Over all I would recommend coming here. I was happy because I got a last minute appointment (less than 24 hours before!) Compared to other salons in Denver- the prices are average. Make sure to be very specific about what you want. Otherwise you will end up paying more! I went in and asked for a balayage and ended up paying for full highlights which was significantly more. The quality of the hair products used seemed good- they smelled good at least. The hair wash was interesting, I had one of the assistants wash my hair which was odd and I wasn't sure if I should tip her and my stylists or what to do... also I was the only one with an assistant washing my hair! They give you a choice of drinks when you come in from water to wine which is fun. Tips expectation is 20% from what the front staff told me- again I don't go to salons often so I asked what the usual tip was. With a cut. Full highlight, shampoo, and a little styling at the end + tip I walked out the door for $367. The most expensive hair cut I have ever gotten. I hope that the color settles in and it grows out ok! 4 stars because if i am going to pay more than what was quoted to me originally, you should be upfront about that when you are suggesting/making changes. Because my usual hair stylist was no longer at the salon I've frequented for the past several years, I was on the nerve-racking search for someone and somewhere new. Living in RiNo, I wanted to support a local business. The Parlour seemed to have great reviews on Yelp, it's super cute on the inside, and I love a bunch of other spots in the little plaza it's located in. Lots of positives. Parking can be a challenge as usual in this neighborhood. Coming from the other side of town, I was running a little late, so I called to give them a heads up. Totally understood if they needed to charge me a cancellation fee, but I'm grateful that Lindsay accommodated me. She was absolutely wonderful and engaging, and I love the cleaned-up hairstyle she gave me. The only thing that ruined my experience was the passive aggressive person working at the front desk that kept making snide remarks to Lindsay about how I set her behind schedule and other customers were waiting on me. Wtf I was literally sitting within earshot. That hostile attitude might be enough to make me never come back again and keep exploring my options, but we'll see how I feel by the time I'm ready for another cut. read more

I have just moved to Denver so I'm still exploring the area. After a failed attempt/appointment at another salon due to technical glitches on the site, I went on Yelp and found The Parlour. I thought I had successfully booked online, to my surprise it didn't. Lol so I went into the salon and they didn't find my name on the list. Christy was so nice and accommodating in taking me in for a deep conditioning treatment. She suggested another treatment for my hair which lasts longer. She squeezed me in at such a short notice and was very welcoming to a newbie like me. I highly recommend her- for this service alone and hospitality I've experienced, I will definitely come back. It's the little things that makes customers want to come back and be regulars. She also recommended products, but wasn't pushy or feels like she's forcing you to buy it. The woman that did my hair yesterday was very very sweet so I still paid and tipped as I don't think she meant to (and I didn't realize until I got home), but we agreed on cutting off about an inch (my hair was to my shoulders) she cut off at least three inches. My hair is way too short. It is also noticeably uneven. I am going out of town today to see people I haven't seen since college.... I am always looking for a new hair person. I used to go to my aunt, but she has retired and left me looking for someone knew. I have gone to Xia twice now and have left excited every time, which is a rarity for me regarding my hair. The salon is modern and relaxed and not at all like other stuffy, uncomfortable high-end salons. It is welcoming with free refreshments, comfortable seating, and nice modern music. Xia is an absolute joy. She remembers details about me after only meeting me twice, she is kind and gentle and willing to work with my hair which is difficult due to a history of over-dying it and an auto-immune disorder, but she never complains and comforts me that I'm capable of any style that any one else has. I had my hair cut by Sia who was pleasant to have a conversation with and listened to what I wanted and when I was opened to suggestions have me some really great omes. I'm a bit fussy about who touches my hair and my regular hair stylist is in Lakewood and taking time to get out there is too much. I started hearing great things about this salon and now I'm a convert. Different stylists have different prices, so ask about pricing going in. I've worked with XIa (pronounced Sia) twice and I love her. She does a good amount of consulting and asking questions so you love your results. She's also really creative and passionate about her work. Cut and blowout was $39 and Color and Glass was $65. Wowza this place was amazing! The atmosphere, the drink options while I'm waiting, and the friendly staff were already on par, but my stylist was the cherry on top! I was a loyal customer to my previous stylist at a different salon, but she ended up pursuing her dream career and sadly had to leave, which made me happy/sad because I'd be going to her since I moved here 4 years ago, but Addie made me feel like she'd been my girl for that entire time! She was so sweet, funny, a great listener, and an AMAZING stylist! She asked a bunch of questions and nailed exactly what I was wanting, and brought my curls back to life. Loved everything about my experience at The Parlour RiNo. The space was beautiful - clean, modern, great music, friendly/inviting staff. Amanda was awesome - cut my hair exactly as I wanted it. The cut included a wash/head and neck massage which felt incredible after a long week and a blow dry to finish. I typically don't like the way stylists dry my hair after a cut but I absolutely loved the way Amanda styled my hair.
