Breakfast time.
Joel H.

It's always fun to walk into any kind of shop and feel like the staff has knocked the ball out of the park, and... I haven't even had any food yet. The restaurant is located on the ground level of the Hotel Syracuse (Marriott Hotel.). I never mince words expressing my hesitancy about the restaurants in the hotel as they have pretty much a captive audience. Many windows on all sides made for a big bright restaurant. We came in for breakfast and I know the Marriott breakfast routine there. Usually everything they have is ion the A la carte menu and comes to $15-$17, without coffee or juice. BUT... The buffet is 19.99 and includes everything. I had the yogurt parfait and it was DELICIOUS. Could have been one of the best I have ever had. Then went with a ham and cheese omelette... Again, it was perfectly cooked, tasty and filling. The rolls and Croissants were also great. My wife said that she felt like she was on a cruise ship. Our server was fantastic and was constantly monitoring our table to make sure we were all good. WE WERE all good. KUDOs to the team at Eleven Waters.

Ugh, I so wanted this place to be great. Don't get me wrong, service was great, the staff was attentive and helpful. The space is beautiful with lots of big windows for natural light. And the location is clutch if you're staying at that hotel. But I have to warn you, don't get the lobster Benny. I was so excited to order it, had picked it from the menu before I even arrived. But you could smell it coming. I love seafood, but this smelled seafoody in a way you don't want it to smell. And maybe, maybe there was one piece of lobster claw. The rest was tiny little squiggly pieces of what I hoped was lobster meat. It was tough to eat, and for a really high price point. I hope the other options are better, but stay far away from the lobster benny.

We had dinner at eleven waters as part of downtown dining weeks. The restaurant is located on the ground level of the Marriott hotel. When we arrived, we walked through the hotel lobby and the bar to get to the main dining area, and were surprised to find it mostly empty, although it did fill in more throughout the evening. The interior was nice and we could hear music drifting in from the bar area. Their dining weeks menu had lots of delicious selections. The fried zucchini was elevated and some of the best I have ever had. I also tried some of my husband's Caesar salad which was very good. I had hoped to order a margarita off the cocktail menu but they were out, so I enjoyed a glass of their house Chardonnay instead. I noticed that their glassware was inconsistent- I saw 3 different styles of white wine glasses. I had the Scallops Gnocchi for my entree, and it was definitely something I would order again. The portions for entrees were a little smaller than most restaurants, but I later heard that they chose to serve slightly smaller portions for dining weeks. For dessert I had the cannolis, which had a perfect ricotta filling. They also gave us a coupon at the end of the meal for our next visit, which I appreciated.

I was sad to hear that Eleven Waters no longer served dinner, but their brunch is still going strong! They have a variety of options, and a buffet bar! I got the apple pie French toast, and it was super yummy. The cider syrup was a perfect complement, and the granny smith apples provided a wonderful tartness. The staff was very nice, but seemed like they may be stretched a little thin. All in all a positive brunch experience!

My experience here for Sunday morning breakfast was interesting. Here's the gist: - If you have the time and the patience, I would HIGHLY recommend ordering food vs the buffet. When I went, the buffet looked horrendous and almost made me change my mind about eating here at all - There seems to be a general disconnect between management and staff. Story time: We were a large group and when we checked in we were told that it would be a 10-15 min wait to be sat. We informed the host that we could be sat separately if it made us sat faster, they said ok. 15 min goes by and one of our party checks in with the host again emphasizing we can be sat separately. They again reiterate it will be a wait. 20 minutes goes by. We then found the manager told them the situation and said we could be sat separately. They replied "oh well if you could be sat separately, we would have sat you already" and we were promptly sat. - I understand but do not like the "drink stations" of coffee, juice and water around the restaurant for only the servers to access. I feel like with a buffet as part of the restaurant it makes more sense to have a spot where people can come and refill their beverages at their leisure vs waiting for a server to come and take their drink order and then go and get the drink and bring it back. Personally, I waited about 10 minutes after sitting until I got my beverages - Food was pretty good, I was impressed with the quality of food that I was served and everything was prepared as I ordered it

Food was delicious. We went during dining week and we're not disappointed. The clams were incredible, the salad fresh and the fish scrumptious. They had a wide wine selection. The restaurant was clean and quiet. Our server was tentative and friendly.

Great breakie sandwich. the waitstaff was friendly and efficient. It came very fast. And the vibe in the place was great ambiance. Modern hotel chic

Charcuterie board as an appetizer was just enough to split between 2. All meats were flavorful and the mustard was to die for!

This was a good pick for a date night spot. The menu catered to mine and my husband's food preferences. The winners of the meal were definitely the charcuterie board and the chocolate mousse. The entrees could've done with more seasoning, however they were good enough to enjoy. Our server told us they would be switching the menu soon, so I'm excited for what they add next!

Did I get the same thing again? Yes I did this sandwich never misses! It's my Al time favorite brunch sandwich. My friend got the shrimp and grits and they said it was very good. I love this place the hash browns by themselves are gold especially with a side of their garlic aioli sauce.

The food is good but the service is terrible so it makes for a bad experience. I'm not sure if it's due to a staffing shortage or what. I don't think I'll be back for brunch.

They were also so kind to give me a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate my birthday. Wednesdays are $2 off all cider and wines so my friends enjoyed that deal as well. The Wedge changes their menu on a weekly basis so I was excited to see what was on this weeks menu so naturally we had to get multiple dishes to share in order to try as much as possible. We ordered two pasta dishes, truffle fries for the table, and brussel sprouts to share family style and we didn't leave a crumb behind! All the dishes were more unique than a typical pasta dish you may find elsewhere which was extra fun and soo delicious! The brussels were so soft and topped with so much flavor. I would love to come again to try their brunch menu and continue coming throughout the year to try many new items as their menu rotates. I really wanted to try their mac and cheese so I am determined to come back at the right time for that one!

Cocktails were imaginative with a wide variety. Personally tried to Ceasar Salad Martini for something different and the Berry the Hatchett for my favorite kinda of of cocktail. Spicy! Loved both. Ceasar Salad Martini truly tasted like a light ceasar salad. All the food was fantastic, shrimp bisque, poached pear salad, steak with fabulous mashed potatoes, and one of the best lava cakes I've ever had and a shockingly good combo of Basque cheesecake and blood orange. And not to mention their cheese platter to start the night! Staff was friendly. Inside is cute and cozy, feels like an upscale Cafe with adorable artwork. Great place for a special occasion or just a catch up date night. Cannot wait to go back.

TPOH nailed it: "Speaking of hearing, I can't take too much loud music I mean I like to play it, but I sure don't like the racket" I'm starting here, with the vibe, which sets the scene, dig? Decor-wise, it's luxe lounge, and is a welcome surprise in the Salt City. We use Resy, and...either the hostess misheard our party size, didn't really care, didn't really doublecheck to read our actual reservation, or whatever man, that's just your opinion. So, the backroom might have been a bit better suited for us olds, we were ushered into the front room. Not the window, but pretty darn close. Again, fun for people watching, inside and out. But damn it kids, if you have a DJ, I want to talk to Sir Vibes A Lot and ask them how they think thumping house music actually aids in digestion? Maybe I unconsciously started chewing to the unrelenting 4/4 beat, anything's possible. Now onto the menu, and back to the identity crisis. Like a lot of places, the York has a broad spectrum of offerings. Burger. Nashville Hot. Multiple pasta options. Sure, sure, sure. The porkchop with kimchi fried rice was the clear winner, hands down. The chicken, mashed and greens took second place (but I'll give ya a pro tip chef: the longer you cook your greens, the better they are). The salmon was a distant third because everything bagel seasoning is a lot after a while, and the veg was uninspired. Our TL:DR recommendation is come for cocktails and poutine. The poutine satisfied by itself. Our server was great- thanks, Destiny!

I had the pleasure of returning to Touché for a second visit on Saturday evening, and once again,…read morethe experience was exceptional. It's not uncommon for a new restaurant to impress the first time, only to fall short on subsequent visits. Touché, however, proves to be a welcome exception. Their continued commitment to quality, creativity, and classic French influences remains evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Several days before our reservation, I received a courteous text from the charming and attentive hostess, Bridgette, requesting details about the members of my dining party, including names and dietary restrictions. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by name and seated at a table adorned with a personalized name card--an unnecessary but thoughtful and memorable gesture that set the tone for the evening. I selected the very reasonably priced three‑course prix fixe menu ($70), while the rest of my party opted for the Steak Frites. My starter, a colossal scallop, was beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. While the nettle purée could have used a touch more vibrancy, it still complemented the bright yuzu dressing well. The main course--a perfectly cooked half duck breast accompanied by roasted celeriac purée and a currant‑cassis jus--was a standout. The deep berry notes paired beautifully with the richly rendered duck fat. Although I typically gravitate toward savory dishes, the dessert was an impressive finale: a Sablé Breton with blood orange cream, thyme Chantilly, thyme jam, and a rocher of coffee ice cream. The combination of sweet, salty, and herbaceous elements was wonderfully balanced and thoroughly enjoyable. I was fortunate enough to try a few bites of the Steak Frites, which did not disappoint--nor did it for the other members of my party. Our meals were complemented by excellent cocktails from the well‑stocked bar. The bartender was knowledgeable, skilled, and engaging. The open‑concept kitchen is also a delight to observe, and I look forward to reserving a seat at the chef's table on my next visit. One of the ongoing challenges in the Syracuse dining scene, in my opinion, is a general lack of restraint. Touché distinguishes itself with its thoughtful menu design, technical precision, and appropriate portion sizes. We left feeling thoroughly attended to and perfectly satiated. I sincerely hope Touché continues its pursuit of excellence both in the kitchen and in the dining room. Syracuse needs restaurants of this caliber, and I eagerly anticipate their spring and summer menus.
