I went on Sunday for a blow out and left highly disappointed. I have thick short hair and when the woman got done drying it, it was SUPER oily and the conditioner was clearly not fully rinsed out, instead of fixing it, she just sprayed it with a bunch of dry shampoo. It felt cakey, unclean and I ended up having to wash my hair that night. It was a waste of time and money. I would not recommend going here. read more

I went with a group and wanted my hair blown dry to preserve my curls, rather than blowing my hair out straight. I called beforehand and they assured me they could do it but I'd have to bring my own products, which I did. I showed them a photo of what I wanted. They were unable to recreate it. The woman drying my hair did not listen to me when I said to blowdry from underneath only. She did some drying from the side, which left me with a layer of frizzy hair over my curls. They had to rewet my hair and redo it with a senior stylist. It still didn't end up looking like the photo, but it looked ok. The only reason I went there was because I was with a group. If you have curly hair, skip Drybar and go to a salon where the stylists listen to you and know what they're doing. Everyone was very nice, and it was very clean, but they should have been honest when I called to see if they could do curly hair. read more

As someone with a corporate job that requires full-time on-site presence and a pulled together look, I was so excited to learn that a Drybar was coming to my neighborhood. I currently have a Barfly membership here so I can get regular blowouts for work. Having been here for three blowouts in the last three weeks, the quality of the style and staying power varies depending on who does your hair and how much product they use. For best results, decline the hairspray and ask them to go light on the product. The first time I had a blow out here, I had to wash it out within 2 days because my hair had a heavily perfumed (not in a good way) smell and was greasy by the next day (highly unusual for me). I did also find that each stylist interprets the styles differently, so be as specific as possible and do not be scared to speak up. If I can offer constructive advice, it would be beneficial to have hand mirrors so clients can see what is being done to their hair. The TVs don't allow clients to see what is being done as it occurs, and by the time you turn the client around to reveal the final look it's already too late to fix a part in the wrong place or bangs that have already been coaxed the wrong way with too much product. This place certainly has potential; I'm hoping to find a favorite stylist or two in the coming weeks! read more

When I got a phone call asking if I wanted a Barfly membership, my answer was an enthusiastic YES! I visited Drybar Denver Central Park for a blowout before a wedding, and while the customer service was excellent, the actual service was extremely disappointing. I asked for lots of volume and curls (Southern Comfort), but despite explaining my straight hair concerns several times, the stylist's approach failed. My hair was still straight after using rollers, and a rushed curling iron attempt didn't last. By the time I reached my hotel, the curls were gone, leaving me to scramble to fix my hair in just 30 minutes. I've called multiple times since, but the manager informed me that the owner, Caitlin, who lives in Georgia and only visits once a month, must approve refunds. It's frustrating that local staff aren't empowered to address customer issues. Also, it seems the staff could benefit from better training on how to work with straight hair. I'm still waiting for a resolution and a refund. read more

I was in town for my son's wedding and had an 8:00am appointment the day of the wedding for an updo. I explained to the stylist that I needed it to last through the wedding and the ceremony was outside and it could be windy. I asked that she just made sure it lasted. Well by 10am, my curls were gone and my updo was a frizzy mess. I called the salon right away, that day, to let them know and was told a manager would contact me and that never happened. I ended up taking the updo out by 10:30 and redoing it myself. So disappointing! read more

I had an appointment here today for a blowout at 3:30 PM for a photoshoot. I was 17 minutes late due to traffic, and they refused to wash my hair. They said they could do it if I had been only 15 minutes late, which is not mentioned anywhere on their website and no one told me over the phone. These 2 minutes changed everything. DO NOT COME HERE IF IT IS FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION. The staff here is not understanding, they do not care about you or your day. They just want you to pay and leave. Very disappointed, very unsatisfied, and DO NOT RECOMMEND. I am not coming back again. read more

I really wish I could give this place no stars. Absolutely the worst experience and horrific customer service that I have ever experienced. The stylists are lovely but the owner is the absolute worst. Caitlyn who lives in Georgia doesn't seem to have a clue about how to operate a business!! She doesn't treat her stylists with respect either, and doesn't listen to her customers. I went in for a blow out with extensions and came out with flat greasy hair. I didn't want to hurt the stylists feelings so I waited a few hours to call and tell them how I wasn't happy about my experience, and that's when the owner flipped a switch on me. Just a terrible experience, terrible customer service and I would rather support any one but them again. Be careful oh and ladies, craft collection is ten minutes down the road and a million times better and Belloheaven is also just in cherry creek and arch salon.
