As luck would have it, it was Binghamton Restaurant Week and we attempted a walk in - first available was three+ hours later - but the hostess mentioned we could get the RW menu at the bar and two seats were calling. Lots of choices on the menu but friend and I ended up having the same meal! Cup of Cauliflower, potato and leek soup to start was yummy - very comforting, not too thick, good flavor - I could have stopped here! But fortunately did not! Main was spectacular! Salmon with everything bagel spices served over pearl couscous in a risotto style was inspired (honestly, I will try this at home)! I hope this is a menu regular because I will crave this for many more meals! Add a black Manhattan and this meal is a treat! (Took the dessert course to go - blueberry cronuts were better than chocolate but both likely suffered a wee bit from loss of ambiance and slight steaming that occurred on drive - good for sure but did not compare to the rest of the meal). Shout out to Tommy F for exceptional service - attentive but not intrusive. Ambiance is lovely (the lighting dimmed as we sat - hysterical) but we also scored the most comfortable seats in the house (I hate a high top stool with no back and no padding on the seat - those stools look nice but should go away). Also love the hook under the bar.

I think it was Lauren, she was nice enough but did not go above and beyond for her customers. She did not want to move us to a more comfortable table, despite our requesting multiple times and the place was literally empty. Finally she was able to make it happen but it was already unpleasant. She was good with bringing us hot waters with lemon as requested, but there was zero proactiveness to refill the hot water or any of the iced water. It was like us going out and trying to please the waitstaff. She did make a good suggestion for the lavender gimlet cocktail. Overall disappointing.

This looks like a bookstore from outside. I love the vibe when you walk in. It actually feels like a speakeasy. You have to open a secret door when you walk inside the lighting the decor is all phenomenal. We did have to have a reservation as the place is completely booked on a Friday night, even the bar was too capacity. We were seated right away as we had reservations, the nice part about the reservations as well as you could text them to get those reservations. We had dinner prior to our reservations, so we didn't get a chance to try the food although the menu that was in a folded binder was lit when it opened a very cool little feature. The drink menu could've been a little bit more extensive for their specialty drinks, however, they had what seemed like hundreds of liquor options for you to make your own or to choose something on the rocks. Our server Nate was excellent, he suggested and recommended different drinks for us, he also brought over a little cheesecake because it was Amanda's birthday this week. Just an outstanding location vibe service experience. All of that. We would highly recommend it and if we're back in Binghamton, we would definitely go. If I lived in Binghamton. This is the place I would bring all of my guests to. Would we go back, absolutely, so much so that we are hoping or would love to see this in our hometown

People who used to go to it now own it, so while the name has changed and some required changes have taken place (RIP the old record jukebox!) it spiritually feels like the same friendly place, with a new outdoors and a great local vibe. Not exactly for BU students, but not exactly NOT, either. They don't mind much who comes in as long as you're respectful. Buy a shirt. Make it your local spot if you live nearby, or if you want to escape the chaos of downtown. The pizzeria next door is actually pretty good too. Enjoy.

This renovated house holds the pub and a pizzarria that share a common back area outside where people can smoke cigarettes, cigars and occasionally other substances. The back was filled with college students and locals. Some a bit more jolly on chemical induced happiness. A group of student aged kids were listening to a kid with a guitar try to sing, but they were mostly enjoying the conversations that occupy minds of similar aged people. Inside was a clean area with tables and the bar. A great digital jukebox that will eat your bills faster than you can drink your well priced beverages. I had a draft Yeungling for $3 and double Tito's and soda for $7. Long pours, friendly staff and an enjoyable crowd. 3 different television monitors in case you wanted to follow the ladies US Football (Soccer) squad grab a nice World Cup qualifier round against the lady Kiwis. We stayed in a BnB about a block North on Rotary Ave. a very safe, student filled area of post WWII homes with great front porches to enjoy the late Summer weather

Took an hour to get our meal. i got their steak salad special which was the weirdest with so many substitutions and omissions which the waitress never asked if I wanted something else. The only thing correct was steak, some salad (no dressing) and an avocado. Apparently if you are out of red onions, shishito peppers and lime tampanade and cilantro you throw in cherry tomatoes, jarred red peppers and some unknown jarred yellow pepper. I never tasted anything approaching lime or cilantro. i never complain but this was ridiculous. I commented I didn't even get the ciabatta bread and her comment was that the cook warned her he was out. WTF? My husband wanted to try their ' shortcake' with mixed berries'. By this time there were three people in the restaurant, including us. it took another half hour and we actually were standing to leave when it arrived. What arrived was half frozen mini biscuits that were covered in what looked like blueberry pie filling and whipped cream. No fresh berries and certainly not mixed berries. They must have been out of cherry and strawberry pie filling....
