Christina listens to everything I tell her and even remembers what I talked about last time I was in, which makes it feel personable and welcoming. She also really cares about what you are saying about how you want your hair to look like, color and cut, and I truly have always been happy with my results- which maybe I'm a diva but that hasn't been the case at other salons. Unprofessional - They ruined my hair and did nothing about it. I called several times, was calm and understanding. Accidents happen. It was a service they failed to deliver on and caused damages to me. I asked for a full to partial refund. The owner wouldn't address the issue with me. I was told several times for 3 weeks she would get back me directly. Eventually she put one of her employee's on the phone to try to get me to do another process to "fix it". It was unprofessional. I got charged over $200 and lost a lot of my hair in the process. (The service was all over black dye with a gloss coat.) I'm not saying all the stylist's there are that green. But if something goes wrong the owner of the establishment won't do much about it. read more

I got my blonde highlights / balayage done at this salon last year. My hair turned out ok, not the best. I wouldn't recommend coming here for blonde work. A few issues: 1. The price they quoted me in the salon was 2x what was shown on the website. The stylist did tell me before starting on my hair, but it was still a bit of a shock. 2. The color was nowhere near as bright as I wanted based on photos I showed. The stylist agreed it turned out darker than she was expecting, and offered to fix it for no charge in an additional appointment (which I appreciate). But I didn't really feel like going through the whole process twice 3. I'm not sure what products they use, but my hair has been so dry and damaged since getting my highlights done here (and I don't even go super bright with my blonde). I've had highlights done probably 10-15 times in my life, and have never had hair that's felt so dry / damaged. Again, the highlights were fine. Not exactly what I asked for but still pretty / well-blended. I just don't think it was worth the damage done to my hair. read more

Ken is amazing! I've never been here before (just Google searched a salon) as my husband and I were in town for a visit -- I wanted to chop my hair and he just needed a quick cut. We both LOVED our cuts by Ken and couldn't stop complimenting each other after haha. I moved from Boulder and had to leave my awesome stylist, Laurie. After weeks of checking Yelp and IG pages, I decided to schedule an appointment with Claire and I just came back from my second visit. Claire is fricking AMAZING. The salon ambience is fine enough - nothing eloquent or outstanding and I think that is intentional. Certainly welcoming which is a plus. No fusses which I like and I assume during COVID, things are a little different. I do wish the wall with the plastic greenery was not there for more natural lighting ... honestly that would be my only gripe and even at that, who cares, right? Claire is an incredible artisan. She listens to you and is willing to offer suggestions, always thinking outside the box. Her cutting ability is off the charts and she is not afraid to play with color. This visit she inched my golden warm yellow to an icy blonde. Since I wear my hair up a lot, we decided on an undercut for some interest. Next visit we will give that undercut some color. Just finished my appointment with Sierra and I couldn't be happier! I'm new to Denver and I am used to having poor experiences at hair salons (and I'm not picky.. that should say something). I was immediately greeted and seated. Sierra knows what she's doing. She knows how to work with people, set really great expectations and have a good time while you know I'm sitting there for hours. Shyer is so creative and knowledgeable. She's a true hair professional. When we were discussing what i was hoping for, she asked very open ended questions and listened intently. She offered solutions when I wasn't sure exactly what I was trying to communicate about my hair. Together we agreed on a plan and she executed it flawlessly. I give her 14/10!!! I walked out of the salon feeling AHHHMazing!!! Not only is she a true artist and seasoned professional, she's super fun to work with! For me, sitting in a chair for several hours isn't my idea of a good time... until I met Ken at Fox & Jane! I had to find someone new after my last stylist of 5 years moved. Ken has so many years of experience working with different hair types in different major cities--I knew I was in good hands. I've been seeing Ken for 6 months now, and every time I leave him after getting my hair done, the following week is filled with compliments from strangers and friends telling me how much they love my hair. There's a small part of me that doesn't want to write this review because I don't want Ken getting too busy where I can't get an appointment, but I know others deserve the 5-star service I get from him every time. Really thought I had already made this review but apparently not, better late than never! After visiting Sierra at another salon I was pleasantly surprised to hear she had moved to a new one a bit closer to home. When I walked in for my appointment, I was greeted by a super sweet receptionist who promptly offered me something to drink for my consult. Loved the vibe, the decor is simple but fun. Our consult went great so we made an appointment for an all over heavy highlight to give me a very blonde look without damaging my already heavily processed hair. I knew I was in good hands as Sierra has taken me platinum before. The Sunday of my appointment we had the salon to ourselves which meant we rocked great music the whole time and got to chat about whatever. Sierra is seriously so sweet and such an awesome person to work with! When all was said & done, the final look was KILLER. I was back to my ice queen status but my ends are still super healthy! We are working together towards my goal of getting a gorgeous lived-in icy look (with extensions!! She's their extension expert) for my wedding this October. I am SO stoked and so happy with my hair. So I recently moved to Colorado and am trying to find a salon so that I don't have to fly back and forth to California. It was my first time and wanted to go lighter after 5-6 months of not doing anything with my hair since I moved. I really expected so much more. I drove an hour and a half to go to this salon to see Oceanna because she had very good reviews and the pictures from clients looked really good. I want to cry right now. This is $239 worth of highlighting. What. In. The. Hell. I wanted something that looked natural and blended down so that I have a good grow out and not have to go back for a couple months. I already knew there were going to be lines where the bleach met my hair because of how she was applying it. It looks fine with all my hair down but once you look through, lines everywhere. I also had to ask her to pull it down so that it's by my ears because having highlights high up in my face looks weird. I have close to black hair...you really can't just plop bleach on and I know enough about getting a proper balayage because I've been going to the same salon in California where they actually explained to me what they were doing! I didn't want to say it was bad and I knew it wasn't going to turn out right, but this is 5 hours of whatever and I just wanted to leave. The medium/long haircut I got...I don't even know, she cut half an inch in a line? and then I guess "textured" the ends (whole haircut took maybe 5 minutes) and that was supposed to be $60+? It literally looks the same as before they cut it, actually worse cause now there is no layering because they cut in a straight LINE. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do..wear my hair up all the time in a ponytail now? I'm giving 2 stars because staff were nice and welcoming but my hair is not how I wanted it to come out. read more

I was greeted the second I walked in and offered a couple different options of drinks and was brought back by my stylist shortly after. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing at the same time. I have been going to see Sierra for a while now and I really cannot say enough great things about her. She was the first and only person that I've trusted with my hair. She has done a balayage on my hair 3 times now and I am always in love with the results. I saw a stylist named Claire here about two months ago and she completely DESTROYED my hair. I had come in to get my hair done by her because I had read some great reviews but trust me, I am not the only person to have my hair ruined because of her practice, I know of at least two other people. Anyways, I went into Fox and Jane with a dark red color on my hair and had requested to go platinum. This in itself is definitely a challenge and I knew that this would not be a one and done kind of thing and she had agreed to do it. After about 8 hours in the chair I ended up leaving with basically brown hair. Not what I wanted at all. We met again a month after that to re evaluate and do a toner. My next appointment was set for a balayage??? Shortly after this I went to another salon and the stylist was shocked at how damaged my hair was and how unprofessionally she had applied lightener to my hair. I will never be going back to the Denver Fox and Jane location ever again. If you're willing to let Claire touch your hair, I believe that is one of the biggest mistakes you can make. I now I'm down $350 (this service was a color correction and she didn't charge me for the full 8 hours because she knew she had messed up) and am left with hair that is completely fried. The best this salon will offer is a hair treatment. I don't really want a hair treatment, I would like the condition of my hair to be restored to before I met them but this will never happen no matter how many treatments I am offered. This salon is a joke. They act as though they are a high quality salon but the quality is not worth the price or your hair. Do NOT waste your time or money here. read more

Fox & Jane is the best salon experience I have ever been part of and I'm so happy I finally found my hair home in Denver! Brittany (the owner) got me in for a balayage appointment a week before my best friends wedding and my hair was a beautiful, buttery blonde and has been since then! She also gave me a more multi-dimensional cut that gives my super thin, flat hair more volume. I got toner a few weeks ago and am still LOVING the color, can't wait for my balayage in February right before my birthday! One thing about Fox&Jane that I have never seen with other salons is they truly CARE how you feel after you get your hair done. I told Brittany I had a big event in January that I really wanted a nice blowout + waves for, and she booked me with her assistant to make me feel glam for the party. I absolutely loved Alex's technique for my beachy waves, and when I went to go pay for my 'do, he said that Brittany had covered it and they just wanted me to feel super special at my big event. I left with my heart SO FULL and I cannot express how grateful I am to Brittany and her staff for making me feel like the belle of the ball. Oceanna is so wonderful! She was kind, and professional. She listened to what My hair ideas were and chatted with me about what the upkeep of coloring my roots would be in the future, (which is great because I have been misinformed in the past at other salons about upkeep) she helped my vision come to life. We had a blast just chatting and chopping off 10 inches of my hair! She walked me through what she was doing and answered a lot of my questions about hair products and hair care. I don't know who taught Oceanna to cut hair but it was by far the best cut I've ever had anyone do on my hair. We went with a lob and fresh color (baylage). Everything was spot on the way envisioned it. She was so professional and very knowledgeable about the products she was using and the techniques she was using. I booked my appointment online and saw Oceanna was the only one available for my selected date. I got a confirmation email with a price estimate (could change depending on decisions at salon) I also checked out their Instagram to get some fabulous ideas of what my experience would be like that day. The whole salon was modern and adorable! Several of the women who were working asked me if I needed any refreshments or if I needed anything at all. The whole staff seems very kind and thoughtful of their clients. I did street park which made me a bit nervous since it was only 2 hour parking. I was told there is free not timed parking around the block. This was definitely the best salon experience I have had so far. She's great with my curls, and I tend to let her do whatever she thinks will look good. That strategy hasn't let me down so far! So far, I have a cute French bob with a white streak in the front, and I've gotten so many compliments. Noel was great, she asked me very specific questions about how I liked my hair done and what my expectations were. I've never had a stylist be so in depth with asking me how I wanted my hair done so right off the bat I was very impressed. As she did my hair she explained exactly what she was doing. I have been coming to this salon for my 3 last haircuts & they have changed prices on me after getting an inch of hair cut off everytime. I requested the price be adjusted to what I have been paying as there was no conversation about this difference, just charged my card. Apparently getting an inch cut off (no new layers or thinning, or "special" cuts) of my medium thick hair has called for an extra $15. Getting ahold of a manager took weeks just for them to basically tell me it's my fault and no readjustment will be granted. The quality of work also varies, they don't touch the front or back pieces of my hair unless I specifically ask for it, as well as asking for my layers to not look so choppy... for this price point it's ridiculous to ask. Mady did an amazing job my first cut, she was very thorough and detailed. I wish this was consistent throughout the stylists. read more

AVOID THIS SALON LIKE THE PLAGUE This could happen to you too! I've been having Brittany at Fox & Jane lighten my hair from dark brown with a goal of getting it to silver grey. She is the co-owner of the salon. I CANNOT recommend her professionally for lightening. I cannot recommend the salon due to unprofessional handling of my hair being damaged. The New York salon said she would be the best person in the Denver salon to successfully do the job. I had been considering flying to a salon in California that is renowned for lightening dark hair to silver grey. At this point, I wish I had. Instead, I opted for having Brittany do the job. Brittany said she wanted to lighten it in multiple visits, with time for my hair to heal in between (moisturizing treatments and Oleplex treatments in between). $1,168.23 later, after 4 visits (2 involving lightening\toner including cutting off 6 inches due to damage , 2 involving fully paid visits or conditioning to repair the damage, toning\semipermanent dye which was supposed to make it more silver and was brassy blond instead) and purchasing of care products from the salon, MY NOW BRASSY BLOND HAIR IS COMPLETELY TRASHED and I'm going to have to cut it very short and "grow it out" to silver grey. I kept making additional visits and trusting her in hopes of repairing my hair and getting it to silver grey. At this point my trust is gone along with a lot of my hair due to extreme breakage in the back and on the sides. UPDATE: Dec 28, I called as per your now deleted response to my review. I was told they NEVER do refunds. VERY untraditional and unprofessional. ---------- PS. I went to a different salon yesterday afternoon and had my hair cut short by someone I could trust, even though I don't want short hair... but there is really no other choice at this point. This hairdresser asked if the salon that fried my hair refunded me. I said no. He was shocked and said this is very unprofessional. I should not have even had to ask for a refund, it should have been automatic on their part. He also told me you should NEVER use 30 volume developer, which is what she did and probably why my hair fryed and broke. He said (he's the owner of a well know Boulder Salon) they should have refunded me in full and not charged me for the conditioner sessions after my hair was fryed. UPDATED JAN 3: VERY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS AND SKILLS - AVOID THEM ...As per the salons response below saying ,of all things, it was not because of them and I was happy......NO, My hair did not break off all of a sudden 4 months later as they are saying! NO, I was sending emails to Brittany saying my hair was dry, brittle and breaking off. The breakage started after the first visit and I sent the co-owner\hairdresser emails about it in response to her emailing me asking how my hair was (they don't have a phone number for the salon). I was emailing Brittany, in a gracious manner, to let her know of the issue and ask what could be done. That is why Brittany suggested I cut 6 or more inches off at the second session. At the second visit, I clearly remember Brittany saying my hair was getting tacky while the bleach was on and her rushing to wash it out (as I now understand, this is a sign of over-processing). It was progressively worse AFTER the second bleaching session. Hair was breaking off at the demarkation point of where she used the 30 volume developer. I told her it was breaking off in the back and on my left side at the second session, I just did not shove it in her face. Basically the situation was ignored. Yes, in retrospect, it was stupid on part to continue trusting she could repair the situation. I returned for a 3rd and 4th visit in hopes of her repairing the color and the breakage. I pointed out the breakage AND I WAS TOLD EVERYONES HAIR ALWAYS HAS BREAKAGE! Needless to say, I'm shocked at Brittany's and the salon's lack of responsibility for her mistake. Yes, mistakes happen, but how you deal with it is what creates a reputation of good or bad. Ignoring it, or blaming the client is a VERY POOR AND UNPROFESSIONAL way of handling things. I've added images of some of the emails. Denial of the facts and attempting to blame your customers for your error is a bad business practice. read more
