I love the ski…read morecabin look the restaurant has and the big windows are perfect to watch everyone skiing out there. My friend and I came in to share dinner after our ski day and the food was fast, hot, yummy, and waitress was kind and attentive. They had live music on Jan 2nd, I thought there would be singing but it was just the music which was nice to have on in the background. We shared an appetizer of mac and cheese and a flatbread and it was the perfect amount of food to fill us up. We really liked the mac and cheese but the flatbread was nothing impressive, pretty flavorless. We also each had a hot chocolate which is exactly what I was craving all during our cold ski day.

Reservation was easy to make. Ample parking. Gorgeous property and views! Our server was amazing! Loved that he's eaten some items from the menu and was able to provide valuable input. Awesome drinks and appetizers! Unfortunately, things went down hill. Our meals came out and everyone's was cold. Not just lukewarm, but cold, confirmed by the chef who did offer an apology. I'll probably give them another opportunity to redeem themselves as everything up to that point had been spectacular.

I was low key having a rough time after working so late but this incredible meal turned things around: the strawberry salad was so fresh and well-balanced and I simply couldn't NOT order something from their meat case in the front, which offers local cuts. I got the tenderloin medium rare with broccolini and mashed potatoes. They did something TRULY special here. Goat cheeseinthemash. Or something. Like a blue cheese that was a goat cheese? Idk but it was truly genius. I haven't stopped thinking about it. My waitress was also tending the bar and did an amazing job, I felt so well looked after and the bar patrons stayed entertained. I only saw her visiting the various tables so props for handling that many people solo! I kinda can't wait to come back up here for work if it means I get to visit this place when I mentioned I planned to go to sackett's table for dinner, my customer immediately knew I was in for a great time. When you have such a good rep with locals and visitors, it's bc you're doing something right.

The inside is very nice and big, we took sat at the bar because we were just having a drink and appetizer. They didn't have a drink menu, which I thought was odd. However, the bartender made us a delicious drink she said her version of Bay Breeze was a Sunset Pines, and we got two for $15. They were amazing!! We just went with the mozzarella sticks for $9 for our munchie and they were good.

The mushrooms were barely cooked, and the sandwich was dry. I even requested au jus in an attempt to salvage it, but unfortunately that didn't help. To make matters worse, my side salad was initially forgotten. To the server's credit, she removed the sandwich from my bill and offered to bring me something else. However, by that point I had lost confidence in the meal and declined. I ultimately ended up eating only the side salad. While the service recovery was appreciated, the food itself was a major disappointment. In the end, the only thing I ate was the side salad, which cost $8 on its own. While I appreciate the server's efforts to make things right, the food quality and execution were far below expectations. I left hungry, disappointed, and unlikely to return.
