I feel the need to update my review in response to a comment (below) on my previous review. I could settle the matter privately but want to ensure that others are aware of the entire situation.
FLUFF COMMENT:
"3/18/2014 We contacted you privately some time ago to figure out what prompted you to ultimately write a fake review describing a visit and a circumstance that never took place. We had to research this and nobody with your name ever came in for the set of services you described. Additionally, curls take a stylist between 10-15 minutes. Straight hair takes a stylist much less time. Why would a busy stylist take an extra 10-15 minutes to curl your hair when you had asked for straight hair, and how would you not notice your hair was being curled while they were curling it over that 10-15 minute period of time? If someone brings in a photo, we do our best to make your hair look like the photo...period. All of our services are guaranteed, meaning if you do not like your service, you do not leave until you do. That goes for make-up as well. We have done hundreds of weddings and have one of the best bridal teams in the state and our wedding feedback for hair and makeup has been outstanding, so you are correct in your assessment that our reviews are good.
Your review is an anomaly. Please let us know who you are and the reason you'd write falsified information in a public forum so I can look into the matter. If you came in for other services under a different name (and likeness since nobody had ever seen the person in your photo), please contact me directly. Our business is to beautify Denver and our goal is to show everyone an amazing time. We definitely want to know when we fall short and how we can improve the experience we provide, however we are saddened by your story and would love to find the truth behind the writing of it.

MY UPDATE:
This is outrageous. Alex sent me a nice message two months ago and I've yet to respond, and for that, I'm very sorry--truly. For everybody's understanding, she is the lead makeup artist and head of the makeup program and tried to find my visit in their system, was unable to do so, and then asked me to call so that I could help her figure it out and she could make it right. I was in Mexico on my honeymoon when I received the email notification of her message and had three immediate thoughts: (1) it's too late to make it right and I have no occasion for them to try again, (2) if it was Alex who did my makeup she will entirely deny what I've said (which is what Benjamin just did for whoever the makeup artist was), and (3) I should comment on my review to let everybody else know that they tried to make it right and I haven't taken them up on it. I was stressed about how to respond and my husband suggested I wait until we get home to handle it; I put the message aside and honestly forgot about it.
I'm in disbelief about your accusations, Benjamin. I don't think I've ever been so offended by a service provider in my life. That said, I'm glad you responded as you did so that others can see for themselves what they are getting into. For your knowledge, although I now have zero desire to ever work with you again or "make this right," I have a huge desire for others to know that NOTHING about my review was made up or "fake" and so I will respond. My appointment was on 2/15/13--I had a makeup appointment at 11:15 and hair at 12:00. I was literally the only person there besides employees (at least in the beginning, I can't recall if other patrons came in later). When I arrived, the stylists suggested I flip flop the appointments so that the makeup application wouldn't get messed up when my hair was washed, so I did.
To quickly respond to your concerns, I knew that the stylist was curling my hair because she told me she was--I asked her not to and she said I would love it and that if I didn't, she would undo it. That's why "too much time was spent curling it." She wasn't busy because, like I said, I was the only client there. Lastly, the photo I brought in was just a normal picture on my phone of me on a normal day. I didn't have a photo of what I wanted; I shared it so that the stylists could see my day-to-day hair and makeup because I came in with a messy bun and no makeup on.
Suggesting that I have written "falsified information in a public forum" is a bully move to intimidate me. I'm sorry that you do not like my review of the services I received, but that does not make it "falsified." My information is not false and my review is not fake and, no, my name is not made up, either. My reservations were in my name, Allison (last name), the emails I exchanged with Brit were in my name, and the name displayed on my Yelp account is, yes, my name. I shared your message with my husband this morning and his response was: "of course they haven't seen the person in that photo, you looked nothing like yourself when you walked out."
I'll leave it at that. read more
