There was nobody in there but us, and it was very quiet which was different since we usually go on weekends. It was interesting, just didn't know that was the vibe on weekdays. The bartender helped us immediately and we got out drink quickly. Now, my complaint is the price. This small cheese board was $25, it doesn't look as small in the pictures, but I promise the board was TINY. A quarter of a baguette, prepackaged olives, a few bites of cheese each? NOT worth the money. If I come back, I will not be getting any food that's for sure..::

From the moment you step inside, you are immersed in a trendy, upscale-casual atmosphere beautifully inspired by Frida Kahlo. We kicked things off with the Triple Dipper for the table--a giant basket of warm, fresh tortilla chips served with salsa roja, guacamole, and queso, with the guacamole and queso being absolute standouts. For my main, I ordered the Ensalada Verde and a slightly citrusy kale salad tossed with seasoned tortilla strips and extra pepitas. It was remarkably well-balanced, perfectly dressed, very tasty, and visually lovely, too! Thr service and atmosphere truly made the entire evening. Our server was friendly and attentive, effortlessly accommodating our request to split the bill three ways without missing a beat. And, even with the bustling atmosphere and the incredible amount of vibrant, intricate decor packed into the space, the restaurant was remarkably clean and well-maintained. It is always impressive to see a spot that has been open for a while keep up such pristine standards. We wrapped up our meal by sharing an order of churros--six hot, chewy sticks served with a spicy chocolate dipping sauce and whipped cream. The chocolate had a serious, wonderful kick to it, and the whipped cream was a lifesaver for balancing out the spice for those of us who love more heat than we can actually handle. Whether you're dropping in for one of their many margaritas or a scorpion bowl or enjoying a full, three-course meal, I highly recommend eating here while visiting Skaneateles!

Ordered a martini requested fruity, I believe it was raspberry not sure and a dark red for my friend. We sat in some cozy velvet purple chairs in the lounge area enjoying live Jazz music. My friend recalls this was a downstairs dining area for Burger King in the 80's-early 90's. The bar and Bath Room could be a bit tidier, but otherwise fun retro vibe. My second visit, I tried the grapefruit soda (not artificial tasting at all), the Shark Juice (tasted a bit too much like cologne, wasn't a fan), and the Gigi (couldn't taste the hojicha, liked the concept more than the execution). I would get the Gigi again, but would pass on the Shark Juice. Sitting inside, I enjoyed the quieter and calmer atmosphere as well as the soft lighting. The interior decor is very cosy and slightly eclectic. I came with a friend on a weekday evening and it was pretty empty which was nice. The outdoor patio space is very nice- I like the lanterns on the walls and the whole space is quite charming. I left with a few mosquito bites though. Overall, I would recommend Argos Inn!

The most incredible (and only) speakeasy in the Finger Lakes…read more After hours of driving, we knew we needed a cool spot to go to at night for some delicious wine. Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!

We ordered two of the chicken bites so the group could try both sauces, but since I'm not a fan of spicy, I only tried the honey truffle one and loved it. The guy was outside on the sidewalk grilling them and it smelled really good. So even though I was in the mood for wings, we decided to give the food here a try. We went in and got a table with no problem. Waitress said that along with the regular Wednesday night specials they also had $4 Beef on Weck for $4. We were really hungry so we ordered 2 Beef on Weck sandwiches and the hot dog special. It was amazing! The beef and au jus was fabulous! They each came with kettle chips and pickles. Yum!!!! And who does not love a Hoffman Hot, right?! Then we saw that they had 11 menu items for just $5 on Thursday nights from 4-10 pm. We had to be downtown again the next night so we went back!
