It's three juicy meat patties, caramelized with zesty mustard, and stacked with melted cheese. TASTY! I arrived on Tuesday (around 10:19AM). Although Official Opening Hours are 10:30AM, this In-N-Out takes orders before then. Parking is easy. The parking lot is very spacious. Staff (receipt says Katelyn) is professional and friendly. Katelyn worked hard. My order took six minutes and 56 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the "3 by 3 - Mustard Style - No Lettuce, No Tomatoes, Grilled Onions" Burger ($8.30 - Secret Menu Item). HUGE! The ingredients are fresh & clean, and the flavor of zesty mustard, beef, and cheese shined brightly. If you enjoy the saltiness of mustard, you'll love this thick, juicy burger. On ambiance, the location is charming. The colors pop, and the location is relatively clean. The air is a little humid, but there's plenty of inside and outside seating. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I had a good experience at In-N-Out Burger (Covina). The meal arrived fresh and satisfying. It's an affordable option if searching for a clean burger. 4.7 out of 5

My boys became somewhat addicted to the Box Combo with fresh lemonade over the past couple of years. After every soccer or baseball game I'd swing by and treat them to a meal. We'd easily spend over $100 per week here. Yeah, it ain't cheap! About 2 weeks ago I ordered their regular fare at the drive-thru and headed home. After the boys finished their meals I cleaned up after them. When I checked to see if they had finished their drinks, I noticed something unusual at the bottom of one of the cups. When I pulled off the lid for a closer look I noticed wings on a tiny insect. I inspected the other cup and saw what looked like a small piece of pulp, which I assumed was from the fresh squeezed lemonade. As a courtesy to our favorite eatery, I called Cane's to alert them to this issue. When I relayed my reason for calling and asked to speak to the supervisor in charge I was informed they were unavailable but I could call back the next day. I suggested it would be better for the location manager to call me, and left my name and phone number. I saved the drink cups on my kitchen counter overnight so I could have them handy when the Cane's manager returned my call. The next morning I was disgusted to see several small bugs now crawling around the lid of the cup that had what I thought was pulp. The "pulp" was more likely a birthing sac for these winged bugs! So, I now count the minutes for the call from Cane's so I can share my disgust. Problem is, they never called. Gee, thanks. So fast forward 2 weeks and the memory of that incident is fading when my boys beg to go to Cane's after their ballgame. Yes, this is clearly an addiction. Since they both played great that day I put aside my disgust from our previous visit and get them their usual Box Combo only this time with a Dr. Pepper since I don't want to go near the lemonade again. Ok, here's where it gets absolutely F'd up. After they are done eating I clean up. What do I see at the bottom of the Dr. Pepper cup? You don't want to know!! I call Cane's and demand to speak to the GM. I am told to hold for Marguerite. When I express my concerns she assures me they keep everything clean. I insist on meeting with her asap to show her what "clean" is NOT supposed to look like. I meet her 2 days later on a Saturday morning and show her all the cups, which I held onto just so she could see what my kids had been served up. It's one thing to hear these incidents on the phone but entirely different when you actually see the disgusting proof. She seemed unfazed and asked me, "what would you like me yo do?" I informed her that I shared my experience as a courtesy, the kind of courtesy you extend to a loyal, faithful, long time friend. I suggested she inspect her chain of supplies from the fresh lemonade, paper cup storage, and ice dispenser. Two separate incidents with BUGS in my order is unacceptable. As much as my kids love Cane's in Azusa, we can never go back. With Options right across the street like Chic-Fil-A, Panera Bread, Popeyes, In & Out, Panda Express, The Habit, Cava, etc you must earn our trust and loyalty. That's right Cane's... we buggin' out!! ‍ Do better. Or not.

Our order was taken without any prompt for sauces, and when we reached the window, we were rushed through with no opportunity to clarify only to then be told, "next time just tell us at the speaker." To be clear, I am a paying customer, not an employee. It is not my responsibility to accommodate staff disorganization or guess when I'm allowed to speak. If sauces are part of the order and such a delay to request, ask at the speaker (as many other fast-food chains do successfully) or ask at the window instead of abandoning the customer mid-transaction. When chili sauce and sour cream were requested, only one item was handed over, as if attention to detail were optional. Speed does not excuse inaccuracy, and dismissiveness is never acceptable. This experience felt rushed, careless, and avoidable. Basic communication and accuracy should not be this difficult, especially when customers are paying for a service. It's just a Wendy's, but you should do better.

Mind you, this was in downtown Monrovia and I'm in Montebello, so it was about a 24-minute drive. We got there around 11:10pm and they closed at midnight on a Monday night. Parking was easy since it's in a strip center in downtown Monrovia, but I'm assuming that's because it was late. Not sure how parking is during the day. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. It was a cool little spot with quite a few customers still inside, which was a good sign. The guy helping us was super nice and attentive. We ordered the Corn Cheese, Garlic Chili Chicken, Mussel Soup, fries, and two sides of steamed rice. The fries were crispy and really good. The corn cheese was delicious, I'd probably add spice to it next time. The garlic chicken was very flavorful. The mussel soup had a very strong ocean taste and could've used just a little more seasoning, but I think that's just the style of the soup since it's more of a light broth. Overall though, everything else was great, good food, good vibe, and great service.

So it's been a while since we visited. But during our return from Palm Desert back to Long Beach, we took a slight detour to Glendora to pick up their famous donuts during late morning, hoping that it wasn't too busy. There wasn't much of a line, with plenty of surface parking nearby. It's walk-up only, with a small window in the front where you place your order and get your box. The guy manning the window was giving off strange vibes: definitely felt it as I watched him interact with the customers in front of us: telling vs listening. The exit to the line is the same as the entrance, so the previous customers had to squeeze past us. I then waited for the cashier to come back...as he did and before I could speak, he slammed shut the screen on the window in my face and yelled something to the effect of ~I'm busy, will come back in a bit~. The slamming of the door is a practiced bit, and was meant to show everyone who was in charge. He did come back in a bit, but by this time I was nonplussed. I knew what to order (thank goodness), but then he asks 'What kind of strawberry?'...idk. So I pointed to the famous strawberry (as mentioned on the receipt)...no response, but he must have gotten what he wanted. Then his next response was 'You will pay for this AFTER I've boxed up the donuts' as he pointed to the credit card machine. What's funny was that he smiled and joked with his co-workers while he was doing this (just not at the customers)...so this must be the normal here. We got 5 things in total: 2 tiger tails ($3.40 each), 2 strawberry ($6.50), 1 sugar ($2.05). All were excellent donuts , with the whole strawberries being used not being overly sweet this time. The dough used for the donuts reminds me of a very good Chinese donut holes: a bit yeasty, but not as much as a KrispyKreme, and not cakey at all. With a sugar glaze, it very well could be my perfect donut. The donuts are indeed all that, but the possibility of such rude customer interaction (and that the owners are putting him and his attitude out in front instead of in the back where it belongs) negates any inclination to want to return (note to my future self).
