Connected to the Marriott, Eleven Waters feels slightly tucked away from an the main door traffic downtown. Nonetheless, it's clean, modern and quite spacious inside. The brunch menu was very reasonably priced for the area, which was very exciting for our wallets. The staff was lovely, we quickly had 2 team members try to seat us the moment they saw us and our server was wonderful. He had a great energy and that is always appreciated no matter where you are. The food was overall very good and we all enjoyed our mimosas. Everyone was quite pleased with a small caveat in the chicken on the chicken and waffles being on the dry side. Everything else was nailed, presentation was lovely and flavors popped bringing smiles all around. I recommend giving it a try as we will definitely be back again and look forward to trying their dinner service in the future. Enjoy!!

We were early for our rez and seated quickly so that was nice. Apps took 45 minutes and were bad, the squash soup was served cold and tasted gross (like it was frozen and not thawed properly), French onion was modestly better. Entrees were the high point (steak) and dessert was forgettable (from Sysco I think, definitely not in-house). Disappointing. Suggestions would be to work on service/timing and hire an in-house baker or buy from one of the many great local bakers for bread/fresh desserts. Will we be back? Probably not.

We ordered the bang bang shrimp appetizer, and the batter was so crispy and also fluffy (almost like a battered haddock but lighter) - awesome! The bang bang sauce has great flavor, but slightly too mayo forward for my preferences - but ate it up nonetheless and would get them again! I also ordered a blackberry margarita- which I will say was strong, but the flavors were great. When I asked if they minded giving me a couple Slices of lemon and some simple syrup (and yes I admitted that it was a ME problem, not that they made it poorly- it was just stronger and I'm a big wimp!) , they promptly, no questions asked said "we got this" and put the drink back in the shaker and added some simple syrup (mind you I was totally fine with just a little shot glass of it to dump in my drink!) - so the willingness to be so helpful was very appreciated. As for our entrees, one of us ordered the Cajun Alfredo and one of us ordered the Tropical Salmon, both were made incredibly well, and the flavor and seasoning was fantastic! The Alfredo sauce when I tried it was lovely, not so thick and "artery clogging" as some Alfredo can be, but coated the noodles beautifully and packed a flavorful punch. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the pineapple and coconut in the rice made for an amazingly delicious dish. We were also fortunate to sit at a window overlooking the swan pond and then take a nice walk around the pond. So lovely- cannot wait to go back!!

The reviews say it gets VERY busy, so we got up early and got on the waitlist. By the time we got there, it was our turn, so we sat immediately. The interior was nicely laid out. Our order took about 15 minutes to come, but it was worth the wait. The photos will describe what we ordered. Everything was perfectly prepared. The food was wonderful. The service was wonderful. The cost was reasonable as well. I wish we had discovered Rise N Shine earlier. We certainly will be back on our next visit.

Rise N Shine has such cute decor! I love the entrance and the overall aesthetic. The restaurant uses a QR code menu just FYI. There's also a parking lot which seemed like it would get full quickly if on a busier day. Our waitress was Karen (?) and she was very sweet. We ordered the Hot Honey Chicken and waffles (without gravy cause they ran out) and the Basic "B" with an extra side of hash brows. The chicken and waffles was pretty tasty! The waffles were light and airy and the chicken was moist with a nice crunch. I'm not sure how the gravy would've affected the texture but it was definitely delicious without it. The Basic B was standard, the bacon was apple smoked and thick. The pancakes were yummy, they came with a cinnamon butter which was perfect for the pancakes. And the hash browns were nice and crispy. Overall I really enjoyed trying this place out as it has been on my list! I will definitely come back again!

Over the course of dinner, the place never really filled up. And as the evening went on, I found out why. I will say that the food was very good - we asked for the Clams Casino and the Mozzarella Wedge. Soup of the day was New England Clam Chowder, it was nice and thick and loaded with both potatoes and clams. Definitely one of the better ones I've had. Dinner was the BLI Burger, which my wife tells me was very good but no better than quite a few deli's in Syracuse. I ordered the Truffle Gnocci and Scallops, which was expensive for the portion I got - they tried to make it look bigger by serving it in a large bowl but no one was fooled. About 6 gnocci and 3 scallops with some mushroom risotto. Pathetic. Then came the coup de grace... two filet au poivre with the Lazy Surf and Turf. What does this really mean, you might ask? Well, instead of getting a lobster tail they pull the meat out and serve it in a bowl of butter for you. Hence, "lazy" - you don't have to do any work. And they charge exorbitantly for this service. So the price was $74 for the steak with an additional upcharge of $28 for the "lazy" lobster tail. One guest got the lobster tail, one didn't. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth the price? Absolutely not - I've been to Chicago and gotten a better, larger cut of steak for far less than this. So for dinner the bill came to a little over $300 (not including tip). Ridiculous to pay for 4 dinners and a few appetizers, especially when one of them was a burger and fries. I could have gone to the Grotto in North Syracuse, gotten bigger portions, better quality food and spent about half as much. As it stands, I won't be back - not because of the food quality or the service, but because the prices are far too much for far too little.

I was a bit disappointed in the bread which did not seem to be sourdough or toasted and roasted red peppers that were small shreds. The taste was overall ok but larger pieces of red peppers and more lettuce would have helped a lot. My spouse is gluten free and we were pleased they had gf buns on their menu for an additional cost. I bit in, the breading was warm, but the dish itself was cold. So, I could tell it had been frozen. Our server came over a few minutes later. I let her know that my fish was ice cold. She took it back. 20 minutes later (an hour after I originally ordered), my fish came out again. This time the breading was burned and rock hard. I pulled the fish apart; the inside was burnt too. The haddock was brown. I let my server know. By this point, I now had had ice cold fish and then burned fish. I don't know what they're doing in the kitchen over there, but this is not the place to get haddock. On top of this, we heard good things about this place, drove an hour to get here and it definitely wasn't worth it. Save your money.
