side. Even the celery and ranch tasted heaven-sent, which says a lot because usually that's just an afterthought. They have a pretty full menu with a nice variety of American-style dishes to choose from. I've heard it's a great bar atmosphere too, although I haven't eaten inside yet--but I'm definitely looking forward to that experience. Based on the food alone, I'll absolutely be ordering from here again.

Quality of the food depends. The $18 salad was a plate of iceberg lettuce with a few scraps of cheese thrown on. The salad was the biggest disappointment. On the other hand, the classic poutine was bang on. Great ratio of gravy to fries, everything was nice, all the flavors were right. But the rest of the poutines have too much quality variation, which is unforgivable for a place advertising their 12 different kinds of poutine. None of the other flavors were nearly as good as the classic, with combos that didn't work. The burger was tasty. However, it was supposed to be medium and it was very rare. The beer cheese pretzel was also disappointing. The cheese had been cooked too long, or maybe microwaved, because it had seized and was very coarse and mealy. The amount of cheese was also not enough for the pretzel. Service was great. No complaints about any of the waitresses or hostesses. Overall, a fine place near downtown to get a classic poutine and an artisanal beer. Stay away from everything else.

We were greeted warmly by the bartender who was taken care of a few patrons at the bar. We grabbed menus and sat down at a separate area where the dart boards are. They had an up charge for fries over potato chips but I was in the mood for fries and it was reasonable $1.99. The sandwich was huge and I especially liked that the bun was toasted and crisp. The meat was not over cooked and the cheese was melted with the peppers and onions underneath. The fries looked pale but they were cooked and lightly salted. The cook brought the food out to us which was a nice touch. They checked on our table several times to make sure we were ok. My lunch mates had hamburgers which they really liked.
